My guest today is Lucy Miller-Suchet. I’ve known Lucy since she was in utero and have witnessed her beautiful growth into a kind-hearted, conscientious young woman, dedicated to social justice. As my youngest guest so far, Lucy’s impressive experiences exceed her 21 years. As a 9th grader, Lucy was a trusted, responsible member of my independent youth group which culminated our year together in a two-week service trip to Nicaragua to build one-room cinder block houses for materially poor families. Lucy recently graduated from Brandeis University, having doubled majored in ‘International Global Studies’ and ‘Health, Science, Society and Policy’, with a minor in ‘Economics’. During a profound summer college internship in San Francisco at a public health, non-profit start-up, Lucy learned invaluable lessons in stretching herself outside of her comfort zone, a deeper understanding of her self, and concrete, healthy self-care skills. Lucy also had an intense Junior semester in Argentina, immersed in Spanish speaking classes, while studying Argentina’s health system. Lucy admits that she likes to throw herself off a cliff and see what happens, knowing that she’ll eventually be able to swim. Lucy was selected to be a fellow with the ‘Princeton in Latin America Fellowship’ and she’ll soon be moving to Ecuador, to work as a liaison with the US-based organization 'Partners for Andean Community Health'. Impressive, right?!? Join me in cheering Lucy on in this next chapter of her inspiring life! Enjoy the podcast! Links: Instagram https://partnersforandeancommunityhealth.org/

Episode 26 of the Doctor Who: Alhambra Podcast starts off with some fun banter between Brett and Liam. We bring up the discussion of "what is cannon" if one is not able to read the Doctor Who books, comic books, and graphic novels, would that be considered cannon to that individual.  Where as is Big Finish cannon to those who don't enjoy listening to their Doctor Who in an audio format.   We make many attempts to do the Audio Edition review of The Twin Dilemma story, but both Brett and Liam get in the way of reviewing the story as we discuss:  Reality Shows, Budget Constraints on Doctor Who, why the 6th Doctor era is not well like by fans (brought up many times), 1st and 6th Doctor character improvements because of Big Finish, Lucy Miller and Flipp's accent, and Flipp is a character, Jonathan Morris' twitter reply to my question about "We Are the Daleks" question about why the Imperial Dalek appears on the cover art (explained horribly), The Enemy of the World DVD release, Nichola Bryant being rescued by nudist followed my exprience with naked UK bikers. Regardless of all the tangents we get on, we do review The Twin Dilemma. Stay tuned for our next Podcast in September, when we look at the new Doctor Who News, the Big Finish releases for the month of September, the New Doctor Who TV episodes.   Our next Audio Edition Review will be The Time and the Rani.  Please listen to the story, and send us a tweet or an email about your audio only experience.   Please email the show at: alhambraaudio@gmail.com Tweet the show: @AlhambraPodcast or @djNezumi or @Mavic_Chen Visit our website: AlhambraPodcast.weebly.com Stay tuned for future podcast which will feature fellow podcasters from Doctor Who: Dark Journey and Outpost Skaro.  Here's some information and links regarding these great podcasts. @AMAudioMedia (Dark Journey website) features a talented group of podcasters who make Doctor Who audio dramas.  The adventures are: Doctor Who meets Sherlock Holmes.  Give their audio drama podcasts a listen, you'll be in for a wonderful treat!   @Outpost_Skaro featuring Derek, Andy and Nate run this excellent podcast and discuss and review Doctor Who News as well as Classic Who, New Who, and Big Finish audio releases. Website Link
