A health coach who is into beauty can take advantage of one of the biggest markets around. After all, our health is a direct correlation to how good we look. In the emerging markets of anti-aging and renewed emphasis on skincare, a health coach can show a unique approach in this market and can carve out a unique and profitable niche. Chris Gibson joins the show to show how he did just that. Chris is a health coach who used his own struggles with his skin to create a successful business helping others overcome their own skin issues.
Transformations are more often results of choices rather than circumstances! The desire to transform is not in short supply. People want to change their lives, have bigger houses, earn more money, spend more time with their families, and have healthier bodies. Despite these desires, very few actually achieve their goals, because most people look to their circumstances instead of themselves. Most people attribute deteriorating health to work and family obligations, overwhelming amounts of stress, old injuries, among other excuses that form a long list, EXCLUDING PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY! On today's episode, we've got Ross Assenheim to set the record straight! There will always be work, family obligations, stress, and other issues that will interrupt your transformation, ONLY if you let these factors take the wheel. Ross is a husband, and a father of 2 kids. He works insane hours (in the evening) managing his business, comes home to fulfill his obligations to his family, gets very little sleep, BUT still manages to find time to go to the gym and maintain a fit and healthy body! Before he decided to take control of his life, he was overweight and was suffering from slipped discs. To keep himself awake during the night, he consumes large amounts of sugar and caffeine in energy drinks. Besides that, he also craved heavily for sweets like chocolates. However, his body could only tolerate so much abuse. He started having a hard time moving and he experienced more aches and pains. That's when he decided he needed to take charge in taking back his health. Getting inspiration from different biohackers, he went on a journey to build a fit and healthy body. He not only transformed himself but also inspired family, friends and colleagues to make positive changes in their lifestyles. What was key for Ross's transformation? What are some of the techniques he employed? How does his personal transformation affect the people around him? Check out this episodes to learn more about being personally accountable for health transformations and inspiring others to follow the same road to fitness and health. ---------------- Follow me on Instagram and feel free to DM about 1-1 online training @krisgethin Do you need elite sports supplements you can trust to help you achieve your goals in the gym and in life? Sometimes our biggest barrier to change is the belief that we shouldn't have negative thoughts. After working so hard to stay positive, think healthier thoughts, and adopt a good mindset, negative thoughts should go away, right? Not so fast… Your brain is wired to avoid pain and keep you safe. So, it is always going to offer thoughts to steer you away from expending too much energy, creating change…even if it's positive, or letting go of what has caused pain in the past. Because if you let go you might do it again. At least from your brain's perspective. Let me save you a lot of energy and struggle with this one simple tip: Let your brain think all the negative thoughts it wants to. Yep, stop fighting it. Confused? Check out this episode and let me clear it up for you. Referred to in this episode: 5 Day Sugar Challenge Bob Newhart – Stop it

With evolution comes renewed purpose and renewed life! Think about it! Sooner or later, we're bound to outgrow our current roles. And if we don't evolve, we risk falling into a life of redundancy, of wasted talents and opportunities, and of less than meaningful existence – that which is no way to live at all! In this solo episode, Kris Gethin recounts his journey of evolution and what that meant for Kaged Muscle. He went to college and took up International Health and Sports Therapy. From there, he took other courses and certifications in order to expand his knowledge on what he was passionate about. Kris knew he couldn't wear the skin of being just a student forever. In order to grow further in pursuit of his passion, he had to apply what knew, thus deciding to compete in his first body-building competition. From there, he became a personal trainer, became editor-in-chief of a body-building website, and also became a video trainer. It was at the time of being a video trainer that Kris felt more responsibility towards the supplements he suggested to his audience, and so he started testing all sorts of supplements. There he began understanding the gaps in the food supplement industry. Wanting to bridge the health and performance sectors, he partnered with close friends who shared in his goal and they came up with Kaged Muscle. As Kris and his partners continued growing as people and professionals, so did Kaged Muscle. They began to feel they weren't doing themselves justice by remaining as Kaged Muscle. Some people thought the brand was too hardcore. If they wanted to help MORE people achieve their health goals, they had to balance “healthy” and “hardcore”. To reach target audience from different age groups, lifestyles, and other demographics, Kaged Muscle had to evolve. Still about muscle, still hardcore, but now, KAGED means something MORE! What makes the brand better? What NEW benefits can you expect? How does KAGED give more people the chance at great health and a full life? Check out this episode to learn more about finding new purpose through evolution, and what the NEW and Improved [KAGED] has in store for you! ---------------- Follow me on Instagram and feel free to DM about 1-1 online training @krisgethin Do you need elite sports supplements you can trust to help you achieve your goals in the gym and in life? Hello, and welcome to the Women Leaders podcast! I'm Patti Phillips, CEO of Women Leaders in College Sports. Today, to start the new year, I'm excited to share this illuminating and inspiring conversation with Jill Sharp, a performance and health coach for leaders and teams. This is the perfect way to start the new year! For the past 17 years, Jill has been on a mission to create positive change and unleash potential. She is an expert in the field of energy and performance, and she supports those looking to sharpen their personal and professional edge. Jill tells us that the linchpin in our ability to perform in life lies with our energy—how much we have and how well we manage it. In fact, much of how we show up and what we can deliver in life is about energy management, not time management. And we're talking about more than just physical energy—we are talking mental, emotional, relational, spiritual. So if you want to thrive this year, listen in as Jill shares her Performance Formula, which can also be a template to help you set your goals and intentions for the year. This includes thoughtfulness about your mission and goals, mindset, training, and more. And guess what, we are always training our bodies and minds, whether we are conscious of it or not. Jill shares her performance formula and talks about how she coaches people to be fully in the driver's seat of their lives. Don't miss a moment of this conversation! And remember, we are Women Leaders!

