Then, TD makes his case for Husband of the Year after waiting four hours in line to score a signed whiskey bottle for his wife Sarah from Outlander star Sam Heughan… only to get ghosted when the actor bailed before TD reached the front. Plus, the crew reveals their biggest concert regrets, with listeners chiming in with the shows they missed out on or wished they could forget. Laughs, heartbreak, and a little bit of bitterness—this episode has it all!

This week's movie feature is Steven Soderbergh's Presence, starring Lucy Liu. We have the return of Severance on Applet TV+. There's also a new action/suspense show for Math nerds (and everyone else) on Apple called Prime Target. (It has "prime" in the title because it deals with prime numbers). There's also another new show on Starz (that has aired in Europe?) called The Couple Next Door (I'm pretty sure I messed up the title at the beginning, sorry). That show stars Sam Heughan. If that wasn't enough, there's also more Harley Quinn (featuring animated Poison Ivy's origin) plus the latest comic books and more. 00:00:00 - 00:18:42 Intro & News 00:18:42 - 00:49:03 Comics 00:49:03 - 01:10:25 The Couple Next Door E101 01:10:25 - 01:29:17 Harley Quinn E502 01:29:17 - 02:07:11 Severence E201 02:07:11 - 02:29:21 Prime Target E101 02:29:21 - 02:52:13 Presence 02:52:13 - 02:55:30 Outro You can support the show at Patreon.com/GManFromHeck (and get access to the weekly bonus podcast) or at ko-fi.com/GManFromHeck.

Outlander star Sam Heughan and his co-star, Jessica De Gouw, from The Couple Next Door join Reshma Gopaldas on Son of a Binge to talk all about their new show, plus Outlander. The season 7 finale of Outlander, 'A Hundred Thousand Angels,' co-starring Caitríona Balfe, aired on Starz Friday, January 17 and left fans of the show on a huge cliffhanger. Heughan and De Gouw talk all about what it was like filming with Eleanor Tomlinson and Alfred Enoch, who play the couple that moves in next door to their characters, Danny and Becka. Heughan and De Gouw reveal what it was like shooting together and how the cast basically fell in love with each other. Heughan also talks about the evolution of love scenes from when he first started on Outlander a decade ago where he and Caitríona Balfe had to navigate sex scenes without an intimacy coordinator. Thanks to the Outlander intimacy coordinator, Vanessa Coffey, his experience on The Couple Next Door was quite different.View the video version here: Sam Heughan & Jessica De Gouw Video InterviewSon of a Binge production credits:Hosted by: Reshma Gopaldas (TW: @reshingbull, IG @reshmago)Producer: Emily Collins (IG @emilem124)Artwork by: Laura Valencia (IG @iamlauravalencia)Music by: Kevin Calaba (IG @airlandsmusic)Send us a text, let us know what shows and guests you want us to cover.

Mary & Blake discuss everything YOU had say about to Outlander episode 7.15 - Written In My Own Hearts Blood. In this episode, we discuss the powerful montage of past Outlander scenes, which left many listeners' jaws on the floor. Callers weigh in on specific moments, like the title card featuring Frank and Brianna looking at the painting with Jamie and Claire, Roger being labeled an "idiot" by one Scottish-accented caller, and Claire's decision-making. This is A CAN'T MISS episode as epic tangents emerge, such as discussions of Catholic church experiences and the many national cat holidays, and wild MUFASA ride at the end of the show. Also in this episode: We complain about having technical issues during the recording and had to restart the episode. They played and discussed the song "Bye Bye" from the Mufasa album, which their young lad is fond of. Listeners provided feedback on the latest Outlander episode, with opinions ranging from very positive to quite critical. Several listeners commented on the pacing and storytelling of the season, feeling it has been a bit rushed or disjointed at times. The acting, particularly from Sam Heughan and Catriona Balfe, was widely praised in the episode. Gloria from Salem's cat steals the show. There was discussion around Jamie's reaction to Claire being shot and his willingness to abandon the war effort to be with her. Listeners debated whether certain character decisions, like Ian's actions, felt true to their established personalities. The title card featuring Frank and Brianna looking at the painting was a highlight for many. We discuss holiday greetings and when it's appropriate to stop saying "Happy New Year." We end the episode with and ALL TIME sing along to more songs from the Mufasa soundtrack. Hi, y'all - Allison, Amelia, and Julie got cozy together to talk about Starz's Outlander season 7 episode 15, "Written In My Own Heart's Blood." We enjoyed this one a great deal! All hail Sam Heughan getting it done in-TENTS. But we gotta say...the stars, Starz? THE PAINTING?? Come on. We'll be back in two weeks for the season finale! Lots of love - Allison, Amelia, and Julie Photo courtesy of Starz
Mary & Blake recap and give reaction to Outlander episode 7.15 - Written In My Own Hearts Blood. In this episode, we discuss Jamie's dramatic actions to protect Claire after she is accidentally shot, the resolution of the storylines involving William, Lord John, and Ian, as well as the continued mystery surrounding Mandy, the "creepy weird kid". We also analyze the emotional scenes between Jamie and Claire, praising the strong performances and cinematography. Additionally, we touch on the appearance of Frank's book, speculating on its significance, and the overall momentum building towards the season finale. Also in this episode: There was a lot of discussion about the character Mandy, the "creepy, weird kid", and how her behavior contrasted with the main characters. The montage at the beginning of the episode, featuring scenes from past seasons, was praised as a great way to set the tone and revisit key moments. The rescue scene for William involving Lord John and Ian was considered a bit basic, with suggestions it could have been more tense and dramatic. The relationship and interactions between Buck, Roger, and their "family" were highlighted as strong moments in the episode. The final scene with Jamie praying over the injured Claire was praised for the lack of music, creating a raw and authentic feeling. There was discussion about the potential fate of the character Jane, with the hosts speculating she may not survive the season. We commented on the strong performances, particularly from Sam Heughan as Jamie, and the effective use of lighting and cinematography in key scenes. There was anticipation about the momentum and plot threads heading into the season finale, including Claire's surgery, Jamie's resignation, and the rescue of Jane. The Wicker Man is widely regarded as one of the best British horror films of all time. The strange tale of Sergeant Neil Howie's doomed trip to Summerisle has cemented itself in popular culture since the film's 1973 release, and with it, immortalised several of the National Trust for Scotland's places on screen. Joining Jackie Bird to dissect this cult classic's enduring popularity are film critic Siobhan Synnot and actor Lesley Mackie, who appeared in the original cast as Daisy. Together, they explore the production and legacy of The Wicker Man. To enjoy more episodes of Love Scotland, please follow or subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
