Do you follow the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle saga? Have you seen the Netflix series or will you read Harry's book? Do you see this as them selling out their family or is the royal family an abusive organization for generations that needs to stop? KSL Newsradio's Amanda Dickson asked her guests on A Woman's View. Her guests this week include Dr. Tamara Sheffield, Senior Medical Director of Preventive Medicine for Intermountain Healthcare, and Kristin Sokol, professional dating coach. Description: With the magnitude of press surrounding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry opening up publicly, Kelly and Chip decide that it would be impossible to ignore discussions around these stories. However, instead of simply weighing in on their opinions about the happenings, the duo uses their words of the year, dare and purpose, to discuss both sides of what is happening. They each speak to why these stories tie into their words and how the experience is inspiring to live daringly and with purpose, whether you agree with Harry and Meghan or not. We kick off the first podcast episode of 2023 with a discussion of hot topics as of late: the California storms (parade of tornadoes!), the Idaho college student murders (what will happen to the house?), Prince Harry's memoir "Spare" and the Sussex's discontent with their current home (rumor has it they're not happy in their Montecito, CA, mansion and want to move). Then, we crown the first celebrity real estate winner and loser of the year. The winner starred in the first season of "The White Lotus" and the loser played a beloved paper salesman on "The Office." Be sure to subscribe to “House Party” on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts so you have access to new episodes right when they publish. It's 2023 and we're back with lots of updates. Lauren checks in with her ongoing health saga. And Ashley and Lauren catch us up on a trip to Spencers and their revisit to the world of belly button piercings. Naz encourages everyone to stop saving their candles and special perfume for just the right time. Life is short. Light the damn candle. Naz talks about intention-setting and tries to narrow down the word she's going to use for 2023. This year Naz and Ashley are setting goals that are more lowkey while Lauren is aiming for something a little more take charge. Naz tells a great story about overcoming that inner voice that tells you you're just not doing enough. Ashley reflects on the gift-giving season and the way that holidays are just so much more fun when you make it about the kids and stop worrying about trading gift cards back and forth with the adults in your life. Ashley has noticed that a lot of parents aren't telling their kids about Santa because they don't want to lie to their kids, and Lauren's got some choice words about that. Lauren and Ashley pitch their new show Sex on Celexa and Naz discusses Jonah Hill's new documentary Stutz and the Harry & Meghan Netflix documentary. Ashley wants to know: babies in first class? Since we last met Toby made another trip to Iceland, this time to give a talk at the inaugural meeting of a new free speech society. The post trip discussion on Icelandic cuisine, well, that's a different story. The news of the week prompts a question, "Do we need a New Enlightenment to tackle the hijacking of science by woke leftists?" Plus we tackle the Duke of Sussex's extraordinarily misjudged admission that he killed 25 Taliban fighters, whether the arrest of Andrew Tate is an elaborate psy op, and the riot in the Brazilian capital and what that is likely to be blamed on. In Culture Corner, The English, Season 2 of Slow Horses, Oblomov (Ivan Goncharov, 1859) and Hell's March by Taylor Anderson. This week's opening sound is Ben McBean, formerly of the Royal Marines, talking with SkyNews on the Duke of Sussex's relationship with the UK Armed Forces. Learn more about your ad choices. With the release of Prince Harry's book Spare, Kellie and Kimbra discuss the relevance of royalty and having a monarchy in the modern world. Kellie points out that the British press has been much more critical of Meghan than of Princess Kate while Kimbra points out that the Australian press can be even harsher. Kimbra notes that William deserves more acknowledgement for the role he has had to play within his family while Kellie talks about how Meghan and Harry, and others, have stood up to the royals. The ladies comment on Meghan's podcast, Archetypes, and how it might evolve. It's a New Year but same old slander and muckraking for UK tabloids! This time "The Sun" apologized for an article written by Jeremy Clarkson where he said he hated Meghan Markle more than some serial killers. He would like to see her paraded through every street in England, naked, with crowds of people shouting "shame, shame" and throwing excrement at her. He was referencing a Game of Thrones episode (or his secret fantasy, he never specified in the article). What is wrong with Jeremy Clarkson? Better yet, what is wrong with the British Press? They keep throwing vitriol at a woman whose only crime appears to be that she didn't love Britain but did fall in love with a British Prince. The answer is money. The British public eats this stuff up like Americans feast upon Donald Trump news (hey, we can't throw stones at our British cousins!). "If it Bleeds, it Leads" is a famous editorial guideline for determining what story is headline news and Meghan Markle unfortunately is bleeding all the way to the bank for British tabloids.

