This rollicking episode features several firsts for the Ka-Pow podcast, including the revelation of Michael's secret origin growing up in a parallel universe and a new game called "To Share or Not To Share" that segues into a group intervention trying to deal once and for all with his crippling Facebook addiction.  Then we recap the most recent news, get serious for a second to remember Darwyn Cooke, and think a few Deep Thoughts about adapting art from one format into another.Length - 1:12:18Language - PG.  (Contains some mildly adult themes.)0:22:28 - TV RECAPS AND REVIEWSA Superman is cast for "Supergirl," Bendis and Maleev's "Scarlet" may be coming to Cinemax, "Mallrats 2" headed to the small screen, a strong start for "Preacher," a spoiler-filled recommendation for "Wayward Pines" and the debut of the "Lost" parody "Wrecked."-0:30:59 - COMIC BOOK NEWS"Locke & Key" returning with a one-shot, the stylish new Image series "Renato Jones: The One %," clones to run amok once again in Spider-Man's "Dead No More," our reaction to the first few offerings under the "DC: Rebirth" banner, the billion-dollar potential of DC's Super Hero Girls brand and the impact of a well-known character's death during Marvel's "Civil War II."-0:44:42 - DARWYN COOKEWe pause our usual silliness in order to eulogize the late artist and what he meant to comic book fans the world over.-0:49:31 - MOVIE NEWS"Justice League" is given an obvious title, J.K. Simmons gets in shape to play Jim Gordon, potential management changes for underperforming areas of DC, "Thor: Ragnarok" actor Jeff Goldblum describes his role and Karl Urban joins the cast, Josh Brolin getting excited to unleash Thanos, anticipation for a Black Widow film, a former colleague defends Isaac Perlmutter, "Suicide Squad" gets a rating, Norman Reedus wants to play Ghost Rider and some upcoming offerings from our local Peoples Bank Theatre. -0:56:32 - DEEP THOUGHTSIn a week where the film version of "Warcraft" totally tanked in America, yet broke box office records in China, we talk specifically about the future of big budget movies geared solely to overseas markets and then more generally about the difficulty of adapting art into a different format.  We debate the subtleties between movies, television, comics, novels, video games and stage performances, and try to decide which is the best way to tell a story and why so many new versions of old favorites fail so spectacularly.

Ibbott, Charles, Paul, and the whole damn show, get out of order, as they contemplate the scent of a Doctor.  Charles and Paul have custody of Ibbott, this week and he seemingly “degenerates” into Doctor McFall.  Behold the NSFW of Brian telling everyone how “it pulses, and throbs, and kinda looks like it has a mind of its own.”  He’ll probably be in a time out, next week, but we’re glad he’s back on the mic. Your hosts lament the impending losses of Steven Moffat and Peter Capaldi.  They discuss their favorite Doctors while seemingly forgetting about Tom Baker. Marvel drops a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma that leaves everyone wondering, WHO will be “DEAD NO MORE.” No longer content with his Vegas act, the blue man ditches his group, zooms into Central City, and leaves everyone guessing at his true identity.  The hosts, themselves, are perplexed and in a crisis as infinite possibilities flash about.
