This episode we are covering the 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park! Of course we talk about our favourite dinosaurs, but we also discuss the movie's multi-genre approach to the blockbuster, the casting choices, the ethics of genetic manipulation, bare-chested Jeff Goldblum, and more! I Love This You Should Too is hosted by Samantha & Indy Randhawa Jurassic Park is a 1993 American science fiction action film directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Gerald R. Molen, and starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Richard Attenborough. It is the first installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, and the first film in the original Jurassic Park trilogy, and is based on Michael Crichton's 1990 novel of the same name, with a screenplay by Crichton and David Koepp. The film is set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, off Central America's Pacific Coast near Costa Rica, where a wealthy businessman John Hammond (Attenborough), and a team of genetic scientists have created a wildlife park of de-extinct dinosaurs. When industrial sabotage leads to a catastrophic shutdown of the park's power facilities and security precautions, a small group of visitors, including Hammond's grandchildren, struggle to survive and escape the now perilous island.

Hello everyone, welcome back to another movie review and today, we'll be discussing... *sighs* Meg 2: The Trench (AKA DEFINITELY everyone's most anticipated movie of the summer!). I was not a fan of the first The Meg so I wasn't exactly chomping at the bits (*wink*) to go see this sequel. Admittedly though, the trailers for this made it look way more self-aware and bonkers fun than the previous one which was just taking itself weirdly seriously for a movie with such bad dialogue. However, the lack of press screenings and low initial reviews definitely did not amp my excitement. I've now seen the film and it's time to review it, and I will answer whether or not this one is "better" than the first one. Enjoy! Meg 2: The Trench: Directed by: Ben Wheatley Screenplay by: Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber and Dean Georgaris Screen Story by: Dean Georgaris and Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber Based on the Novel "The Trench" by Steve Alten Produced by: Belle Avery, Lorenzo di Bonaventura Executive Producers: Cate Adams, Randy Greenberg, Erik Howsam, Ruigang Li, Gerald R. It's the beginning of a new month of recaps as we're here to talk about the Jurassic Park franchise. As our favourite movie we've ever covered on The Oz Network, why is Ben ready to quit the podcast now that Jurassic Park has been done? How frustrated was Colin in the summer of 1993 when his siblings made him watch Coneheads instead of Jurassic Park? How much credit does Michael Crichton deserve for teaching Ben to read? Which scene in this movie will Colin forever picture a McDonalds commercial during? How does Jamie manage to almost ruin our childhood without even being on this episode? How much do we all love Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Richard Attenborough, Joseph Mazzello, Ariana Richards, Samuel L Jackson, Wayne Knight, Martin Ferrero, and Bob Peck? And why did we not mention Gerald R. Molen as Dr. Harding, the worst scientist in franchise history?
