Musselman clearly trying to talk NBA into existence, but NBA is listening. Big Ten MBB looks like a Michigan-Michigan State race with Purdue and Illinois on the 2nd tier, though Illinois can beat anybody—they're weird because they rely on the three. Brian: MSU is a better shooting team than they look: Akins is at least, and they hit free throws. Craig: MSU is really good, unbeatable when Izzo can browbeat the refs into letting them be handsy. Although a small school, Hillsdale is an accomplished basketball program which has played in the D2 NCAA tournament 3 years in a row and the Elite 8 two years ago. Of interest to Spartan fans is not only how the new players incorporate with the veterans, but what is the style of play we can expect for the season? An open scrimmage this weekend gave the impression that MSU is going to play a lot faster and press full court. Also of note, MSU Sophomore center Jaxon Kohler developed a stress reaction in his foot and had surgery this week. He is expected to miss a few months and the team is hoping to get him back before Christmas. Are you looking for Spartan gear?
