Here at BossMom, we know the best breakthroughs don't come from pretending everything's fine. They come when we're honest about the fear, the overwhelm, and the spirals of anxiety that so many of us carry while raising kids and building businesses. In this episode, Dana sits down with Zen Cryar DeBrucke, creator of the Fear-Free Human Movement and founder of the Recreating You Game. Zen shares her work on the Internal Guidance System (IGS), a built-in compass we all have that helps us detect when our thoughts are leading us off track, and how to shift toward ones that open us up to alignment, peace, and possibility. Together, they explore what it looks like to move past fear-based thinking, how to recognize the signals in your body that show you the truth, and why learning to pivot into “opening” thoughts can be the key to lasting emotional freedom. If you've ever wondered how to stop the late-night worry spiral, how to respond to life's chaos with more clarity, or how to live and lead from a place of abundance instead of fear, this conversation will leave you inspired, grounded, and ready to trust the guidance system you already carry inside. Betrayal doesn't just happen in your mind—it lives in your body. The racing heart, the tight chest, the endless mental loops that keep you awake at night… they're not just “in your head.” They're your body holding on to trauma. And while journaling, therapy, and mindset work can bring clarity, they don't always free you from the pain that's lodged deep within. That's why this conversation with betrayal recovery coach, TEDx speaker, and author Lora Cheadle is so powerful. Lora knows firsthand the devastation of infidelity, and she shares how somatic healing, hypnosis, and even burlesque-inspired movement can unlock joy, sensuality, and a true sense of safety after betrayal. Together, we explore how trauma gets stored on a cellular level and the surprising ways to release it, how hypnosis helps quiet the obsessive loops about the affair or the other woman, and why reconnecting with your sensual body is not just important—it's essential. Lora even introduces the playful, empowering practice of burlesque-inspired movement and Yogalesque® as a way to reclaim pleasure, confidence, and personal power. If you've been stuck reliving the same painful stories, this episode is an invitation to step out of your head and back into your body. Because real healing—and the freedom to fully live again—begins when your body feels safe enough to let go. Lora Cheadle brings not only her professional expertise but her lived experience of betrayal. After discovering her husband's 15-year affair, she turned heartbreak into a path of healing and joy, and now guides women through the emotional, energetic, and even ancestral layers of betrayal recovery. She's the author of FLAUNT! and It's Not Burnout, It's Betrayal, and the host of the FLAUNT! Create a Life You Love After Infidelity or Betrayal podcast. This episode is a compassionate reminder that your healing isn't just about making sense of the past—it's about reclaiming your body, your joy, and your life. Connect with Lora: Listen to the Flaunt! In Episode 165 of the Fit Mother Project podcast, Dr. Anthony Balduzzi sits down with Katie Hess, founder of LOTUSWEI, to explore the gentle but powerful world of flower essences. They open with a clear distinction between flower essences and more familiar plant modalities like herbs and essential oils, then lay out how essences are made and why they're aimed at shifting the emotional patterns that quietly drive our habits, stress, and sleep.Dr. Balduzzi and Katie dive into practical use cases for women over 40—calming an overactive mind at night, softening stress responses, easing body-image spirals, and reopening a guarded heart. Katie shares real-world stories from her practice, along with simple “start today” rituals using drops in water or misting, and the intuitive method of selecting a flower you're naturally drawn to.The conversation expands into the science-adjacent terrain, touching on forest bathing research and why even short immersions in nature can imprint the nervous system for days. Katie explains how dilution in essence-making is designed to work at the “pattern level,” complementing (not replacing) conventional care and fitting seamlessly alongside nutrition, exercise, and mindset work. They wrap with a beginner's roadmap: pick one essence, build a tiny daily ritual around it, and notice shifts in mood, posture, and self-talk over a few weeks. If you've been curious about non-pharmaceutical, nature-based support for stress and sleep—or you simply want a gentler way to change stubborn habits—this conversation offers an accessible place to start.Key Takeaways:Flower essences = the flower's energetic imprint in water; different from herbs/oilsWork on emotional/energetic patterns that drive habits and health choicesPassionflower essence helps quiet “monkey mind” and support sleepPeony softens scarcity/lack; attracts possibility and easeDaisy dissolves rigidity/over-seriousness; restores