Why is it that some of our clients just “get it” - they do what they're supposed to and they get great results because of it...where others always seem to struggle and resist change? Why do we “click” more with some clients better than others...and why do some coaching calls seem to “flow” effortlessly, whereas others feel like we're clawing our way up a never-ending hill?In today's episode we're going to uncover the real culprit to these discrepancies, plus leave you with a clear understanding of how your clients brains are wired and how to use that to your advantage as a coach. For more information on the 4 faces of food, watch this training: https://go.triggermapping.com/tmtrainingHere are a few ways we can keep this party going

If you want a copy of POWER QUESTIONS that I mentioned at the end? Find that baby right over here: https://go.triggermapping.com/powerquestionsIt's not ONLY the type of question you ask that matters!!If you truly want to get the root of why your clients feel stuck or “keep getting in their own way”……we must also be able to create the type of relationship that allows for deep answers to surface FROM the questions we ask.Without our clients stone-walling us or just spewing out everything and anything they think “might” be important.Think about it like this…In a chemical reaction we need a catalyst in order to create an explosion, right? So then, if asking great questions and creating breakthroughs for your clients is the EXPLOSION...…what I teach you about vulnerability in this episode is the CATALYST you need to make the breakthrough possible. Here are a few ways we can keep this party going
Bianca Crino is a 27-year-old Health Coach, Reiki Practitioner, author, and course builder/creator. She was born and raised in Sydney, Australia and currently resides in Poland. Ms. Crino began to feel “unwell” shortly after her 22nd birthday. She experienced brain fog, severe fatigue, neck pain and headaches. Her debilitating symptoms caused her to seek diagnostic and treatment assistance from more than 6 medical doctors resulting in misdiagnosis including Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, CFS, and depression. Her healing journey began when a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor utilized a blood test from the German BCA Lab to diagnose her with Lyme disease. Shortly after the diagnosis, the disease progressed and stole her capacity “to function at all.” The next page in her healing journey was written when she traveled to Malaysia for treatment. During her time there, Ms. Crino started an Instagram page to seek advice and counsel from members of the Lyme community. Ms. Crino discovered that as she leaned into vulnerably sharing her story on Instagram, the community would provide her with advice which she would in turn share on her page to pass on the healing models to others. The cycle of giving and receiving guided Ms. Crino to her purpose: channeling healing tools and tips to people suffering from Lyme disease. If you would like to learn more about how Lyme disease taught a healing channel and health coach to accept the responsibility to help others by healing herself first, then tune in now!
