Introduction: Minutes 0 to 8:30 Thanks for understand as we took time off! I watched Andor and The Resident. Chandra watched The Better Sister, Ludwig, Patience and Echo Valley. She recommends them all except for Echo Valley. We both love Murderbot. We talk about Anna Wintour's announcement that she's stepping down as editor for American Vogue. Chandra thinks Edward Enninful might have something to do with it. Wintour was in Venice for the Bezos Sanchez wedding. We know Sanchez's dress is going to be trashy. Royals: Minutes (8:30) to 29:45 We found Meghan's Confessions of a Female Founder podcast informative and inspirational. We wish we could get more AsEver raspberry spread. Chandra ordered two jars of apricot spread and I only ordered one. Some people have already received their AsEver orders. AsEver is releasing a rose wine on July first. That's Diana's birthday and a special anniversary for Harry and Meghan. Meghan has been steadily posting to social media. She's making the most headlines for a video from when she was pregnant and dancing in the hospital. It was funny and cute and the tabloids had a fit. Two reality stars at a King's Trust event recreated that dance on a staircase at the palace. You're not supposed to take personal photos or videos at royal receptions, but both the King's Trust and official Royal Family accounts commented positively on that post. We think it was a setup meant to mock Harry and Meghan but it just makes the Windsors look obsessed as usual. I play a clip from the Aspire podcast where Meghan explained why she posted that video. Camilla Tominey called it a “sexy slut drop,” which is ridiculous. This week we heard that Prince George will be going to his father and uncle's boarding school, Eton, in the fall of 2026. I looked through our archives and there are stories as far back as January, 2019 about Kate pushing for her three children to attend her alma mater, Marlborough. We assume she was forced to give in about George's school, but Louis and Charlotte are likely to go to Marlborough. Last weekend were the Royal Ascot horse races, probably the biggest social event of the year. Kate pulled out at the last minute. It was a big deal judging by the coverage. Palace staff were said to be “bewildered and worried” and a source told the Daily Beast that Kate was tired after Trooping the Colour and Garter Day and that she has good and bad days. We got several negative stories about Kate after that, mostly about how she disrespected the King, but also just rehashing older negative stories about her. There were stories hinting that she didn't feel well, which they should have focused on. Kate is reportedly planning to go to Wimbledon, which is from June 30th to July 13th. She usually goes at the end, but in 2023 she went early to sit with Roger Federer. Hello Magazine has a cover story about Kate with the title “On her own terms.” I put it on Instagram and the aspect ratio makes it say “On her own.” Chandra had two tweets about Kate which went viral this week. It feels like the palace and press are turning on Kate. She might be quite sick, but they play fast and loose with the truth and the royals minimize illness, so it's hard to tell. Chandra remembers how Princess Anne's traumatic brain injury was swept under the rug and how she returned to work with bruises. Harry and William are covering US Magazine, and the article is about how William is mad Harry isn't his scapegoat anymore. It's part of William's embiggening campaign as he tells us about his plans to be king, and it sounds like he can't wait for his father to die. The press freaked out about Harry saying he didn't know how much longer Charles has, but had only a mild response to William. Comments of the Week: Minutes 29:45 to end Kaiser's comment of the week is from Lover on the post about Jonathan Bailey and Scarlett Johansson kissing on red carpets. My comment of the week is from Henny Penny on the post about Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos's tacky wedding. Thanks for listening bitches!