lightness and joyRose opens the heart; supports healing from heartbreak/guardednessJasmine supports self-acceptance and radiance (helpful for body-image ruts)Lotus amplifies all essences; accelerates insight and growthForest bathing can lower cortisol and boost immunity with lasting effectsMaking essences: solar/lunar infusion → preserved “mother” → serial dilutionsDilution increases depth of action (pattern-level), akin to homeopathic theoryHow to use: 5 drops, 5x/day in mouth or water; mists and anointing oils also workUse intuition: we're drawn to the flowers we most need right nowEssences complement (not replace) medical care; think “emotional root support”Start simple: take the quiz, choose one blend, and build a daily ritualWhere to Discover More with Katie Hess:Website: http://lotuswei.com/fitfamilyUse discount code FITFAMILY at checkout and receive 10% off your order (one per customer).Take the Master Flower Quiz to discover your most resonant flower essence. Letting go of a long-term relationship can feel like losing a lifetime investment, leaving you with grief, resentment, and confusion about how to move forward. Divorce often stirs old wounds and unconscious beliefs formed in childhood, patterns that resurface in marriage and make the ending feel even more painful. Many people believe it will take years of hard work to heal, but what if there was a way to shift your emotional state and release that pain far more quickly? In this episode of the Journey Beyond Divorce Podcast, I sit down with Sanaiyah Gurnamal, a Master ThetaHealer and founder of House of Healing in Dubai. Sanaiyah shares how ThetaHealing works at the subconscious level to dissolve limiting beliefs, heal attachment wounds, and release grief stored in both the body and mind. Together, we explore why cognitive understanding alone isn't enough, how energetic transformation can unlock freedom, and why letting go of the “investment mindset” is essential to moving beyond the past. I also share my personal experience with ThetaHealing and the profound shifts I experienced in a single session. This conversation is both practical and deeply hopeful, offering insight into how you can begin letting go of resentment, shame, and guilt—even if forgiveness feels out of reach. Whether you're in the midst of divorce or still holding on to the pain of a past relationship, this episode will help you see what's possible when you release old stories and open the door to clarity, confidence, and peace. Would you like to feel emotionally free? Do frustration, stress, and worry consume your thoughts? Are you anxious? Psychiatrist and bestselling author Dr. Judith Orloff shares her inspiring wisdom and invites us to liberate ourselves by mastering our emotions. In her NYT best-selling book, “Emotional Freedom,” she talks about not just getting rid of fear but learning the skill of courage. That way we can learn to move forward, with patience and compassion. We must acknowledge the negative feelings but keep on moving. She also talks about jealousy and envy and how to transform these emotions. These emotions stem from low self-esteem, but it is possible to work through it. She talks about not being attached to the outcome but always trying to follow your heart and do your best. If we can do that, we can know we've succeeded. Dr Orloff addresses loneliness and how it is increasing dramatically, as it's caused by separation from self, others, and spirit. But this can be healed through a sense of connection, and she talks about how meditation can help, as well as going out into nature. She further discusses anger, frustration, and sadness and how we can stay in the now, and work through each of those emotions to grow. Judith Orloff, M.D. is an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at UCLA. She is an international lecturer on the interrelationship of intuition, energy, and medicine and has spoken at medical schools, hospitals, and various forums. Some of her books include “Positive Energy Practices: How to Attract Uplifting People and Combat Energy Vampires,” and “Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing: 5 Steps to Physical, Emotional, and Sexual Wellness.” Info: drjudithorloff.com.
This is The Energy to Heal, your resource for all things Splankna, the faith-based inner healing modality that will help you achieve emotional freedom. In this episode, Laura shares a deeply personal and powerful story from her own life—a journey of healing with her son who was struggling with DEBILITATING separation anxiety. What seemed like typical childhood fears turned out to be rooted in a forgotten memory from infancy—one that neither of them consciously remembered. But in a Splankna session, that buried moment came to light, and everything changed. This episode explores how the subconscious stores emotional experiences and how uncovering them can lead to real, lasting transformation. If you've ever wondered why certain behaviors seem unshakable or where overwhelming emotions come from, this story will bring clarity, hope, and insight.