Y'all asked for it so here it is. Derek and I are going through my DMs and giving you our two cents on the royal scandal.Follow me: @peterbreezeSubscribe on SubstackThe Superficial Spirit is a podcast that explores how pop culture affects our spiritual experiences and seeks to uncover unconventional ways people experience the divine… Every episode explores a different area of spirituality including tarot, crystals, psychics, manifesting, plant medicine and modern new-age trends. In the podcast, we ask questions like is modern spirituality a cult? Is Ayahuasca really that profound? Are psychics and tarot even real? What about fame, money, sex and social media? How do they affect our spirituality? Can the superficial really be profound? Ultimately, we believe in one thing: spirituality is real but the tools we use to define it may not be magical at all.The Superficial Spirit is hosted by Peter Breeze, a former club kid and underground pop star who found success in queer clubs across Canada and America. He believes that his time as a fame-obsessed, hard-partying club-kid was a conduit for his spirituality and is passionate to connect with people who've also had unconventional or scandalous experiences exploring their own spirituality. Peter shamelessly explores the spiritual power of celebrities like Britney Spears, Courtney Love, Paris Hilton and The Real Housewives.Guests include RuPaul's Drag Race Superstars, Reality TV stars, Scientists, witches, psychics, tarot readers, naturopathic doctors and regular people who've been affected by modern Spirituality.Every episode includes a segment with @jessica.daily, Peter's Spiritual correspondent and a former reiki master and intuitive who's become passionate about sharing her own journey becoming disillusioned from the new age community. Jessica shares personal horror stories and hot takes about popular new age topics like tarot, psychics, mediums, ayahuasca retreats, crystals, ufo's and aliens. This is a public episode. Welcome back to another episode of The Viall Files, Going Deeper Edition! Today we are joined by actress Chloe Bale as we recap the final three episodes of the Harry and Meghan Netflix series, finishing Volume Two! After catching up with Chloe about everything she has had going on in her life, we have Michelle Tauber, the senior editor overseeing Royals coverage at People, join the episode via Zoom. We dive into talking about how the tone felt different in this volume, Henry's trauma from the loss of Princess Diana, how the media scene compares to the paparazzi in LA, the theatrical language the royals use, King Charles' thoughts on the situation, and the never complain and never explain mentality embedded in the royal family. We also get into having more empathy after this series, trying to fix family issues in the public eye, growing up being the “spare” of the family, conflicts in emotional intelligence, Meghan and Harry's expectations of releasing a tell-all, and where we think things will go from here. We then bring on our Texting Office Hours caller, who is seeking help in getting dumped by her brother's best friend. After feeling a hard time trusting this man in her interactions with him after the breakup, our caller wonders the best way to move on. “Never complain, never explain!” If you are interested in running a book club in your city, send an email to: DTYEHBBookClub@gmail.com Please make sure to subscribe so you don't miss an episode and as always send in your relationship questions to firstname.lastname@example.org to be a part of our Monday episodes. Harry and Meghan's goal in their new Netflix series was “to speak their truth and defend themselves against how they have been represented in the tabloid press.” By contrast, the royal family told CNN that they will not be commenting on the series but will continue with business as usual. Welcome back to another episode of The Viall Files, Going Deeper Edition! Today we are joined by author, playwright, and entertainment executive, Tara Schuster! We start things off by talking about gratitude, dealing with your family over the holidays, AI-generated art, and if robots will take over the world. We then get into the recap itself, diving into the first volume of episodes, covering episodes one through three of Harry and Meghan! We get into the recap, talking about getting really invested because of this documentary and understanding why England cares so much about the crown. We talk about Harry being sensitive because of his mother, Harry addressing his past mistakes in a genuine way, discerning if some of Meghan's statements are genuine or not, and analyzing Harry and Meghan's first few dates. We get into wanting more dirt, questioning if you should profit off the brand of the Royal Family, and how this documentary compares to the Oprah interview. We then wonder why they're making a tell all, the media's focus on Meghan's family, and getting into the situation with Meghan's father. We also talk about being high character in a low character environment, trying to do good with the privilege you have, and working to heal your wounds. We then bring on our Texting Office Hours caller who is struggling after getting ghosted by a friend of ten years over a small miscommunication. After recognizing this is a repeating pattern, she wonders the best way to establish a new system of communication in order to form a relationship that isn't about trying to win.
