The Cincinnati Reds put together the best week of the season, thanks to four walk-offs, and are getting healthy at a time where they may be able to play some better baseball. Jeff and Steve look at the walk-off heroes of Nick Senzel, Mike Moustakas, Albert Almora, and the balk rule and how it will have a positive impact on the rest of the season. Senzel is turning things around and with the return of Tyler Stephenson, and continued good play from All Star snub Brandon Drury, this Reds lineup is looking dangerous. Nick Lodolo's encouraging return has the pitching staff looking brighter. Combined with good performances from Hunter Greene and All Star Luis Castillo, the Reds used pitching to sweep the Tampa Bay Rays. Also, the Toronto Blue Jays reportedly want Luis Castillo and have some exciting prospects who could put the Reds on track for a deep contender in 2024.*SUBSCRIBE* on YouTube and *FOLLOW* the podcast on your favorite app and on Twitter and Instagram @lockedonredsAlso follow @jefffcarr and @soffenbaker on Twitter Call or text (513) 549-0159Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. This week, BetPrep's Player Prop Guru Brad Feinberg discusses his top MLB player props as of June 10, 2022 with host and BetPrep Editor Michael Salfino of The Athletic and FiveThirtyEight. Player props include Albert Almora, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Ian Anderson, and Christian Walker
Today in the studio we have Chicago Cubs Hero and one of Hialeah's own, Albert Almora. Join us as Mario and Albert talk about from what it's like winning a World Series to raising kids. Join us!
Bad series. Really bad series. One of the WORST series the Mets played all season. We break down every game and wallow in our sadness for the season probably finally being over. James breaks down Adam Wainwright and shares a hidden reason about how and why he is still able to pitch at such a high level. Marc let's Albert Almora have it and both of our patience with Luis Rojas is beginning to wear thin. One silver-lining, Marcus Stroman is a marvel and James describes how he has been so dominant and whether it can last through 2022 and beyond. More jokes this episode because we're sad. We're all just dust in the wind anyway. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/metsdup/support
The Mets manager joins us to talk about his handling of the bullpen, sending up Albert Almora at the end of the game, whether he is managing with urgency and if he thinks the Yankees cheated over the weekend. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We can call one game a sweep, right? Well, the Mets were supposed to play more baseball this week, but three rainouts cut into the week's schedule. Regardless, they took three of four from the Rockies and demolished the Braves in the lone weekend game to end the homestand on a nice four-game win streak. They've got the D-Backs and Padres on the road this week, and it looks like some reinforcements are on the way. Pete Alonso, Seth Lugo, and Kevin Pillar will return on the road trip. J.D. Davis, Luis Guillorme, and Albert Almora might only be about a week away. Despite the bad injury news about Noah Syndergaard, there's lots of good news for the Mets. We talk about it. We also talk about how good the bullpen has been - and in doing so, Sam rights a wrong and admits he had a Bad Take during the late offseason. Sam also went to a game at Citi Field this week! It was the PGE crew's first game back at the ballpark since it reopened. He gives his thoughts on being back home. Also, Marcell Ozuna is a piece of trash who should never play baseball again. We give our thoughts about him. And, of course, we remember some guys. This week, Sam tried to step it up after utterly failing in his guy remembering last week. Enjoy the episode, Mets fans! The Mets have grabbed more depth for their outfield by signing Kevin Pillar to a one-year, $5 million deal. Pillar will probably place above Albert Almora on the depth chart, but the Mets still haven't grabbed anyone's attention with their outfield acquisitions. Edwin Encarnacion is hoping for another shot with a team as his career might be nearing its end.

Well, Mets fans, it has been a busy couple weeks since we last spoke. We're even coming to you under different circumstances. In case you missed it, Pleasant Good Evening is now an independent podcast, but don't worry because the content train still rolls on. In the wake of the Jared Porter scandal and the recent news of Mickey Callaway also being a serial creep, we wanted to provide a spotlight to a couple of our favorite women in baseball content creation. So, joining us on podcast this week is Allison McCage (@PetitePhD), one of the hosts of Amazin' Avenue's exceptional women-led podcast, A Pod Of Their Own (@APodOfTheirOwn). Allison helps us break down the recent slew of Mets depth acquisitions - Jordan Yamamoto, Aaron Loup, Albert Almora, and the three arms the Mets got in exchange for Steven Matz - and gives her thoughts on why the Mets' offseason feels disappointing. We are then joined by Allie Kaylor (@cincinnallie), assistant sports editor of the Daily Orange, Syracuse University's student newspaper, and resident online Reds fan. She tells us about her experience having to watch Trevor Bauer as a fan and helps break down why the Mets dodged a bullet when Bauer spurned the Mets for the Dodgers. In my second segment, I welcomed Kelly Wallace of Locked On Cubs to chat about Ian Happ vs. Albert Almora in the outfield, as well as the breakout season of Baez.
