Chris Coleman is REIA Radio's next guest. Chris grew up with his parents and grandparents on the coast of Mississippi. During his middle school days, Chris learned how to weld, building go carts and motorbikes. At age 15, he and his family had to leave their home to avoid the wrath of hurricane Katrina. After returning home, the aftermath of the hurricane presented an opportunity for a very handy Chris, allowing him to make some money doing clean outs, demos and almost anything that was needed. Following his father's advice who came to Nebraska chasing storms as a roofer, Chris came to Omaha and during got a special opportunity while in high school to go to Tech School in Milford, Nebraska. Chris bounced around a couple of jobs as a machine tools specialist for some years before finally deciding to pursue a sales job, an idea he had while he was in high school. He got his Realtor's license in 2015 and it was off to the races right? You'll hear that things don't always go according to plan and that's what makes this interview such a great one. Chris details a series of Failing Forwards that unanimously teach us about the importance of implementing systems before scaling our businesses, the complications associated with Who not How and (business) growing pains. Ted, Owen and even Denlis share some thoughts that could help Entrepreneurs, who struggle with imposter syndrome, overcome this toxic mentality. Originally from Louisiana, Ryan Miller is the son of a Vietnam vet. Coming from a military family, he enlisted straight out of high school at the age of 19. Ryan joined the Air force and worked on the E4B, also known as the doomsday plane or airborne Pentagon in 2006 for 10 years. Ryan retired in March 2020 with 20 years of service to his country and immediately got a job as a Defense contractor, which he still has today. His initial interest in Real Estate was to own a glass coffee shop with an adjacent playground similar to one his wife would go to in Louisiana. When that didn't work out, he continued to search and like most of rookie investors, came across bigger pockets. That lead to Ryan attending meetups, taking notes and then taking action which lead to him closing a 6-unit package deal as his first Investment. Ryan learned about seller financing from attending another meetup and used that creative strategy to buy his 2nd deal, another 6 units. His Failing Forward makes us think about balancing the property management scale of doing it yourself to learn and save money versus outsourcing it to leverage time, efficiency and peace of mind. We get some good golden nuggets throughout the episode and some nice deep thoughts about Ryan's why, generational wealth and what they both mean to him. Episode 27 of Paranormal Stories. This week the books are 'Soul to God: A Soul's Journey Over Many Lives' by Michael Kramer and 'Alien In The Mirror: Extraterrestrial Contact Theories & Evidence' by Randall Fitzgerald.Randall Fitzgerald 'Alien In The Mirror: Extraterrestrial Contact Theories & Evidence'For independent-minded readers, those who want all of the theories and supporting evidence to make up their own minds, Alien in the Mirror brings refreshing clarity and sanity to a topic long shrouded in smoke and mirror confusion.Encyclopedic in its scope and mind-expandingly rich in its detail, this book is destined to be a classic, written by an investigative reporter, Randall Fitzgerald, who has studied the alien contact phenomenon for over five decades. All aspects of this controversial subject are comprehensively covered—ancient astronaut theories, UFOs and UFO occupants, contactees and abductees, the ideas of skeptics and debunkers, and the SETI science program and its detractors. Each of the five sections open with new findings and stunning revelations from the author's own thorough investigations.Alien in the Mirror is quite literally a condensation of information from hundreds of books. It represents the most authoritative and complete guide to the realm of extraterrestrial contact, theories and evidence, ever compiled. It presents a fascinating definitive history of the phenomenon, giving readers objective and essential information that challenges us to reexamine what we think we know about our consensus reality. As the legendary theorist and scientist Jacques F. Vallée writes in his Foreword to Alien in the Mirror: “This book will stand as testimony to a well-traveled road of investigation and wonder. We should acknowledge it with gratitude, not only for its neat classification of complex events, but for the hope it gives us of a long-delayed, much welcome re-awakening of the true spirt of science after seventy years of slumber.”BioRandall Fitzgerald's ten books (and more than 50 books as a ghostwriter) have been pioneering explorations of a wide variety of topics, reflecting his diverse interests and an insatiable curiosity cultivated by 35 years as a newspaper and magazine journalist. For two decades he was a Roving Editor for Reader's Digest and also wrote investigative feature articles for The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. He began his journalism career at 19, as a general assignment reporter for The Tyler Morning Telegraph, in Tyler, Texas. While in journalism school at the University of Texas at Austin, he worked as a political reporter in the state capitol bureau of The Houston Post and spent a semester as a Congressional Fellow in Washington, D.C., working as press secretary to a U.S. Congressman. In August 1974, the week that Richard Nixon resigned as President, he became an investigative reporter for newspaper syndicated columnist Jack Anderson, in Washington, D.C. He received a grant from the Fund for Investigative Journalism in 1975 to investigate the Mafia and CIA connections of the publisher of The National Enquirer by going undercover as a reporter for the tabloid. His first book contract came from Pocket Books/Simon & Schuster, based on his Enquirer investigation. His second book appeared in 1979, from Macmillan, The Complete Book of Extraterrestrial Encounters, the cover of which was immortalized in Ron Howard's extraterrestrial-themed film Cocoon. During 1978-80, he co-edited Second Look magazine, devoted to articles about the search for extraterrestrial life, the nature of consciousness, and the origins of civilization. He edited articles from some of the biggest names in science and science fiction---Isaac Asimov, Stanislaw