How can you conquer what's defeating you? In this powerful episode, recorded live at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Dallas, host Tina Yeager sits down with Karl Clauson—host of Moody Radio's "Karl and Crew Mornings," pastor of vision and leadership at 180Chicago, and an Iditarod Trail sled dog race finisher. Together, they dive deep into the topic of “Conquering What Is Defeating You.” Karl opens up about his own struggles with addiction, the true meaning of sin, and how shame and self-justification can keep us trapped in destructive cycles. The conversation unpacks practical, faith-based strategies for breaking free from the things that hold us back—including Karl's three-step approach to lasting spiritual victory: embracing humility, abiding in Christ, and learning to depend daily on the Holy Spirit. If you've ever felt stuck, burdened by guilt, or wondered how to break the cycle of defeat, this episode will offer you hope, encouragement, and actionable wisdom for your journey. Tune in for an honest, grace-filled discussion aimed at helping you experience the true freedom and flourishing that comes from walking closely with God. Key Takeaways from the Conversation: 1. Identify What's in the Shadows Before we can overcome what's weighing us down, we need to identify it. Karl reminded us that confronting the hidden challenges in our lives requires courage and honesty. As he put it, “The issue of killing sin, it's not commonly talked about, but it's a hallmark of really living in discipleship with Christ.” 2. Understand What “Missing the Mark” Really Means Karl shared the true meaning of “sin” as missing the bullseye—not a shameful label, but a recognition of imperfection. This compassionate view frames repentance as an invitation to mercy, not condemnation. 3. Don't Fall for Self-Justification It's easy to compare ourselves to others and rationalize our struggles, but the focus should be on following Jesus and letting Him guide each individual journey. 4. Surrender to God's Power Karl vulnerably opened up about his own battles with addiction and explained that, “The older I get, the more…aware I am both of my own sin and of the loving God who wants to liberate us.” Freedom starts when we let God do what we cannot do ourselves. 5. Three-Step Symphony to Freedom Karl describes the journey to victory like movements in a symphony: Humility: The root virtue of all others. True humility means focusing more on God's greatness than our own shortcomings. Abiding in Christ: Staying close to Jesus—“the Vine”—so that His life flows through us and produces fruit, rather than striving to manufacture change on our own. Yielding to the Holy Spirit: Raising our “sails” so God's Spirit can empower, guide, and remind us of truth moment by moment. 6. It's Not About Willpower Alone One of the most powerful reminders—“You can't do it. You can't conquer what's defeating you. But God can.” Want to Dive Deeper? In this episode, Craig turns our attention to an often-overlooked dimension of meditation practice: our emotional lives. We're often taught that the biggest obstacle in meditation is our thinking mind—our thoughts, beliefs, and judgments. But strong emotions can be just as impactful, and often even more so.When we sit to practice, we may be subtly trying to feel better, hoping meditation will deliver peace or bliss. But what happens when we stop trying to fix how we feel—and begin to fully feel without needing to react, interpret, or escape? In this episode, The Practice of Emotional Freedom, Craig invites us into a radical kind of contentment. One that doesn't come from avoiding our emotions, but from no longer being ruled by them.Together, we'll explore how to release preference, suspend interpretation, and rest in the deeper ground of being where true emotional freedom becomes possible. We encourage you to tune in at a time when you can listen without interruption. To access the full transcript of this episode and discover more resources, visit the episode page on MeditationChangesEverything.com. In this episode, Laura Milliken breaks down what Splankna actually is—from the science behind energy healing to the spiritual foundation that sets this protocol apart. Whether you're brand new to Splankna or still wrestling with some skepticism, Laura explains the mind-body connection, how trauma gets stored in the body, and why muscle testing and prayer are powerful tools in the healing journey. You'll walk away with a clearer understanding of how emotional trauma can be released through this holistic healing protocol and why the integration of neuroscience, prayer, and the subconscious mind makes Splankna so unique.
