On October 27, 2008, Jodi Lynne Torok was at her Crofton, MD home talking on the phone with her close friend, Blair Wolfe, when a man, purporting to be a salesman, knocked on her front door. Jodi ended the call to respond to the so-called salesman, but thereafter never called Ms. Wolfe back or answered any of Wolfe's subsequent telephone calls. Growing increasingly concerned, Ms. Wolfe telephoned the victim's roommate, and requested that she leave work and return home to make sure that the victim was safe. Upon arriving at the residence that she shared with the victim, Ms. Higgs found the front door unlocked and the victim lying on the foyer, unconscious and bleeding from a gunshot wound to her head. At the time, she was two months pregnant. As a result of the gunshot wound, the victim's pregnancy was terminated, and she suffered severe and disabling injuries. The State developed a theory that, Charles Martin was in a relationship with the victim and upon learning of Torok’s refusal to obtain an abortion, solicited a friend to kill Torok and assisted Burks in the murder. The State charged Martin with solicitation of murder and accessory before the fact to attempted murder in the first degree. He was convicted and sentence to life in prison. The Christmas show will include 78 performances from November 5 through December 30. Brandon Martin, President and CEO of the American Music Theatre says the show is written, built, and produced entirely in house with a team of artists and creatives. “This is a special show, and I think they all are, quite honestly. But we're so excited for this one. You know, each year is very different and is kind of redesigned and rebuilt and created from the ground up. This year is really kind of a nod to the nostalgia of Christmas and a lot of the traditions that so many families hold dear. It takes place in a town square, which is just cynically stunning with a lot of hustle and bustle, some last-minute shopping, some festivities, tree lighting transitions into a grand cathedral for some of the sacred aspects of our show. Of course, there's quite a bit of merriment with some elves and Santa as well for the for the kids of all ages, church choir. But a real kind of family. And community vibe around this one that focuses a lot on that tradition.” The show features 55 singers, dancers, musicians, and youth performances from across the country. Auditions occur throughout the year with on-site rehearsals that begins as early as September. “In fact, we've been working in earnest on this particular show since January of this year. So, yeah, and even a little bit before then really in terms of the design aspects of it. Casting begins typically in the spring with a cast finalized and selected going into the summer. Rehearsals begin in September. And yes, we've been well underway for the past month or so with our cast all here in Lancaster rehearsing together. And yeah, we're coming up on it. We've got about a week to go.” Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The first ever cohost on The First Gen Hunter Podcast was my buddy Brandon Martin of The Hunt Fish Life. Brandon and I have long dreamed about buying our own pieces of ground to manage for hunting opportunities, and Brandon has finally done it! He purchased a 40 acre piece of ground in his home state of Delaware where his family tree has been planted for over 400 years! Talk about being connected to a place! Brandon walked me through the search for a good hunting property, the finances for buying one, and the features he loves the most about his new place to hunt. A True Anarchist is one who refuses to make violent claims of ownership over another living beings property and refuses to support those who are willing to perform violent acts in order to make claims of ownership over another living beings property. The understanding of Natural Law and Objective Morality, alongside remaining responsible for what are our Free Will choices and seeking the abolition of any and all ruling classes; these are the modern day praxes of any True Anarchist. Has this always been the case? Just what has the modern day True Anarchist learned from the past? What did the progenitors of this philosophy get correct? What did they get wrong? This and more on this edition of A Hitchhiker's Guide to Truth! On this edition of A Hitchhiker's Guide to Truth, we are joined by Brandon Martin. In his own words Brandon describes himself- "I'm an Independent Researcher, Symbolist, Alchemist, Philosopher, De-Occultist, Public Speaker, Founder of the SEED Truth Academy, S.E.E.D Conference, Co-Host of the Cubbywhole Podcast, with experience in Live speaking, Graphics Design and Event Organization. I am an activist for Natural Law, Freemasonry, and the Mystery Traditions. I am working on a few Books, and many Essays that pertain to critical topics for the betterment of the species. I have the goal of creating an evolutionary shift into a Moral society through raising Consciousness at the aggregate level. Through my presentations videos, Podcast, and Essays I attempt to take people on an inward journey of self-exploration, examining human Consciousness and the way these things pertain to the Universal problems which we all currently facing as a species. Super excited to announce new guest, Brandon Martin, to The Story!Born and raised in Lancaster, PA. Brandon grew up a youth of the 90's grunge-rock era with dreams of his high-school rock band somehow making it big. Through high school he worked both as a stage tech at AMT (family business), as well as a local stagehand in Philly and Hershey for large concert tours that would come through the area, which is where he was first exposed to live touring production. Around this same time, Brandon's band recorded their first demo album, at which point he could finally hear just how amatuer they were. So Brandon set his sights on the next best thing, in his book. After graduating high school Brandon packed up a few belongings in a U-haul and drove south to Florida, where he attended Full Sail University to get an education in being a sound guy. After graduating Full Sail, Brandon immediately drove back to Lancaster and showed up on the doorstep of Clair Brothers Audio, in Lititz, in search of a job. Barry Clair agreed to chat with him and asked him what he thought he could do, if hired. Brandon told him he'd sweep up the warehouse, if he had a broom for him. He hired Brandon on the spot. He worked his way through the shop and about 6 months later he was given his first touring gig with an established band. It's been quite a winding road, since then, but here he is, back in Lancaster again; now with three kids and a wife he says he doesn't deserve, and a job that allows him to still pretend to be in the music business. These days, Brandon's time at AMT is pretty evenly split between overseeing production, marketing and sales, and booking shows. He gets to work with an awesome bunch of people who try their hardest to make him look good, but that can be a tall order.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-story/donations