Lem, Sir Fred Hoyle, Paul Davies, Sir Roger Penrose. In 2003 and 2004, he was a Senior Editor of Phenomena magazine, founded by former Hollywood studio executive Jeff Sagansky. Two of his books, Lucky You! (2004, Citadel/Kensington) and The Hundred Year Lie (2006, Penguin/Dutton) were Amazon.com bestsellers. Lucky You! was the first book to examine the link between intuition and luck in games of chance and got distribution in Spanish, Japanese, and Korean editions. The Hundred Year Lie, about the impact of synthetic chemicals on human health, was also published by Beijing University Press in China, where it has been a perennial seller.Based on his Lucky You! book, he was selected in 2005 as the media master of ceremonies for the 100th anniversary celebration of the founding of the city of Las Vegas, on behalf of the Fremont Street Experience, a collection of 10 casinos, including the Golden Nugget, along with the city of Las Vegas, giving live television interviews to dozens of local television stations nationwide. He has been a guest on ABC's The View, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Dr. Mehmet Oz Show, The Michael Smerconish Show, Court TV, CBS' 48 Hours, ABC's 20/20, BBC and PBS Radio, and hundreds of other television and radio shows, including four appearances on The Coast-to-Coast radio show with George Noory.https://alieninthemirror.com/https://www.amazon.com/Alien-Mirror-Extraterrestrial-Theories-Evidence-ebook/dp/B09X874R4P/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1649265119&sr=1-4Michael Kramer 'Soul to God: A Soul's Journey Over Many Lives'At 12 years of age, a powerful spiritual force lifted me out of my body into a world of extreme light, profound love, and bliss. My life goal became to understand and duplicate that experience at will. Guided by an inner presence I began my life study of Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Zen, Taoist and New Age thought in search of answers. At 13, memories began surfacing of my past life as a Tibetan Buddhist Lama, who taught his students the aggressive, dispassionate sport of debate, to logically challenge everyone, including oneself. Challenging religious dogma did not endear me to the Jesuit Brothers at my all-boys, Catholic High School. I was labeled a rebel who challenged religious logic and authority. Thus began my life path and conflict, rejecting traditional thought in search of an all-inclusive wisdom that made sense—that included all religions and sciences, and led to my goal of God Realization. Soul to God is the story of my Soul's journey over many lifetimes, of the miracles and revelations that led to the Divine.BioMichael R. Kramer spent 34 years as a spiritual leader, teacher, public speaker and spiritual counselor. He retired from his business in international graphic design, to focus on supporting the planetary evolution taking place. Michael is living in San Diego California. Susan Guthrie is joined by Jan Barefoot, the Barefoot P.I., to discuss how a private investigator may be the secret weapon you need for your divorce! This episode aims to help listeners understand what a private investigator (P.I.) does in a divorce. We often think about hiring a P.I. solely to find out if a spouse is having an affair. Yet, there is so much more they can do to help bolster the divorce case, including gathering information or creating a safe space for your next move.  Ultimately a private investigator can help you by confirming your gut instincts, unburdening emotional turmoil, and allowing you to gain clarity on how you want to proceed with your divorce.  Jan Barefoot founded Barefoot Professional Investigations in 1986 to provide targeted investigative services to clients in the southeastern United States. Jan's unique interest in investigations was spurred by her experience working within the legal industry and a keen ability to uncover details. Jan's passion is to impact the lives of Clients from favorable verdicts in capital murders cases to restoring spouses whose families have been wronged. Jan and Susan cover these Golden Nugget topics: How a P.I. can be helpful to someone going through a divorce What a private investigator does when performing surveillance services Jan explains that when you are involved in a custody dispute there is information a P.I. can gather for your case Understanding the complexities of today's digital world, digital forensics, and divorce  Best practices for background checks when newly dating or even highering childcare services  You won't believe all of the ways a P.I. can help you in your divorce. Listen to this eye-opening episode!  Transcript of the Episode: https://web.descript.com/b09b7409-c195-4375-9eed-f6543fbe9dce/063d6 About this week's special guest: Jan Barefoot Charlotte native Jan Barefoot founded Barefoot Professional Investigations in 1986 to provide targeted investigative services to clients in the southeastern United States. Jan's unique interest in investigations was spurred by her experience working within the legal industry and a keen ability to uncover details. Jan's passion is to impact the lives of Clients from favorable verdicts in capital murders cases to restoring spouses whose families have been wronged.  Her approach to private investigations has always been simple: deliver on commitments and provide unparalleled customer service. By nature, private investigation work is often quite sensitive and can be extremely challenging to all involved parties. Jan knows how critical it is to operate with respect, discretion, and professionalism. Over three decades later and after investigating over 200 murder cases and nearly 3,000 domestic cases, her investigators and staff continue to carry that torch. Jan holds a degree from King's Business College and worked as a legal assistant for several years before moving to the investigative industry. She is an active member of the National Association of Legal Investigators, Intellenet, and the World Association of Detectives and enjoys continuing to grow and learn from the investigative community and industry colleagues. In this week's episode, she argues that putting your value in front of prospects is critical. If agents are going to survive the onslaught of iBuyers and combat the industry's negative image among members of the general public, then they are going to have to explain and deliver value not just during a transaction but before and after the sale as well.
