When you get what you want in your struggle for self And the world makes you king for a day Just go to the mirror and look at yourself And see what that man has to say. For it isn't your father, or mother, or wife Whose judgment upon you must pass The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life Is the one staring back from the glass. He's the fellow to please – never mind all the rest For he's with you, clear to the end And you've passed your most difficult, dangerous test If the man in the glass is your friend. You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years And get pats on the back as you pass But your final reward will be heartache and tears If you've cheated the man in the glass. ~Peter Dale Wimbrow Sr. When you make gratitude your way of life, everything in the world around you "magically" changes - just like that. Your world changes because you change, so what you are attracting changes too... Listen to Michael Jackson "Man in the Mirror" message of - change the person in the mirror, and your world will change. And even though it is sometimes hard to see the changes in yourself, I know you have felt the change, you have felt change in your happiness! Manifest Your Bliss begins with gratitude! Na - was haben die folgenden Kombis gemeinsam? Gemischtes Hack, Max und Moritz, Tim und Struppi, Ernie und Bert, Sang- und Klanglos, Fix und Foxi, Fest und Flauschig. Richtig. This week let's pay homage to the musical legacy of Michael Jackson. It's been 10 years since Michael Jackson passed away and lots of things have emerged since then, but the popularity of his music remains strong, including among jazz musicians (the majority of the tracks featured this week was released after his passing). If you are concerned that jazz interpretations of pop music come very close to smooth jazz, don't worry… that's not Mondo Jazz's fare and the fact that musicians like Lester Bowie, Mal Waldron, Geri Allen, Enrico Rava, Vijay Iyer, Ran and Michael Blake have embraced the repertoire of the King of Pop should provide sufficient reassurances. So stay tuned for 2 hours of covers played by these musicians (& more) plus a collaboration between Michael Jackson and the master of jazz organ, Jimmy Smith, under the watchful eye of Quincy Jones. Ep. 17 — Alex and Bobby get wistful on this one, mourning the loss of Roy Halladay and reminiscing on just how dominant he was in the 2000s, and reflecting on the career of Carlos Beltran as he hangs up the cleats. Then they discuss some baseball players who made headlines this week doing things completely unrelated to baseball. Finally, they air some gripes about flawed awards criteria, and pick some destinations for a few top free agents based on where it ~feels~ like their spirit takes them. Songs featured in this episode: Michael Jackson — “Man in the Mirror” • Damian Lillard — “Run It Up” • Nas — “If I Ruled the World” • Notorious B.I.G feat. Ja Rule — “Old Thing Back (Matoma Remix)” Links: The literal art of Carlos Beltran Mookie’s bowling celebration, probably Josh Beckett doesn’t know what a stage dive is The world according to Aubrey Huff ~~ Follow Tipping Pitches on Twitter and like us on Facebook Find more great content over at tippingpitches.atavist.com. A LETRA Michael Jackson - Man in the Mirror I'm gonna make a change On once in my life It's gonna feel real good Gonna make a difference Gonna make it right As I turn up the collar on My favorite winter coat This wind is blowing my mind I see the kids in the streets With not enough to eat Who am I to be blind Pretending not to see their needs? A summer disregard A broken bottle top And a one man soul They follow each other on the wind, ya' know 'Cause they got nowhere to go That's why I want you to know I'm starting with the man in the mirror I'm asking him to change his ways And no message could have been any clearer: If you wanna make the world a better place Take a look at yourself and then make a change I've been a victim of a selfish kind of love It's time that I realize That there are some with no home Not a nickel to loan Could it be really me Pretending that they're not alone? A willow deeply scarred Somebody's broken heart And a washed-out dream They follow the pattern of the wind, ya' see 'Cause they got no place to be That's why I'm starting with me I'm starting with the man in the mirror I'm asking him to change his ways And no message could have been any clearer: If you wanna make the world a better place Take a look at yourself and then make a change I'm starting with the man in the mirror (Man in the mirror - oh yeah!) I'm asking him to change his ways (better change!) No message could have been any clearer (If you wanna make the world a better place) (Take a look at yourself and then make the change) (You gotta get it right, while you got the time) ('Cause when you close your heart) You can't close your, your mind! (Then you close your mind!) That man, that man, that man, that man With the man in the mirror (Man in the mirror, oh yeah!) That man, that man, that man I'm asking him to change his ways (better change!) You know... That man No message could have been any clearer If you wanna make the world a better place Take a look at yourself and then make the change I'm gonna make a change It's gonna feel real good Come on! (change) Just lift yourself, you know You've got to stop it, yourself! (Yeah! Make that change!) I've got to make that change, today! (Man in the mirror) You got to, you got to not let yourself, brother (Yeah! - make that change!) You know, I've got to get That man, that man... (man in the mirror) You've got to, you've got to move! Come on! Yome on! you got to Stand up! Stand up! stand up! (Yeah! - make that change) Stand up and lift yourself, now! (Man in the mirror) (Yeah! - make that change!) Gonna make that change. Come on! (man in the mirror) You know it! You know it You know it!

This week, the Pantsless Ones are joined by video games writer and rising YouTube star Erika Szabo. We each brought a topic to talk/preach/rant about from our soapboxes, but before that we of course have Consumption Junction. Erika catches us up on the huge changes in her career since her first appearance on NWP. Then there's Tales of Xillia, the Biggest Sneeze Ever, Angelo's fear of extraterrestrials, and Patrick's love of evil. Julian shakes his head at Wal Mart's poor purchasing skills and rallies back from a week of little to no sleep. Then the group takes to the soapbox. Julian has a lot to say about what a review should be, and urges readers to do their part to understand that reviews are a two way street. Patrick is fearful that bloated triple-A game budgets are stifling developer creativity. Angelo wants to be able to talk to people on the internet in a level headed and mature manner. Lastly, Erika tackles the dreaded "M" word (that's "misogyny" if you haven't been paying attention), and being a feminist that somehow ends up on the wrong side of both sexes. Aquele homem, aquele homem, aquele homem... Com o homem no espelho... (Homem no espelho, oh, sim!) Aquele homem, aquele homem, aquele homem... - Faça a mudança!) Você sabe, preciso entender Aquele homem, aquele homem... (Homem no espelho) Você precisa, você precisa se mexer! Vamos! Vamos! Você tem de... Levantar-se! Levantar-se! Levantar-se! (Sim! (Homem no espelho) (Sim! Faça aquela mudança!) Vou fazer aquela mudança Vamos! (Homem no espelho) Você sabe! Você sabe como! (Mude) Faça aquela mudança
