Hosts: Greg Skordas and Adam Gardiner Worldwide markets continue to flounder after tariffs announcement The stock market continues to fall today -- both here in the U.S. and around the world -- as a result of President Trump's tariffs announcement from last week. Unilateral 10% tariffs are already in place and the country-specific tariffs will go into effect on Wednesday. And the President's not backing down... even threatening higher tariffs on China today. We hear the President talk a bit about the tariffs and their effects on our allies in Israel. Senior Economist at Zions Bank Robert Spendlove also joins the conversation to discuss the effects of tariffs on retirement funds. Emails mistakenly sent to Ukrainian refugees telling them to leave the U.S. Imagine this: you've left your war-torn country and are in the U.S. legally under a humanitarian program. Then out of the blue, you get an email from the federal government telling you that you have 7 days to leave the country or the "federal government will find you." That's what happened to an unknown number of Ukrainian refugees last week. And the email sent out? Yeah, that wasn't supposed to be sent out. The Inside Sources hosts discuss the latest on this situation. Latest development on Maryland man inadvertently deported to El Salvadorian prison U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has agreed to pause the midnight deadline for the Trump administration to retrieve a mistakenly deported man. The Maryland man -- originally from El Salvador but here legally -- was deported to an El Salvadorian prison due to an administrative error. The administration admitted the mistake but said there was nothing they could do. A federal judge didn't like that answer and ordered the man be returned by tonight. But now that deadline’s been paused. KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas breaks down the White House’s argument. Nationwide protests against Trump administration While thousands of folks descended on downtown Salt Lake City for General Conference, another few thousand marched on Utah's Capitol Hill to protest the Trump administration and Elon Musk. It was part of a nationwide protest called "Hands Off." So, what were the biggest issues protestors had with the administration? Adam Gardiner and Greg Skordas talk through some of the frustrations. This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit www.public.newsFrance is one of the world's oldest democracies, dating back to the French Revolution of 1789. It was reaffirmed as the Fifth Republic in 1958 under President Charles de Gaulle. Since then, France has held regular, competitive elections for both the presidency and the National Assembly. The world has regarded France as a liberal democratic nation with free speech, an independent judiciary, and regular elections. That reputation is now at grave risk. A French court's decision today to prevent presidential front-runner Marine Le Pen from competing in the next presidential elections is an extraordinary attack on democracy, says journalist Pascal Clérotte, with whom I recorded a podcast this morning.French ruling elites are “just desperate,” he said. “They're scared because they know it's over for them, so they're trying to cling to power for as long as they can.” President Emmanuel Macron currently has a 31% approval rating. The ruling comes two weeks after the Romanian government prevented the presidential front-runner from competing in elections, and at a moment when the Brazilian courts appear poised to incarcerate former president Jair Bolsonaro, who is also a presidential candidate. And, over the last four years, Democrats attempted to incarcerate and otherwise prevent President Donald Trump from running for reelection.

Hosts: Taylor Morgan and Adam Gardiner Report: Top-secret military plans accidentally texted to journalist Imagine this: you're minding your own business when you get added to a group text with national security leaders. And in that chat, you receive highly classified information about an upcoming military strike. Oh, and we should mention that you're not a national security leader yourself. It’s exactly what happened to the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. The Inside Sources host discuss the security... of national security. Court of Appeals hears from Trump Administration on deportation The Trump Administration continues its fight to have more control over deportations today. A federal judge denied the administration's request to lift a temporary restraining order on deporting alleged gang members under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 this morning. Now, the administration is in court making their case to a three-person appeals court. Taylor and Adam give listeners the latest on the ongoing deportation lawsuits. Pres. Trump says we should give allies less productive weapons Our allies in Europe are questioning their own defenses following remarks from President Trump that he'll give toned-down weapons to those allies. The President saying our allies now might not be our allies in the future, so we shouldn't give them top-notch weapons. Is this sound reasoning or something akin to paranoia? The Inside Sources hosts share their thoughts. Poll: Kamala Harris top choice to lead Democrats in 2028 Although she lost both the electoral college vote and the popular vote last November, and lost the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, it appears Kamala Harris could try another run in 2028. New polling shows that Democrats largely support her and the idea of another Harris campaign. Is this a winning strategy for Democrats? U.S. Postal Service: To privatize or not? Protests erupted over the weekend across the country, with thousands of mail workers protesting privatization of the United States Postal Service. The idea to privatize the agency isn't a new one and isn't exclusive to President Trump. But in the year 2025, do we still need the post office or not? The Inside Sources hosts have a lively discussion about the supposed ‘business’ of the U.S.P.S. How do SLC leaders feel about bills passed during the legislative session? The dynamics between the conservative state government -- including the Utah Legislature -- and the more liberal Salt Lake City were on broad display during the 2025 Legislative General Session. City leaders say several bills passed by the Legislature directly affect the city by taking away control from its residents. Now, Mayor Erin Mendenhall says she’s “deeply concerned.” What bills may have been targeted towards Salt Lake City? Inside Sources digs into it. Sponsored eggs? Ahead of the annual Easter Egg Roll -- for the first time -- the Trump administration has put out calls for official corporate sponsors. It might seem relatively harmless, but is it? Or is it indicative of the impact of big money in politics? The Inside Sources hosts break down the complex relationship between the White House and corporations. Remembering former U.S. Congresswoman Mia Love Following a three-year battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer, former United States Representative Mia Love passed away yesterday. She was only 49. A child of immigrant parents, she made quite the name for herself in politics. In fact, she was the first Black Republican woman to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. Inside Sources hosts Adam Gardiner and Taylor Morgan share some of their favorite memories of Love and how she inspired them.