The road to achieving great mental and physical health can be difficult when our heads are filled with noise! In that journey, having the focus to maintain hard work and dedication is of utmost importance, but that's what most of us fall short of. It can only get easier when we develop discipline and start “seeing things the way they really are” – the very definition of Vipassana! Vipassana meditation is a technique taught at 10-day residential courses. Participants go on retreat in order to learn basics of the method, and immerse themselves in practice in order to experience its benefits. This is a great method that fosters mental and physical health, but is no means a “magic bullet”. It requires hard work and dedication, and participants are known to drop out of the course. People second guess the program, underestimate the value of it, or overestimate themselves believing they can easily master the course on their own without the difficult challenges. This begs the question, why go through with it at all? Why bother finishing the program? A few benefits of the Vipassana Meditation course: It teaches discipline (which most people lack) needed for achieving great mental and physical health – no books, no cellphones or gadgets, just pure meditation. You get to eat clean food – plant-based diet is served twice a day in the camp. It's a great way to kill cravings and manage food instability (like your snacking tendencies). It's completely FREE – 1000s of meditation centers across the globe offer the same program, free of charge, to anyone and everyone. These programs continue through the donations of people who finished the course and experienced the extremely powerful benefits. It took time to build bad habits and it's also going to take time to replace them with good ones. It's going to be a challenge but it's definitely worth it, and highly achievable with meditation retreats. You can take whichever course you want but when your health is on the line, why not take the proven and effective route that comes free of charge? What are other benefits of meditation courses? How do you SURVIVE in such unfamiliar environments and methods? How does this work together with my other health and wellness programs? Check out this episode to learn more about tips and techniques to survive in a 10-day Meditation retreat, and the benefits you come out with! Looking for more? Are you feeling burnt out? Are you constantly daydreaming about your side hustle or passion project and wishing that you could dedicate more time to something that truly brings you joy? If so, you don't need work-life balance一you need a career change. Your career should be an extension of yourself, your purpose, and your mission. To some people, this may seem like an idyllic concept, but for ITN Founder Cynthia Garcia, it's how she stays grounded in her work. Instead of work-life balance, she strives for integrating work into her life so that she's not chasing (and failing) at balancing everything. But, there's a fine line between being passionate about your career and being a workaholic. On today's episode, Cynthia shares how being a workaholic negatively affected her relationships and overall well being, which prompted her to shift gears and follow her passion of creating ITN. She also gives self-evaluation prompts for listeners to reflect on and take action if they need to. Listen in to hear how you can create a career that feeds you instead of drains you. Listen In: Love is one of the most powerful emotions a human being will ever experience. Love nurtured and reciprocated mutually leaves room for love to be reinvented in the most positive ways continually reinventing itself between two people over and over again creating growth, wisdom and a positive cycle of life emotionally. We also must look at love when it is not reciprocated or shared in a positive way may lead to control and manipulation and from there also you will experience growth and hurt. The most important thing you can do for yourself as a human being is to learn to channel the hurt in a positive way and learn instead of repeating the same destructive behavior because you have a type in a mate. Broaden your horizon and open up to life, open up to self love and discovery. You owe it to yourself to learn and explore life After all love is the an emotion which has a universal language of its own. Two people can fall in love from entirely two different parts of the world and not speak the same language but love will teach them and again the growth process starts.Your host of the Auspicious Wellness Optimal Wellness Podcast - Debra Smith Torrence Certified Life and Health Coach, CBD Manufacture, Medical Supplies and Equipment Suppler, Micro Nutrient and Supplement Supplier and a Certified Woman Owned Small Business is here for another episode centered around the most powerful emotion (LOVE).Your Co-Host Juan Lee had seen the message of love made so difficult that it'sconfusing. The amount of marketing options are dizzying. The more you listen to what the experts claim works in marketing, the more confusing it can get. Truth is, what works for them might not work for you. To discover what works requires a healthy amount of trial and error, but once you find out, your practice will soar! To guide us on this concept, we invited Hanna Hermanson to the show. Hanna is the founder of Dream Life is Real Life Podcast and owner of the Done For You (DFY) Copywriting Agency.

Managing adult friendships and relationships is something that a lot of us struggle with, but we seldom talk about. On today's episode, ITN Founder Cynthia Garcia is pulling back the curtain about the realities of maintaining and creating relationships and why it's crucial to have stable, healthy bonds as an adult. When we feel connected to others, it helps us feel understood, confident, and safe. Everyone needs to have their tribe of folks who celebrate and support each other. But as an adult, it's not as easy as playing in the sandbox together or sitting next to each other in a classroom. As we get older, our priorities and interests shift, and sometimes our relationships go on the back burner. At ITN, we consider the three most basic human needs are to feel seen, heard, and like they matter. Cynthia shares three tips for how to cultivate meaningful relationships and make sure that the important people in your life know that they're loved. Tune in to learn simple ways that you can show up more actively in your relationships and prioritize the special people in your life. In Amazonian Shamanism, gaining experience