You know, the part when Kathy Bates brutally smashes James Caan's feet with a sledge hammer! This is easily one of the most cringe-worthy scenes ever shot for a movie and it was perfectly executed. We discuss how the scene came together, how it originally played out in the book, and all of the issues that it caused over the course of the development of the film. In fact, several actors passed on starring in the film because of this one particular scene. The scene was just too brutal and crazy for them! Follow us on Twitter and Facebook - @GTSecretLevel

In Episode 10 of Secret Level, we share a story from the development of  Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings that you probably don't know. This is the story of Gimli stunt double Brett Beattie. Beattie is the unsung hero of the making of the fantasy film trilogy. He spent more time playing Gimli than actor John Rhys-Davies! While Rhys-Davies provided the close-up shots and voice of Gimli, Beattie did everything else for the role. The dude has quite the incredible story of toil as he sustained major injuries playing Gimli. He was such a huge part of the projection that he was invited to get the famous tattoo with the rest of the main cast members! Beattie put his blood sweat and tears into these movies, but he never got the real credit he deserved. Brett Beattie is our hero, so we wanted to dedicate this episode to him.Follow us on Twitter and Facebook - @GTSecretLevel
