To Buy Wolfie a Coffee Click Here: https://buymeacoffee.com/forestfantv Nottingham Forest in the Race for Liam Delap! Wolfie is here on Forest Fan TV with a sizzling transfer update as rumours swirl that Nottingham Forest have joined the chase for Ipswich Town's star striker Liam Delap this summer! With Ipswich's relegation confirmed, Delap's reported £30m release clause has sparked a frenzy, with heavyweights like Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea also circling the 22-year-old England U21 international. Wolfie breaks down Delap's impressive season—12 goals and 2 assists in 34 Premier League games—and why Forest are keen to bring the former Manchester City academy star to the City Ground. Could Delap be the perfect fit for Nuno's high-pressing system? Wolfie dives into the striker's physicality, goal-scoring prowess, and versatility, which have earned praise from the likes of Ipswich goalkeeper Alex Palmer, who called him a “proper striker” with “raw strength.” With Forest pushing for Champions League qualification, a move for Delap could signal their ambition, but they'll face stiff competition from top clubs. Wolfie also explores whether Forest's potential European football could sway Delap, who reportedly prioritizes a club with European prospects, and how this signing could complement or replace Chris Wood up top. Everton threw away a two goal lead against an already relegated Ipswich Town side to be held to a frustrating 2-2 draw in Goodison Park's penultimate fixture. With a series of spectacular displays in the stands courtesy of fan group the 1878s, the two sides took to the pitch with a ticker tape welcome and the party atmosphere looked like continuing for the hosts. Beto headed David Moyes' side ahead on 26 minutes and nine minutes later, Dwight McNeil doubled their lead with a strike that left visiting keeper Alex Palmer rooted to the spot. However, an incredible, swerving drive from Julio Enciso four minutes before the interval handed the Suffolk side a lifeline and they shocked the Blues with a headed back post equaliser from substitute George Hirst 11 minutes from the end to earn a share of the spoils. It may not have been a particularly busy transfer window for goalkeepers in the Premier League, but there was still one big move for one English stopper. Alex Palmer earned a shot at the top flight following his move from West Brom to Ipswich. He started Tier 1 life in fine fashion with a Man of the Match performance on his debut at Aston Villa. An incredible four klaxons were sounded overall at the weekend. Ederson (a record-breaking sixth in total) was joined by Bart Verbruggen, Mark Howard and Joe Day, while James Trafford racked up an 11th successive clean sheet in nets for Burnley. An astonishing achievement unlikely to be eclipsed any time soon. Elsewhere in the EFL, Save of the Weekend contenders came from Jamal Blackman, Corey Addai and Gabe Breeze. A truly fine weekend for goalkeeping.

Send us a textIn today's Talking Town, we break down all the latest action surrounding Ipswich Town. Yesterday, ITFC battled to a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa, despite being reduced to 10 men just before halftime with defender Axel Tuanzebe picking up a second yellow card. However, that didn't stop the 10 men Ipswich who battled bravely, and in fact took the lead through star striker Liam Delap. Villa star Ollie Watkins however, grabbed an equaliser for the home side following an excellent Marcus Rashford free kick that hit the post and rebounded out. Town left Villa Park with a point thanks to a world-class reaction save from Alex Palmer in the closing stages.Join Talking Town as they react to the goals, the moments, and more, all while inviting a live audience to get involved in the conversation by hitting the link button and appearing on the show or by putting their comments in the live chatSupport the showPlease consider becoming a Talking Town 5th stander today by heading to our kofi site and pledging a monthly supportFrom as little as £4.99 a month which is a staggering £1.24 approx week! I am really excited to share this conversation with Alex Palmer. And even though we have the same last name and an almost identical accent - we are not related. In this episode, Alex and I talk about what it is like to experience a difficult pregnancy, fertility treatments, miscarriages, IVF and many of the other challenges that can come with trying to get pregnant - from the male perspective. As listeners of this show will likely know, this subject is very personal to me and one that I feel is very important for men to talk about. Alex and I talk about how lonely and one-sided the process can feel for men and why we feel it is so important for men to talk to other men about what they're going through. Alex and I recorded this conversation this summer, so you will hear him talking about being pregnant during this conversation. I am happy to report that in early November Alex and his wife Gretchen's baby boy joined them and they are all doing well and are properly sleep-deprived! Alex is the founder and host of The Fellowman Podcast (formerly the Blackdog Cast) and does great work over there so be sure to check it out. My goal with this show is to have real conversations about the life we experience as dads. A big thanks to Alex for getting vulnerable and sharing his story. In this 2019 episode, journalist Alex Palmer tells the story of his great-granduncle, colorful conman John Duval Gluck, who created the Santa Claus Association. Before Gluck started his charity, letters from New York City children to Santa were destroyed, unopened, by the U.S. Post Office. Gluck saw an opportunity and created the Santa Claus Association in 1913. The organization claimed to use the donations it collected to answer children's letters to Santa and deliver them Christmas gifts. For a time, the charity did just that. For 15 years money and gifts flowed to the association, and Gluck became a Jazz Age celebrity. But efforts to crack down on corruption in New York ultimately resulted in the uncovering of irregularities that would lead to the charity's downfall.

