The Lane Kiffin saga has finally come to a conclusion and it was the messiest version possible. After weeks of proposed "deadlines", meetings and delays, a conclusion has finally been reached. Lane Kiffin has officially left Ole Miss to be the head coach for LSU. Part of the hold-up was that Kiffin wanted to remain Ole Miss' head coach through the College Football Playoff. Ole Miss refused that request. Kiffin is now in Baton Rouge and Pete Golding has been promoted to become Ole Miss' new head coach. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey breakdown how the final few days of the saga played out. Valenti offers his two cents on his alma mater's hiring of Pat Fitzgerald as their new football head coach.

Valenti began the third hour with his extended thoughts on MSU's firing of Jonathan Smith and hiring of Pat Fitzgerald as its next football head coach. The guys continued with this topic, mixing in the Lions sparingly as well.

Valenti and Rico kicked off the show by addressing the elephant in the room, which is obviously the Lions' loss to the Packers on Thanksgiving and the subsequent panic from most fans on what could be a lost season. They mixed that topic in with others (including Michigan's loss to OSU, MSU's hiring of Pat Fitzgerald, and Lane Kiffin) throughout the show. The guys also did their "Can We Say That?" segments they do every first show of the week.
