For this episode, Samantha and Lex start off with an update. While we will no longer be producing weekly episodes of Crown Jewels, stay tuned for breaking royal news in the future. For this week's Tea & Crumpets, they start some “polite conversation” about how the royal kids are not allowed to eat with their parents during holidays and official dinners (it's giving kids table at Thanksgiving). While they banish their kids to eat alone, the royal family has welcomed Prince Andrew and Lady Susan Hussey back with open arms. Then, they Make It Reign on the Kardashian/Jenner family after the photo of Doria, Kris, and Kim was released. The duo closes out by guessing how much Princess Charolette is worth before naming the Spotted Dick of the week. Until next time, may God save the Betch. Learn more about your ad choices. The claims in March 2021 left Oprah open-mouthed with shock and plunged the monarchy into crisis as the Windsors faced allegations of racism, but Harry again refused to name the royal allegedly involved. He also backed the Queen's former lady in waiting Lady Susan Hussey who quit an honorary role in the royal household after repeatedly asking a black British domestic violence campaigner where she really came from. “Meghan and I love Susan Hussey…She never meant any harm at all,” he said. Speaking to TalkTV's Mike Graham, Royal biographer Ingrid Seward said that Harry's comments in the Oprah interview damaged the international image of the UK. #talktv #talkradio --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talktv/support

In 2020 for example the UK only received - 37, 550 asylum applications, whereas Germany had - 124,380, Spain - 108,225 and France - 103,370 in the same year! Moreover, most asylum seekers/refugees come nowhere near Europe, the USA, Australia or Japan - but stay in their millions in the closest country to their own - Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Turkey, Lebanon etc? Why do many Brits such as Lady Susan Hussey think being English is a matter colour, albeit that black people have been in Britain for at least 2000 years? These and many other allied questions and the geo-politics surrounding these issues are answered when Firgas Esack poses such questions to the Black Spy, Carlton King. Incendiary claims by Prince Harry of 'a war against Meghan' sparked a furious backlash last night. In a trailer for their new documentary, he alleged the couple had suffered from leaks and planted stories that backed up the Royal Family 'hierarchy'. A charity boss who was repeatedly asked where she 'really' came from by a lady-in-waiting says she has suffered 'horrific abuse' on social media. Ngozi Fulani, the British-born founder of the charity Sistah Space, expressed shock at her treatment by Lady Susan Hussey, 83, following an event at Buckingham Palace last week. The nation's High Court of Opinion, Twitter, has reached its verdict and pronounced its sentence of cancellation. No defence allowed. Goodbye, Lady Susan, and thanks for all the curtseys. The man in charge of investigating police misconduct has suddenly resigned – after a police investigation into an historic allegation, which sources have told Did Peter Kay not get the memo? As of this weekend, the Bolton-born comic genius is back in business, selling out huge arenas across a nation gripped by price hikes, rampant wokery and a culture war. And yet where are the anti-Tory gags? I failed to hear a single rant about Truss or Sunak. There was no mention of food banks, nothing on immigration policy. Brexit? Climate change? Race? Nowt. Transphobia? ..... despite an 11-year absence from the touring circuit, has retained his rightful place in the top tier of our great entertainers. Former England captain Wayne Rooney has claimed that Marcus Rashford's campaigning was 'a bit too much for him' amid the forward's recent turnaround in form. Rashford spent months pushing for the government to take better care of children in Britain, with the 25-year-old campaigning for more free school meals having struggled himself when he was younger. I left London in the early 1970s to get back to the land, setting up an organic farm producing a range of foods from carrots to cheese in a beautiful part of west Wales. In that time, there have been many joyous moments. But my most memorable relate to simple pleasures such as milking our cows or weeding in a field of carrots.