LTCOL Alex Palmer discusses Army AI, Robotic and Autonomous technology, Robotics, Power and Energy and Quantum Technologies
Investigative reporter Alex Palmer tracks down the elusive artist, interviews them, and wonders: what do you do when you know the answer to art’s greatest mystery?
In this 2019 episode, curious about the barrage of robocalls he himself receives, journalist Alex Palmer decides to look into how robocalls work and why they've become so popular. Alex discovers the case of a set of illegal robocalls that temporarily stalled a Virginia-based paging provider, disrupting the ability of hospitals to get in touch with emergency services personnel. As a result, local doctors, nurses, EMTs and firefighters were at risk of missing critical pages. Due to the resulting public safety hazard, the Federal Communications Commission made tracking down the source of these robocalls a top priority. Meanwhile, travel-review website TripAdvisor is being inundated with complaints from customers that it is soliciting them through robocalls to use its travel rewards program. But TripAdvisor isn't making the calls and doesn't have a rewards program. With its reputation at stake, TripAdvisor puts its top fraud experts on the case. The FCC and the travel site will eventually learn that they are on the hunt for the same man, Adrian Abramovich.

In 1913, New York publicist John Duval Gluck founded an association to answer Santa's mail. For 15 years its volunteers fulfilled children's Christmas wishes, until Gluck's motivation began to shift. In this week's episode of the Futility Closet podcast we'll describe the rise and fall of "Santa's Secretary" in New York City. We'll also survey some splitting trains and puzzle over a difference between twins. Intro: Edward Lear once had to prove his own existence. In the present day, history student Alex Palmer is thrilled when his girlfriend, Claire Ryan, buys an apartment in Belle Vue. But as Alex begins to discover the dark truth about the asylum’s past, he, Claire, and their friend Marianne find themselves on a nightmarish journey. We take a look at the research that went into this story and Cheryl's fascination with these kinds of stories. She talks about the challenges of doing your own marketing and the great time she's had working with Crystal Lake Publishing. The book will be released on August 25 with a print, e-book, and audiobook version.

I sat down w brothers Alex and Palmer Shah, who used to play together in the band Ugly Brothers. They are now spearheading their own projects - Alex's Vanity Plates and Palmer's Yum Yum Cult. Vanity Plates' debut record "You Want to Move" came out in 2018 and Yum Yum Cult's debut single "Up in the Tenement" came out last January. We drank beer and discussed eating breakfast for dinner, the Shah brothers' beginnings as musicians, hitting a "wall", the rise and fall of Ugly Brothers, and what their respective bands are working on now. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ben-slowey/support
The average American is on the receiving end of more than 150 robocalls a year. Some robocalls, which are automated telephone calls placed by a computerized auto dialer, have legitimate purposes. Unfortunately, many of these calls are used to pester or scam consumers. In June 2019 alone Americans received 4.35 billion robocalls, with scams and telemarketing making up over 50 percent. Curious about the barrage of robocalls he himself receives, journalist Alex Palmer decides to look into how robocalls work and why they've become so popular. He finds that advances in technology and the low cost of placing robocalls—as little as 4 cents per dial—have made this nuisance a popular marketing tool for scammers. After digging deeper into the trend, Alex discovers the case of a set of illegal robocalls that temporarily stalled a Virginia-based paging provider, disrupting the ability of hospitals to get in touch with emergency services personnel.

In 1913 a PR man named John Gluck successfully petitions the US Post Office for control of New York City's Santa Claus letters. From that point forward, he not only builds the Santa Claus Association into a major holiday organization, but also finds ways to steal large amounts of money in the process. Alex Palmer, author of "The Santa Claus Man: The Rise and Fall of a Jazz Age Con Man and the Invention of Christmas In New York", talks about one of the great Christmas cons in American history. While many Christmas traditions have ancient roots, Christmas culture as we know it today is a modern creation and most of that genesis happened in New York City a century ago. My guest today on the show wrote a book that explores the development of Christmas in New York City by looking at a 1920s con man who used the story of Santa Claus to swindle hundreds of thousands of dollars from generous New Yorkers. His name is Alex Palmer and his book is "The Santa Claus Man: The Rise and Fall of a Jazz Age Con Man and the Invention of Christmas in New York." Today on the podcast Alex and I discuss what Christmas was like before the 19th century and the famous New Yorkers who helped turned Christmas into what it is today. Against that backdrop we discuss the life and times of John Gluck, a PR man who started an organization that answered letters written to Santa Claus but in the process lined his pockets with hundreds of thousands of dollars. It’s also a story that involves a bitter rivalry between the Boy Scouts of America and another scouting organization that consisted of rifle-toting 12 year olds. You don’t want to miss this holiday edition of the Art of Manliness podcast. It’s going to give you lots of fodder to talk about at Christmas dinner.

But before we meet our featured guest, we have a little something we call the Fun Facts Fuel. Jentzen: Hey everyone, this is Jentzen and I have some Fun Fuel to spark this episode. The Mile High Workshop inspired me to look into the history of sewing manufacturing. I found a story of the emergence on sewing machines in Smithsonian magazine, July 14th, 2015 issue. The article is by Alex Palmer and he gives us an inside look at the battle of patents over the sewing machine. This battle became known as the Sewing Machine War of the mid 1800s. The Singer sewing machine, as we know today, was designed by many different inventors. It was actually Elias Howe who created the original sewing machine concept in 1846. Isaac Merritt Singer came along and made a few changes and the war began. Singer patented his own version in 1951, by then, a bunch of other inventors wanted to join the sewing machine patented war, all laying claim to part of the process. Eventually, a lawyer proposed a unprecedented idea. He proposed that everyone merge their ideas and patents and one license fee mile that they would all share. The very first patented pool was created, ending the sewing machine war of the mid-eighteen hundred. This is Jentzen and I will be talking to you next time. Romy: We appreciate you. All right, lets listen to my interview with Andy and Jeremy of the Mile High Workshop. Romy: First guys, welcome to the Bonfires of Social Enterprise. Jeremy: Yeah, we are primarily a contract manufacturers, right now small businesses in Denver who have a product and a brand and...
