Jamie Craggs and his team at the Horniman Museum & Gardens first successfully spawned and raised Acropora corals in an aquarium environment in 2013. Now this same team has succeeded in spawning the first generation of corals they raised in aquariums. The focus of this successive spawning study producing the world's first F2 generation of aquarium corals was none other than the illustrious Acropora millepora, a widespread, fast growing and very colorful coral. Also, as a really interesting side note, some familiar equipment was used to recreate the environmental marker that induce coral spawning. In particular, Radion LEDs were used. Together with the Horniman coral spawning team Ecotech has been refining some features of their light fixtures specifically for the purpose of promoting coral spawning. https://bit.ly/RNNnewsJeremy114 Peter- I've enjoyed this hobby for decades, and Dinoflagellates are the first pest that had me considering a break from reef-keeping. Both of my reef aquariums would get dinoflagellate outbreaks whenever I would make small changes. Corals struggled to grow and thrive while covered in the brown snot. I actually converted my smaller reef aquarium into a freshwater planted system, because it was in a more prominent area of the house, I couldn't stand looking at it. On the larger tank, I tried all the recommended solutions: UV, copepods, raising nutrients, peroxide, You name it. Then I stumbled on a forum post and youtube video by a reef2reef user, hankacrank. En el baile se reencuentran con el Duque de Sandringham. Claire queda impactada al enterarse de que Jack Randall sigue vivo, y teme la reacción de Jamie.

OUTLANDER (final T1) Episodio 15 "Prisión de Wentworth" Justo cuando van a ahorcar a Jamie en la Prisión de Wentworth, aparece Jack Randall y aplaza su ejecución. Mientras tanto, Claire se infiltra en la cárcel para intentar salvar a su marido. Randall la sorprende intentando quitar los grilletes a Jamie, y él se compromete a someterse a Randall a cambio de dejar marchar a Claire. Antes de marchar, Claire maldice a Randall con la fecha de su muerte. Cuando todo parece perdido, a Murtagh se le ocurre un plan para rescatar a Jamie con ayuda de los Highlanders de Dougal. Episodio 16 "La redención del alma de un hombre" El plan de Murtagh para rescatar a Jamie ha dado resultado pero el chico se encuentra en muy mal estado tras la tortura a la que ha sido sometido por Jack Randall, el Negro. Lo trasladan a la Abadía Sainte Anne de Beaupré, donde Claire intenta sanar sus heridas, tanto físicas como psicológicas. Jamie está destrozado tras la violación y la tortura psicológica, hasta el punto de querer suicidarse. Claire finalmente rescata su alma, adentrándose en la oscuridad donde Jamie está inmerso. Deben partir a Francia, donde intentarán que la Batalla de Culloden no ocurra. Antes de partir, Claire le revela a Jamie que está embarazada.

OUTLANDER Episodio 5 "La recaudación" Claire acompaña a Dougal y a sus hombres por las tierras de los MacKenzie para recaudar las rentas de los arrendatarios. Durante el viaje, descubre que Dougal está, además, recaudando fondos para la causa jacobita. Para ello, además de un discurso cuidadosamente elaborado, utiliza las cicatrices de Jamie. Ella intentará advertirles del fracaso de su causa en la que morirán muchos Highlanders. Episodio 6 "El comandante de la guarnición" Claire piensa que al encontrar a los casacas rojas, su camino de regreso a Inverness está asegurado; hasta que Black Jack Randall aparece en la posada donde se encuentra Claire con los altos mandos del ejército inglés. Randall no va a parar hasta que descubra lo que Claire esconde. Claire escucha el relato que Jack Randall le cuenta sobre las cicatrices de Jamie, resultado del ensañamiento que tuvo con él en el Fuerte William donde recibió doscientos azotes de manos del sádico Randall.

The story begins with a woman as she walks alone on her way to attend a funeral.  The man who died had been important to her, but for her own reasons she had not seen him in many years.  At the grave the eulogy for the man, Jack Randall, had begun.  The pastor quickly fell into his recollections of Jack's life well lived and as he did so Jack's daughter Jennifer just as quickly zoned out.  She is angry and grieving, but not necessarily over his passing.  Her mind drifts as she focuses on a formative event in her childhood.  Her father had not been there to share in one of her greatest triumphs and the experience had left a scar she relieved in vivid detail.
