Today on the podcast, I have Career Coach, Claudia Miller, to talk about what it takes to land your dream career. Claudia began career coaching because she was looking to accelerate her own career. She was investing in resources: coaches, resume writers, courses, workshops, books and networking in order to advance in her career. Eventually, she learned how to hack career success. She was finally able to reach her goals, receive salary increases, promotions and pivot effortlessly into different careers. Because of this success, she began to help her friends do the same. Her goal is now to help more people get the jobs they want, while getting paid what they're worth- especially women. $What we love about Claudia is how she understands the power of mindset and the fears that keep people stuck in jobs they hate, or too scared to ask for a higher salary. Together, we discuss the stories people tell themselves around getting paid more and the concept of reframing thoughts around money. If you enjoyed this conversation, be sure to check out some of Claudia's resources below. She's held various positions with different companies, but COVID forced her let go and start over. Emily had dreamt of being an entrepreneur, but never actually thought it was something she could do. Since starting her own company, she has found so much pride and strength in stepping outside her comfort zone and creating her own terms of what work could be. All of her skills from her various positions have come in handy in order to build her own wellness programs for moms. One of the most defining moments for Emily that prompted her to start this transition was watching her daughter play and wanting to make her daughter, as well as herself, PROUD.Emily also discusses the concept of bringing yourself and your own personal style to your work, no matter what profession you are in. "As long as we bring ourselves with us, we leave our authentic footprint in anything we do."Emily's best tip for anyone considering a career transition or starting a passion project is to find out what truly brings you joy and also, give yourself the permission to do the thing. This week on the podcast, we have Lauren Kranich (@holisticwellnessyogi), Holistic Wellness Counselor, who helps clients understand their unique dosha properties and create a lifestyle that helps them thrive. Lauren's journey with Ayurveda started when she was diagnosed with auto-immune conditions and found healing through Ayurveda. After finding wellness through Ayurveda, Lauren decided to dive in and learn more. She now supports and empowers others on their journey to better health. My conversation with Lauren includes some noteworthy insight for transitioning from the Winter months to Spring. Lauren explains how in Ayurveda, each season is governed by a dosha. We are currently leaving winter (kapha) to enter into spring. When we know our unique makeup, it can help us to understand how the season changes can trigger us and what foods/actions can help bring us into balance. An example of this is when we leave winter and enter spring, our bodies want to shed the heaviness (mucus, weight, lower back pain, heaviness in our thoughts, stagnation). Lauren helps her clients to do this, by practicing a cleanse to clear mind, body and spirit (which includes incorporating a morning routine, eating easy-to-digest foods, moving our bodies in nourishing ways). *Check out her website for a special offer on her Spring Cleanse. Cleansing also allows us to create space for what we want to invite in for the rest of the year (planting the seeds of spring that turn into the actions/growth of the summer, and the harvest/gratitude of the fall)To learn more about Lauren and her other offerings, visit Laurenkranich.comThank you so much for being here and we hope you enjoyed this episode!
