Egor Zamula, the Philadelphia Flyers last remaining restricted free agent, has inked a two-year deal. Development camp is over, complete with a Jett Luchanko ELC signed. The draft wasn't as exciting as we hoped, free agency was a predictable nothing-burger, and now into the second week of the new league year, Danny Briere has not done much to differentiate this year's Flyers team from last season's, with the obvious exception of Matvei Michkov's pending arrival. When the PHLY Flyers wishlists were published last week, we got a few comments about John Tortorella's “open contempt” for Trevor Zegras, stemming from his comments about the Zegras/Sonny Milano “Michigan” goal from December 2021. But were those comments really that inflammatory? Would they hurt the chances of Danny Briere acquiring Zegras from Anaheim? We're on the verge of an important Flyers offseason, Danny Briere's second as GM. While trades can be made now, we're about a month away from the true beginning of the busy season, with the draft at the end of June and free agency beginning July 1. And the biggest piece of business the Flyers will handle on July 1 is Travis Konecny, who will officially be eligible for a contract extension at the onset of the new league year. Should the Flyers immediately re-sign TK? Should they wait? Is it a good idea to keep him at all, or should they trade him while his value is high?