Introduction: Minutes 0 to 7 We'll have episodes out for the next two weeks and will be off December 24th and 31st for the holiday. My dog has been doing great at the dog park. We've both been watching Wednesday and love it. Chandra's mom got covid but she's on the mend. Royals: Minutes 7:00 to 35 Will and Kate got booed at the Celtics game when they were shown on the Jumbotron. A Black reverend mentioned the legacy of colonialism and racism at one of their events, which the British tabloids saw as an attack on Will and Kate.  Before this tour we had so many lead-up stories hyping what a big deal it would be and how it was William's Super Bowl moment. We wonder why they made this comparison, which makes no sense. Chandra thinks it's because Harry went to the Super Bowl. We also heard that the Earthshot Awards would be better than the Ripple of Hope awards, which are honoring the Sussexes. The NY Times quoted a Boston University historian who said that the Waleses need to “maintain a sense of relevance” and “justify their existence.” Meghan did a speech in Indianapolis at a fundraising dinner for the Women's Fund of Central Indiana. It had a media blackout so all we got was a photo and some eyewitness accounts. She also helped serve Thanksgiving lunch for the Downtown Women's Center in LA and donated 500 purses to her British charity, Smart Works. We got a teaser for Harry and Meghan's Netflix docuseries. It looks amazing and we're glad it's just called Harry and Meghan. We got new photos of them in the trailer and some brief statements. It looks like it has the same energy as Harry's Apple series, The Me You Can't See. We remember some of the scary things that have happened to Meghan when she was in the UK. The biggest story this week is about an activist named Ngozi Fulani who was invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace held by Camilla. Fulani founded Sistah Space, which supports African and Caribbean heritage women affected by domestic violence. While at the event, Fulani was accosted by one of Camilla's aides named Lady Susan Hussey, who touched her hair, repeatedly asked her where she was from as if she didn't belong, and wouldn't accept her answer that she was a British national. Hussey resigned after this and Camilla's office issued a statement calling this “unacceptable and deeply regrettable” and claiming they reached out to Fulani, but that was not true. Fulani has said in interviews that we shouldn't vilify Hussey and that she's an elder, but that's not an excuse for racism. She also said the palace is taking the easy way out by letting Hussey resign. Fulani would be happy to hold diversity training for the palace. Hussey is Prince William's godmother and said to have been Queen Elizabeth's favorite lady-in-waiting. She's 83 years old and Charles personally asked her to stay on after the Queen passed. She's also quoted by Tom Bower in his Revenge book saying that the Sussexes would “end in tears.” The royal family knows who she is and gave her a platform. At least two other women were with Fulani when this happened. One was Mandu Reid, Leader of The British Women's Equality Party. She did an interview where she described what happened. Reid said that this shows how the royal family needs to acknowledge institutional racism and commit to changing the culture. I play a segment from her interview where she explained how this corroborates Harry and Meghan's account. On one hand it's funny to see the royals expose themselves yet again, but on the other we feel terribly for Fulani and others who have had to deal with this racism. We're excited for Harry and Meghan's docuseries and Harry's memoir. Comments of the Week: Minutes 35:00 to end My comment of the week is from SideEye on the post about Camilla's staffer being racist. Chandra talks about people questioning where she's from. Chandra's comment of the week is from ElleV on the post about the White House Christmas decorations. Thanks for listening bitches!

While Prince William and Kate wave to the cameras in the US, the front pages of newspapers back in the UK are splashed with an ugly row over racism. Ngozi Fulani, a black British charity boss, was repeatedly asked where she was really from by the Prince of Wales's godmother, Lady Susan Hussey. Fulani likened the conversation with the 83-year-old to an interrogation. Lady Hussey has now resigned over the incident at an event in Buckingham Palace. Prince William's office issued a statement saying "racism has no place in our society". Royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter spoke to Guyon Espiner from New York.

Ngozi Fulani, who founded domestic violence charity Sistah Space, was questioned about her background by Lady Susan Hussey, Prince William's godmother, at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. Ms Fulani was at the reception representing her London-based charity, which supports women of African and Caribbean heritage across the UK who have faced domestic and sexual abuse. The late Queen's lady-in-waiting has since resigned. The palace described the remarks as unacceptable and deeply regrettable, and a spokesperson for Prince William said racism has no place in our society. Lady Hussey was a key figure in the Royal Household for many decades, having started working for the Royal Family in the same year the Queen gave birth to Prince Andrew, eventually becoming her longest-serving lady-in-waiting. Buckingham Palace announced last week that Lady Hussey and the other former ladies-in-waiting would subsequently be known as "ladies of the household" - a role which involves helping to host occasions at the palace.