Making friends as an adult is harder than anyone ever warned us about. Unlike childhood, where friendships formed effortlessly on the playground, or college, where connections were built into dorm life, adulthood throws us new challenges—busy schedules, shifting priorities, and the reality that making (and keeping) friendships takes effort. This is a topic I love and have spent a lot of time thinking about. Years ago, I led a seminar on friendship and connection, and despite facing plenty of obstacles, I've been able to build an incredible, supportive group of friends. But it wasn't by accident—it was by understanding what makes friendships work and taking intentional steps to cultivate them. Recently, I came across Mel Robbins' Three Pillars of Friendship—Proximity, Time/Phase of Life, and Energy—and I found myself nodding along because, yes, these are the things that make or break friendships. I also love her Let Them Philosophy, but what I've also embraced is the ‘Let Me' Approach—the idea that Let me be the one to reach out, Let me be the one to host the party, Let me take responsibility for building the connections I want in my life. In this episode, I'm diving into all of this—why making friends in adulthood is hard, how to navigate it, and how to take action to build real, meaningful relationships. And stay tuned, because in upcoming episodes, I'll be exploring the different types of friends based on personality—what strengths they bring to relationships, where imbalances may show up, and how to cultivate deeper connections by understanding temperament. If you've been struggling to find or deepen friendships, or just want to be more intentional about the relationships in your life, this episode is for you.    Get an Adult Temperament Test at Wendy@WendyGossett.com Set up a FREE Chat at:  https://wendygossett.as.me/ChatwithWendy Take my FREE child temperament test:  https://wendygossett.com/child-inner-drive-assessment-product/ Request a FREE Adult Temperament/Enneagram/Instincts Test: https://wendygossett.com/ Website: Wendy Gossett.com Get FREE resources on my website: https://wendygossett.com/ or email me at WendyGossett.com Facebook Podcast Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61565445936367 Book: Your Child's Inner Drive:Parenting by Personality from Toddlers to Teens on Amazon or  https://wendygossett.com/product/your-childs-inner-drive-parenting-by-personality-for-toddlers-to-teens/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaaOCjoDyOk4_gS1KCncLvQ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wendy.gossett/?next=%2F Linked In: www.linkedin.com/in/wendygossett       Wendy Gossett helps parents understand their children by using temperament psychology and neuroscience. Every parent dreams of setting their kids up for success—protecting them from pain, offering them opportunities, and giving them the tools to thrive. But what if, in trying to shield our kids from struggles, we're actually limiting their potential? What if you could give your child a superpower—a mindset that turns challenges into opportunities, builds confidence through healthy struggles, and equips them to create value for themselves and others? I had my first paper route in the 3rd grade! Getting up early, rain or shine, instilled a work ethic in me and taught me so much more than an allowance ever did. That was back in the days when you had to collect the money from your customers by going door to door. In today's episode, we're diving into the principles of Value Creation Kid, a proven roadmap to raising financially competent, responsible, and resilient kids. Joining us is Lee Benson, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience as a CEO. Lee grew and sold his company, Able Aerospace, for 9-figures and now helps low income families thrive. Lee shares practical insights, including: How letting kids have healthy struggles builds resilience. Lee's childhood was rough and full of Ace's Adverse Childhood Expereinces, but despite this he learned how to turn struggles into capabilities and confidence. (See the 10 Ace questions below.) 55+ “Home Gigs (jobs)” to help kids earn, save, spend, and learn financial independence. Lee's struggles and expertise, combined with actionable steps for parents, will inspire you to equip your kids with the confidence and grit to succeed in the real world. Did they make you feel afraid you might be physically hurt? Physical Abuse: Did a parent or other adult in the household often push, grab, slap, or throw something at you? Or ever hit you so hard that you had marks or were injured? Sexual Abuse: Did an adult or older person ever touch you inappropriately, try to make you touch them sexually, or force you into sexual contact? Neglect Emotional Neglect: Did you often feel that no one in your family loved you or thought you were important or special? Or that your family didn't look out for or support each other? Physical Neglect: Did you often feel that you didn't have enough to eat, had to wear dirty clothes, or had no one to protect you? Or that your parents were too drunk or high to care for you or take you to the doctor if needed? Household Dysfunction Parental Separation or Divorce: Were your parents ever separated or divorced? Domestic Violence: Did your mother or stepmother (or another household adult) often get pushed, grabbed, slapped, or have something thrown at them? Or did they ever get hit, kicked, or threatened with a weapon? Substance Abuse: Did you live with anyone who was a problem drinker or alcoholic, or who used drugs? Mental Illness: Was a household member often depressed, mentally ill, or suicidal? Incarceration: Did a household member go to prison?   