Tucker Carlson has been in the spotlight recently due to several significant developments and statements. One of the most notable is his prediction about the future of the Republican Party, particularly regarding the 2028 presidential election. In a conversation on the 'VINCE podcast' with host Vince Coglianese, Carlson expressed his belief that JD Vance, who is currently serving as vice president, is the only Republican capable of carrying on Donald Trump's legacy. Carlson praised Vance's loyalty to Trump and his profound service, stating that Vance is the only person who can continue and expand Trump's political legacy.Despite Carlson's strong endorsement, Donald Trump himself has been vague about Vance's potential candidacy in 2028. When questioned, Trump mentioned that there are 'a lot of capable people' but did not explicitly endorse Vance. Carlson interpreted this as a strategic move by Trump to protect his second-in-command and avoid focusing on the next election. In addition to his political commentary, Carlson has also been involved in discussions about international diplomacy. He recently interviewed Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, who discussed efforts to build trust with Iran to prevent an armed conflict. Witkoff explained that Trump's recent letter to Iran was intended to promote peace and suggested the establishment of a verification program to address concerns about nuclear material. This interview highlights Carlson's continued influence in shaping public discourse on international relations and U.S. foreign policy.Carlson's media ventures continue to expand, with his recent interview with Witkoff being published on various platforms, including his new Spanish-language channel. This move indicates his efforts to reach a broader audience and maintain his presence in the media landscape. There have been no recent reports of legal or professional developments involving Carlson, but his comments and actions continue to spark reactions and debates. His influence on media and politics remains a subject of discussion, with many analyzing his role in shaping public opinion and political narratives. In summary, Tucker Carlson remains a significant figure in both media and politics, with his recent statements and interviews reflecting his ongoing impact on public discourse. His predictions about the Republican Party's future, his discussions on international diplomacy, and his expanding media ventures all contribute to his continued relevance.Thank you for listening to the Tucker Carlson news tracker podcast. Gæst: Lars Lindstrøm Vært: Henrik Them
Romania erupts as far-right candidate Georgescu is barred from the presidential race, with EU elites tightening their grip—Thierry Breton even threatens to annul Germany's election. Meanwhile, Poland mandates military training for all men, Britain diverts pension savings to defense, and French citizens protest against further military aid to Ukraine. In Canada, Mark Carney replaces Trudeau as Liberal leader, sparking backlash as Jordan Peterson exposes his deep WEF ties, while Trudeau's farewell speech is met with scorn over his crackdown on truckers. Opening Credits: This week on Live Breathe Film with Doug and Murph...Feature Presentation: Spreading the Oscar Love - While we do agree on who we'd vote for in a majority of categories at this year's Academy Awards (step right up for another funny acceptance speech this season, Kieran Culkin), it was always going to be largely due to our mutual passion for Dune: Part Two and The Wild Robot once the nominations were announced. At the same time we do have a near equal amount of disagreement on each of our imaginary ballots even if it's mostly between winners and runner-ups. And as we each chose to abstain votes where we felt appropriate, there was only one pick where complete shenanigans were involved. It would make plenty of anonymous Academy voters proud!Yet somehow the shenanigans doesn't involve our individual or mutual bitterness with Hans Zimmer being deemed ineligible for his brilliant Dune: Part Two score, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross being snubbed for their top-tier musical craftsmanship in multiple categories for Challengers, or Marren Morris being ignored for her beautiful song, “Kiss the Sky”, from The Wild Robot, which both captures the emotions of the film during a pivotal scene while complementing the nominated score. Needless to say, Best Sound, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song turned into a long vent session despite playing fair with our votes.End Credits: Please make sure to Like, Follow, and Subscribe to Live Breathe Film!

On this episode of the podcast, host Amanda Head talks with Ryan Kelley, a former Republican gubernatorial candidate in Michigan to delve into his personal journey and the aftermath of January 6, 2021. Kelley opened up about his arrest and prison sentence tied to his presence at the U.S. Capitol, sharing his perspective on what he calls 'politically motivated' charges. Kelley goes on to shed light about the irregularities he witnessed in Michigan during the 2020 election, including late-night ballot drops, and critiques the mainstream media and Democrat Party's narratives surrounding the events of January 6. Kelley praised President Trump's pardons of January 6 defendants, including himself, and expressed hope for Trump's vision to restore America's foundational values and principles. On the Wednesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Christopher Carter welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo to analyze the team's QB situation. Do Mike Tomlin's comments in his season-ending news conference Tuesday indicate a preference for Justin Fields to start in 2025? Or does the coach still prefer Russell Wilson as he did for much of 2024? And how seriously should we take the chances of an outside candidate, either from the NFL draft or free agency? In segment two, Chris and Ray ponder George Pickens' future with the organization. Does he create too many headaches to bring back? Or does the offense's thin receivers room that includes names like Calvin Austin III, Van Jefferson, Roman Wilson and Mike Williams make him too valuable? The our duo wraps the show by explaining why OC Arthur Smith likely isn't on the chopping block, despite his unit falling short down the stretch of season. And what he can do to get more out of the unit and pieces like Pat Freiermuth and Jaylen Warren moving forward.
