Yes… that REALLY just happened! And if there is one thing we know, it's that the great Matt Serra knows a thing or two about dethroning a champion in a MAJOR upset! On today's episode of UFC Unfiltered, Jim Norton and Matt Serra are joined by MMA coaching mastermind Sayif Saud of Fortis MMA — who helps the guys unpack just how newly-crowned UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland was able to shock the world by dethroning Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. With Strickland's win opening up a multitude of possibilities for the UFC's red-hot middleweight division, the guys mull over the idea of an immediate rematch while discussing whether Adesanya's high fight activity rate plays a factor in what the former champion will do next. Later on, Matt takes us from the top of the card on down with his favorite takeaways from the other fights that happened on this exciting pay-per-view card in Sydney. The guys wrap up the show by circling back to the stakes of Strickland's win and where it stacks up with the greatest championship upsets in UFC history.

The Fed has put the American economy under extreme pressure to lower inflation. Mortgage rates are now at twenty-year highs, job openings are starting to fall, “cautious consumers” return, and a 2024 recession is still in the cards. Everything the Fed wanted is finally happening…but it's not happening fast enough. Can anything solve the inflation we're up against? Few know the Fed as well as Nick Timiraos, economics correspondent for The Wall Street Journal. Nick has been tracking the Fed's moves for years and has been our go-to correspondent on what Fed chair Jerome Powell could be announcing next. With inflation finally taking a hit and the economy slowing down, progress is finally being made. But this doesn't mean that we're out of the woods yet. The Fed knows the job isn't finished yet and is willing to push the American economy to extremes to get there. In this episode, we talk to Nick about the Fed's next moves, mortgage rate predictions, how the housing market could reignite, recession forecasts, and the “immaculate disinflation” that could save our economy.  In This Episode We Cover: Why the Fed is keeping mortgage rates high even as we see lower inflation  Consumer spending and why Americans are being more “cautious” with their money  Credit tightening and risks for businesses if interest rates don't decline  Why job openings are falling and what this means for unemployment 2024 recession risks and what would have to happen for a “soft landing” to actualize  And So Much More! Does this mean the divisions are actually in fact staying in place and will the Big Ten keep adding. What teams would we like to see added to the conference and just how much is too much? We also discuss what we like and dislike about the additions and if we think its realistic that these moves help the Badgers in recruiting. We discuss the basketball aspect of this move as well, and how it helps the Big Ten. Which of these teams would make the cut if the Big Ten was actually just 10 teams? Ross talks about who is at fault for the implosion of the PAC 12 and he also pins it on west coast residents having a smaller interest in football. BO and Ross break down how the Longhorn Network helped ESPN keep Texas and helped navigate the eventual move to the SEC. Bo asks Ross if he believes the SEC will throw down for North Carolina and Ross talks about the deals that are in place in order for the ACC to make sure they don't go anywhere. Ross talks about how states that don't have SEC schools are more attractive in terms of addition than schools like FSU and Clemson. Ross mentions that the battle for new schools would mainly be between ESPN and Fox rather than the SEC and the Big 10. The guys break down North Carolina and how the athletics, as well as the campus, fit the SEC but the academics fit the Big 10. Bo asks Ross if he believes the Big 10 jumped the gun when adding teams and Ross believes that the recent news has shown who runs the show in this era. Ross thinks that the fall of the PAC 12 is a bad sign for collegiate sports. Bo asks Ross on the future for Notre Dame and Ross says that the Fighting Irish is close to a deal with NBC. Ross thinks that Notre Dame will not make a move for a while and tells a story that illustrates the pride the school has in staying independent. Bo asks Ross about Miami and he said he could see Miami making a move to the Big 10 that would benefit the school. Bo and Ross look at Stanford and Cal and talk about how the schools have offered to reduce the money they make and they still weren't let into the Big 10. Learn more about your ad choices. The latest Flat Chat podcast from GP Racing magazine weighs up Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc's next move and delves into the chaos at the Alpine F1 team.   The squad formerly known as Toleman, Benetton, Renault, Lotus, Renault again and now Alpine has had many names above the door over the past 40 years. And, recently, plenty of leaders who have been shown the (revolving) door after failing to meet the aspirations of those who ultimately pay the bills.  Ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix team principal Otmar Szafnauer and sporting director Alan Permane became the latest casualties. At the same time it was revealed senior engineer Pat Fry was to become chief technical officer at Williams, amid strong suggestions that a toxic atmosphere created by former CEO Laurent Rossi was a reason for Fry choosing to leave.  GP Racing columnists Mark Gallagher and Matt Kew join editor Stuart Codling to analyse the implications of these latest moves. As Alpine embarks on an ambitious expansion of its road car line-up and accompanying sales, is this a sign Renault Group boss Luca de Meo wants the team to be competitive earlier than its previous 100-race target?  And have the latest departures had as big an impact on staff morale at Enstone as claimed?  The cover story of this month's GP Racing focuses on Charles Leclerc's next moves. While it's unlikely he would move to either Red Bull or Mercedes in the short term, it's clear the relationship with Ferrari is strained.  The Scuderia and its loyal tifosi like to draw parallels between Leclerc and Gilles Villeneuve. Both brave, both occasionally prone to messy mistakes while pushing too hard – and might Leclerc, like Villeneuve, be contemplating a future elsewhere?  This month's GP Racing also celebrates Williams hitting its 800th grand prix with a package including an exclusive interview with team principal James Vowles. The former Mercedes engineer and chief strategist opens up about his fight to get into Formula 1 in the first place, early learnings at a struggling BAR-Honda, his role in changing the face of race strategy, and why the Williams team's new owners aren't looking to cash out any time soon.  Learn more about your ad choices. What's important is that people are in the know.” “Sometimes, feedback needs to be communicated through several different channels. Not every piece of feedback has to be attributed to the person. It can be generalized feedback.”   RESOURCES: Have career and leadership development questions? It's the calm before the storm as we await the court's decision on whether or not the FTC's injunction will be granted thus killing the Activision deal. With that on the horizon, we look at Gamescom where Xbox is currently not tempering expectations about their presence on the show floor. Naturally, the Dukes dive deep into the litany of titles that could appear. Considering the show's more European centric audience, its it time for neighboring UK studios like Ninja Theory and PlayGround Games to come out of hiding once more? Is it time for Hellblade II's combat to finally be shown off? What of other dated games coming to Xbox that may crawl its way into a show of some kind? The options are plentiful and leave us with much to consider. Once again, SEGA and Xbox's relationship continues to grow thus adding more credibility to Game Pass. Football Manager, one of SEGA's most lucrative games, continues to shine in the service as the Japanese publisher had much praise for Xbox to go around. Plus, are the Dukes alongside other Xbox creators bought and paid for? Is such interaction with big executives a major contamination to the integrity of ours and others' products?