How the ACE Score Works Each "yes" response equals 1 point, resulting in a total ACE score ranging from 0 to 10. Higher scores indicate a greater exposure to childhood adversity, which is associated with an increased risk of long-term health, emotional, and behavioral challenges.   Take my FREE child temperament test:  https://wendygossett.com/child-inner-drive-assessment-product/ Request a FREE Adult Temperament/Enneagram/Instincts Test: https://wendygossett.com/ Website: Wendy Gossett.com Get FREE resources on my website: https://wendygossett.com/ or email me at WendyGossett.com Facebook Podcast Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61565445936367 Book: Your Child's Inner Drive:Parenting by Personality from Toddlers to Teens on Amazon or  https://wendygossett.com/product/your-childs-inner-drive-parenting-by-personality-for-toddlers-to-teens/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaaOCjoDyOk4_gS1KCncLvQ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wendy.gossett/?next=%2F Linked In: www.linkedin.com/in/wendygossett   Wendy Gossett helps parents understand their children by using temperament psychology and neuroscience. Introduction: Minutes 0 to 4:00 I am recovering well from a hysterectomy. Chandra had a stomach virus last weekend which is why we didn't publish on Sunday Oscar nominated movies we watched: Minutes 4:00 to 13:30 There are no spoilers in this section. We both loved Conclave as we discussed in the last episode. I want it to win best picture. I saw Emilia Perez before the controversies and I really liked it. We both saw Wicked. Chandra liked it more than I did. She loved Anora and wishes that Mikey Madison would have done a bigger Oscar campaign. We both hated The Substance and wonder why it's getting so much buzz. We both saw A Real Pain and liked it. We wonder why Denzel Washington wasn't nominated for his performance in Gladiator II. Chandra liked Maria and was hoping Angelina would be nominated. She saw A Complete Unknown and thought Timothee Chalamet was great in it. I highly recommend Day of The Jackal on Peacock and am watching Paradise on Hulu. We're both watching the second season of Severance. Royals: Minutes 13:30 to 22:15 In early January we got the announcement of Duchess Meghan's new lifestyle show on Netflix called With Love, Meghan. She's also back on Instagram. Her show was supposed to premiere on January 15th, but was delayed until March 4th due to the terrible wildfires in Los Angeles. NGN settled with Prince Harry on the day the trial was supposed to start. If Harry hadn't taken the settlement, it would have altered the case. This was a win for Harry since NGN admitted guilt. Harry's security case is still in the courts. The Invictus Games are going to be February 8th to the 16th in Vancouver. We hope Meghan is there most of the time, but we'll see. The Vanity Fair cover story on Harry and Meghan came out a couple of weeks ago. It's very similar to the British narrative we've been hearing about their relationship for years now, and it's insidious and despicable. Chandra wrote some good analysis about how the piece was meant to tear Harry down before he testified against NGN. Princess Kate and Prince William have done so many events this week. Kate's surprise visit to Royal Marsden hospital on January 14th was curiously timed. Politics: Minutes 22:15 to 29:30 Following the horrific plane collision between a US Army helicopter and a commercial flight, Trump did a press conference and blamed DEI policies. Both the plane crash and the response by Trump were predicted by a University of Maryland political science professor. He tweeted on January 29, a day before, that there weren't enough air traffic controllers and that Trumpers would blame a crash on DEI. Trump had recently fired the head of the FAA and put a hiring freeze on air traffic controllers. We're frustrated at people asking Democrats to do something. It will probably take some time before people realize that they were wrong to vote for Trump. Comments of the Week: Minutes 29:30 to end Chandra's comment of the week is from SussexWatcher on the post about Prince William visiting a farm. My comment of the week is from Rai on the post about Chappell Roan. I didn't delete the comment I was responding to, it was just at the bottom and I missed it when we were recording. Thanks for listening bitches!

Are you struggling to find a therapist who truly understands and connects with your child? You're not alone. Pediatricians tell me that over half of the concerns they see in their practice are tied to mental health—whether it's the child the parents, or both. Tody, I'm thrilled to introduce you to a mom I've had the honor of coaching. She's an incredible parent, a natural caregiver, and a community leader. As a Type 2 on the Enneagram and an ESFJ in the Myers-Briggs system, her personality is known for warmth, compassion, and generosity. Yet, her intuitive and sensitive INFP Type 4 daughter needed a different approach to thrive. In this episode, you'll hear how our sessions—working one-on-one with her daughter and then together as a family—helped transform their relationship. This journey gave them tools to embrace their differences, compromise effectively, and connect more deeply.
