Wizards of the Coast (WotC) is signaling a massive strategic shift toward outsourcing the development of official *Dungeons & Dragons* content to third-party publishers, as evidenced by a recent job post for a “TRPG Publishing Lead”. This role is explicitly tasked with overseeing “externally developed D&D content, including adventures, campaign materials, guides, and artwork”. This change follows internal team restructuring, the adoption of a holistic D&D franchise model, and WotC’s recent decision to actively feature third-party products on D&D Beyond. Although WotC has previously worked with third-party designers for early D&D 5E supplements like “Hoard of the Dragon Queen” and “Princes of the Apocalypse” The practice was largely abandoned in 2016, making this an important new chapter in the company’s relationship with outside publishers. Paizo's Pathfinder launched a new subscription service called Paizo Printables on April 2, offering 3D printable miniature files and accompanying TTRPG content. The service provides two monthly subscription tiers—$4.99 and $9.99—with the higher tier including a welcome pack of 25 minis, a monthly themed pack, and digital rulebooks. Associate publisher Thurston Hillman stated that the primary goal is accessibility, bypassing the delays of physical production, and the new format offers Paizo the freedom to create niche, setting-specific miniatures. Ultimately, Paizo aims to use the platform to introduce exclusive rules content and new ancestries to the game in the future. A new physical and digital bundle is available for the Dune – Adventures in the Imperium RPG by Modiphius, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The physical bundle includes the *Agents of Dune Deluxe Starter Set*, the Atreides collector's edition of the *Dune: Core Rulebook*, and an Arrakis-themed dice set. Most of the titles offered in the physical bundle seem to be sold out as of this post. The Kickstarter campaign for LOWLIFE: A DUNGEON DEGENERATES ROLE PLAYING GAME, by Sean Äaberg and Goblinko, is currently live and heading toward its funding goal. The project is a major expansion of the Dungeon Degenerates: Hand of Doom board game world, creating a full TTRPG described as “Grand Theft Auto meets Game of Thrones” and focused on “low drama” stories of survival in the dark fantasy continent of Bödengärd. The game utilizes a customized Old School Renaissance (OSR) engine with a d20 roll-low mechanic and features simultaneous, deadly combat. Key mechanics include tracking “Meat & Morale” as a combined resource—where the spirit often breaks before the body—and using “Heat” to track the players’ wanted level with local authorities. Gavin Baker is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Atreides Management, which oversees $7 billion across public, private, and crossover strategies focused on technology and the consumer. Gavin's deep knowledge of semiconductors and AI may be second to none, but our conversation barely touches the space. We begin with Gavin's upbringing, intellectual curiosity, and path to investing, before turning to the beliefs that shape his approach. Bryan Roth, co-founder and President of Groundspeak, shares how a simple act of curiosity in the Oregon woods sparked a global movement. Bryan traces the early days of Geocaching.com when he and a small group of friends worked late in Seattle basements and borrowed offices to build what would become a worldwide community centered on exploration and connection. The story begins on May 1, 2000 when the U.S. government ended Selective Availability and GPS accuracy suddenly sharpened. Within hours Dave Ulmer hid a black plastic bucket near Estacada, Oregon and posted its coordinates online. Inside were a few modest treasures waiting for whoever reached them first. That bucket became the world's first geocache and opened a new way of discovering place. Bryan reflects on how geocaching grew from that moment into a platform that now guides millions through forests, coastlines and cities across the globe. His stories take us from Civil War battlefields to Frankfurt forests and into the Challenger Deep, showing how curiosity can link people across distance and experience. Ele insiste que o Imperium precisa de um governo justo — viver preso ao passado é arriscar a própria destruição. Por fim, Leto ordena que Stilgar leve Ghani e fuja de Sietch Tabr se ele morrer no deserto. Leto pede, agora, que Stilgar salve vidas. Se ele morrer, Ghani será a última esperança dos Atreides. Na descida, Leto comenta, com um leve sorriso, como as moças estão bonitas naquele ano.Capítulo 18Enquanto cruzava as areias de “O Serviçal”, a caminho de Sietch Tabr, Stilgar não conseguia afastar da mente o comentário de Leto sobre como as jovens estavam bonitas naquele ano. Elas já não usam mais os trajestiladores, e as vilas começam a ser construídas com tijolos de barro. Ele sente-se parte de uma raça em extinção — mas também percebe nisso um sinal de que os Fremen estão se tornando mais parecidos com os habitantes de outros mundos do Imperium. As pessoas sempre sonharam em começar uma nova vida em outro planeta, mas para os Fremen isso jamais foi uma possibilidade. Seus antigos costumes os forçavam a olhar para dentro, não para fora. Um Sardaukar Levenbrech aparece na crista, atrás dos tigres, com o transmissor amarrado ao peito. Ele libera o comando de restrição, e os tigres atacam e matam as duas crianças. Tudo isso foi visto por um transmissor escondido no Capitólio do Príncipe. Levenbrech está convencido de que o trabalho de hoje lhe renderá uma promoção, talvez até um título real, assim que os gêmeos Atreides estiverem fora do caminho.Capítulo 5Jéssica e Gurney chegam a Arrakina vindos de Caladan e são recebidos por Alia, Irulan e Stilgar. A primeira visão distante do rosto de Alia por parte de Jéssica confirma o que ela temia: Alia está possuída. Alia percebe que a mãe sabe, mas está aliviada por ter superado esse primeiro momento. Descobrimos que, antes mesmo de Jéssica sair da rampa da nave, um plano é iniciado. Ela levanta os braços para uma bênção, e as pessoas que demoram a se ajoelhar são eliminadas ou mortas pelos homens de Gurney. Capítulo 6Leto e Ghanima estão sentados do lado de fora do Sietch Tabr. Leto diz a Ghanima que as trutas da areia foram trazidas de outro lugar, e que, no passado, Duna era um planeta úmido. Mais importante ainda, as trutas da areia estão desaparecendo agora que Duna está sendo transformada novamente em um planeta úmido. Quando as trutas da areia desaparecerem, também irão desaparecer os vermes e a especiaria. Os gêmeos querem avisar os Fremen, mas temem que Alia negue e que ninguém acredite neles. Jessica Barden is an undeniable force on screen. I first saw her in The End of the F***ing World on Netflix and immediately knew she had a one-of-a-kind energy that was bound to make any project she was part of sizzle. Sure enough, she did just that for a number of independent features, including Nicole Riegel's Holler, which was named one of the Top Ten Independent Films of 2021 by the National Board of Review. Now Barden is busy stealing scenes in yet another significant way. She's doing so in one of the most popular franchises out there opposite some of the industry's greatest icons.Barden plays a young Valya Harkonnen in Dune: Prophecy. While living on Lankiveil, Valya frequently butts heads with her family who seemingly have no urgency to restore the Harkonnen name by taking revenge on the Atreides. After her brother's murder, allegedly at the hands of Vorian Atreides, Valya joins the Sisterhood where she quickly discovers she holds great power and has few limitations when it comes to using it on others to get what she wants.With Dune: Prophecy wrapping up its first season, Barden joined me for a Collider Ladies Night conversation to revisit her journey to the franchise and to dig into how she found her Dune character alongside Emily Watson.