with ayahuasca is important, and what is more important is learning the wisdom that the master plant teachers of the amazon and of the forests are telling us. Bringing this wisdom in and calling in the plant spirits into ayahuasca ceremony aids in deeper healing, support & protection for safe and powerful ceremonies for the participants. Today I discuss the shamanic plant dieta I recently did with one of the tallest trees in the Amazon, Lupuna Blanca. In this podcast share what profound insight I gained by just sitting and saturating myself with this plant and nothing else. We dive deeper into the beautiful world of Ayahuasca, Amazonian Shamanism, dreamwork, plants as teachers, tapping into our own divinity & power, letting go of control and seeing your true intrinsic value. Wake up, drive to work, sit for eight hours, drive home, order dinner delivery, and then plop on the couch for some much-needed zone out time. Sound familiar? As a society, being sedentary has become the norm and the negative health effects are starting to catch up. ITN Founder Cynthia Garcia is diving into how being sedentary affects us physically, mentally and spiritually, and simple tips for how to create a more active lifestyle. According to Dr. James Levine, author of Get Up! Why Your Chair Is Killing You and What You Can Do About It, life expectancy decreases by 22 minutes for every one hour spent watching television. Luckily, there are a few easy ways that can radically change your life, like doing light housework or walking on a treadmill while you watch your favorite show. Being sedentary doesn't just affect adults, though. Nearly two thirds of our children are insufficiently active. Cynthia shares tips for how to get the whole family off the couch, like her family's post-dinner walks around the neighborhood. Listen in to learn more about the health benefits of an active lifestyle and ways to add meaningful movement into your life today! In this episode, you'll discover: Surprising statistics about how being sedentary negatively affects your overall health Ways to approach movement in a sustainable way Why a standing desk isn't the magic solution to society's sedentary epidemic Cynthia's “3 S's” method to get moving during the work day Simple lifestyle shifts that you can implement today Important Links: Show notes for this episode Transcripts for this episode Resources Mentioned: Transformation Generation Facebook group Learn more about becoming a Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach Watch the Dream Career video series Follow Us: Visit our website Follow us on Instagram Follow us on Facebook Connect with ITN student, Jessica Davis, on Instagram

In this episode, I share my top 5 health tips to help you prepare for a healthy 2022. Before I share a summary of the resources I must provide a disclaimer: All of the information in this podcast is for general informational and educational purposes only. I do not practice medicine and do not make any guarantees about the following recommendations. This information is not intended to treat or cure any medical conditions. Please consult a qualified health professional. 1. Have a Blood Test for Your Vitamin D Levels: This is a simple blood work test and important to know because the importance of maintaining optimal levels of vitamin D can't be overstated. It is estimated 80% of Americans are deficient. But you can't know unless you get the blood test done at your PCP or at a clinic like https://www.anylabtestnow.com/. Ideally, aim for a target Vitamin D level of 50ng/mL. When I was first tested I was in the 20s now I'm in the mid 40s. 2. Take a Vitamin D Supplement: This a vitamin traditionally associated with strong bones and is increasingly believed to play a role in a healthy immune system. The best whole food source for Vitamin D is salmon, with some also found in sardines, tuna and eggs. Research suggests that Vitamin D is best supplemented along with Vitamin K2 such as in this combination tablet from Vitacost. Vitamin D supplementation is best performed with blood level monitoring by your physician since uptake can vary by individual. 3. Take an Inflammatory Food Sensitivity Test: Just like with Vitamin D there is no way to know what foods cause inflammation in your body without blood work. This should be part of all health and wellness check-ins but it's worth it. I had this 100 food panel test done https://previmedica.com/products/100-foods-alcat-test-panel and attached my results so you can get a sense of what this $350 test gets you. A little pricey but it also comes with a 30-min call with a nutritionist to review your results 4. Partner with a Health Coach! I believe in the power of coaching, and I've got access to a network of coaches who I am happy to recommend. They are not nutritionists but help you clarify your health vision and create strategies that work for you. Coaching works! 5. Consider a DPC for your Primary Care Needs: I am 100% behind this model of primary care. It stands for Direct Plan Clinic. It is a monthly membership that is not covered by insurance...so why am I recommending it? Well imagine your primary care doctor spending between 30-60 min with you on each visit, you can text them, and it includes all visits without copays and they can do basic labs (like Vitamin D) and more. The typical primary care doctor who is part of an insurance fee for service sees 3,000 patients a year and the average DPCs only have a roster of a few hundred. When you remove the insurance company the provider can spend more time with patients and they can refer you to specialists that do take insurance if you need them. My family signed up for a DPC practice here in Durham called AccessiBull and I interviewed another DPC practice on my podcast, The Fischer Clinic if you want to take a listen here. *Bonus Tip: Get a personalized supplement recommendation at https://www.insidetracker.com/
I can't wait for you to LISTEN to this podcast. Holidays and celebrations can be the peak experiences that we look forward to all year (or let's be honest—dread). When you add children to the mix, it can create a crushing amount of pressure to make things absolutely perfect. We might do things that stress us out, don't like, or even loathe just to keep up with traditions or expectations. What if we sat back and contemplated what really matters to us? How do we want to feel on those special days and more importantly, how we want to feel after? What if you factored this into the planning phase (or last-minute scramble) so you're not exhausted, depleted, or resentful?
