It's Tuesday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your earholes and cover all of the biggest stories relating to the Edmonton Oilers. On this week's podcast, we discussed potential Oilers trade targets, Lauren Kyle opening a new bar in Edmonton, and much more. We kicked off the Tuesday podcast with a delicious debate about Frank Seravalli's new Trade Targets list, which dropped this morning at DailyFaceoff.com. We discussed whether there are any players listed that the Oilers should be interested in acquiring. Given that many Oilers fans would prefer that Stan Bowman acquire some defensive help is that the best approach to the deadline with few trade assets available? Are there any included forwards in Frank's list that would be worthy of exploring? From there, we dove into the past few days around Edmonton and recapped the Oilers' two big wins over the Anaheim Ducks and Seattle Kraken. Given that both teams are below them in the standings, it was interesting to see how much trouble the Ducks keep giving the Oilers even though our side ultimately won the rematch. Does it matter how the wins come if you're collecting two points? We also looked at other topics du jours, including Lauren Kyle's new business venture, Matt Savoie's recent AHL success, and a retirement announcement from an Oiler friend. Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with a discussion about tonight's game against the Boston Bruins. The Oilers were able to beat the Bruins in their first matchup of the season, but it will be much tougher if they're going to sweep the season series. Either way, we gave our keys to victory regarding what the Oilers need to do to beat the Bruins, and what habits they need to shed to make sure it's doable. Either way, the boys were feeling bullish.

Welcome in to summer edition of Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk. We are now into the dog days of the summer with a little Edmonton Oilers news to chat about. However, there's never not a good time to speculate on how certain players can impact the lineup. On today's show, Tyler is joined by Liam Horrobin and the two of them will take a look at some wildcard players ahead of next season. What kind of impact could players like Vitkor Arvidsson, Matt Savoie and Lane Pederson all have on this Oilers lineup? Let the guys know what you think in the Greta Bar YouTube live chat throughout the segment. Tyler and Liam encourage you to interact with them and also the other Nation Citizens in the chat. Also on the show, they'll take a look at some of the other news coming from around the NHL. The guys will specifically dive into the news surrounding the Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jacks and a possible landing spot for Jay Woodcroft. Who do you think has had the best off season? Towards the end of the program, it'll be time to grade another Oiler, presented by Sherwood Power Sports and Marine. Today it's Brett Kulak's turn. On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by sports media personality Joe Yerdon for a conversation focused on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, streamed live from Imperial Pizza in South Buffalo. Joe covers the Sabres for his Noted Hockey Substack and also does work with Bleacher Report. It's been a very busy and eventful summer for the hockey team and Joe shares his thoughts on UPL's new five-year and trading away Matt Savoie in addition to an insightful discussion on who he thinks is under more pressure this season between the Sabres and BIlls. Speaking of the Bills there's plenty of football talk as well with Joe, who's admittedly a lifelong Detroit Lions fan. The Bills look to be off to a strong start at training camp and are still considered among the league's better teams, but the guys discuss a huge aura of uncertainty surrounding them going into the regular season. Josh Allen looks like he's having the best camp of his career and it goes without saying Buffalo will need the best version of him to be successful That plus some talk about summertime in Buffalo, wings and much more. Big shout-out and thank you once again to Imperial Pizza for being a gracious host and for their excellent wings. They now have two locations, 1035 Abbott Road and 1665 Main Street ♦♦♦♦♦ Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's Substack Twitter: @PatMoranTweets. There's no better way to spend a Wednesday night than with a cold beer and a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never, amirite? This week, I talked about the Edmonton heat wave, brought you up to date on all of the Oilers news, and took your voicemails to work through whatever is on your mind.Kicking off this week's podcast, I got started with a little bit of music talk. Not only did I watch and love the new Nickelback documentary that's up on Netflix, but I also premiered a brand new BLTN original song that made me laugh out loud. I always get excited any time new music comes into the podcast, and this week's tune was no exception. Simply amazing.Turning the show back to the Oilers, I walked through the little bits of news that have come out over the last week, including Matt Savoie appearing at development camp, Leon Draisaitl's agent feeling confident a deal will get done, and Raphael Lavoie signing a fresh contract to stay in Edmonton. At this time of the year, there's never much going on, but that doesn't mean there wasn't plenty to talk about when it comes to the Oilers.Lastly, I wrapped up this week's show with a pair of guest RSBs and capped off the pod with another round of voicemails ranging from summer in Edmonton, Oilers talk, Jeff Jackson, and everything in between. Once again, this podcast really is one of my favourite parts of the week, and I'm so very grateful for the levels of participation by the wonderful BLTN community that keeps moving. Oh, and subscribe to my YouTube channel.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by longtime friend and recurring guest Tone Pucks for his weekly visit to discuss the Buffalo Bills must-win game against Denver on Monday night in addition to wondering if the Bills are even one of the best seven teams in the AFC as things currently stand. It was not a good Sunday in terms of AFC scoreboard watching for the Bills, with the Browns, Steelers and Texans all winning. It's got the guys wondering if, Denver result pending aside the Bills are even good enough to make the playoffs this season. Spoiler alert--it's not as ridiculous of a conversation as you may think. The Bills got several issues right now and some of them are problems that may not simply disappear. They also talk a little Buffalo Sabres and go over some players the guys think are actually hurting the team by being on the ice at is point. Also, why was Matt Savoie's appearance with the Sabres so brief before being returned to Juniors? That, plus Patrick's weekend bar crawl and much more. It's time, at last. The Sabres season opens on Thursday and to celebrate they got Rasmus Dahlin locked up for an 8-year, $88 million extension for Lance and Joe to discuss. They'll get into that as well as 18-year-old Zach Benson making the team, Matt Savoie's recovery from injury and what's next for him, and a tour through the lineup (especially goaltending...) to look ahead to what should be a big season in Buffalo. Thanks for listening and thanks for letting us know you're enjoying the pod.Follow Lance and Joe on Twitter!Read Lance's work at The Buffalo NewsRead Joe's work at Noted Hockey and Bleacher ReportBig thanks to our musician friends --Intro: MerlinBerlin -- "Orbit" - Find them on BandcampOutro: Chips 'N Cellos -- Boss Fight (Sabre Dance, Khachaturian) - Find them on BandcampThe Fantasy Hockey Bros PodcastFantasy Hockey experts Mike, Anth, Joe and Brian give you the tips to win your leaguesListen on: Apple Podcasts Spotify
Lance and Joe are back and so are the Buffalo Sabres. The guys lead off the show discussing what's going on with the lack of extensions signed by Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power and whether or not it's actually a big deal. Training camp is underway and there are battles to be had, but one player who won't be duking it out just yet is prospect Matt Savoie whose shoulder injury is keeping him on the sidelines and possibly off the Sabres roster this season. There are plenty of guys worthy of discussing to take the spot vacated by Jack Quinn thanks to injury, however, and Lance and Joe will mention each of them in great detail, of course. They'll also go over their initial impressions of the first couple days of camp.
