This is Enneás, You're listening to the Ordinant Cadencia Mix for 2022. A smooth mixed blend of house tracks to bring peace to your world. This journey pays tribute to Muharram, in bringing light to the Month of Peace: Muḥarram (Arabic: ٱلْمُحَرَّم), the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the year when warfare is forbidden. It is held to be the second holiest month after Ramadan. Also known as Muharram-ul-Haram, Muharram is the first month of the Hijri calendar and thus marks the beginning of the Islamic year. It is the only month which Allah's name has been attached to - the Prophet Muhammad (saw) referred to it as ‘the Sacred Month of Allah' - and is thus a highly blessed month. https://muslimhands.org.uk/latest/2020/08/al-muharram The Holy Profit Mohammed Said: “It is incumbent upon a believer to be benevolent to other believers, whether in their presence or their absence.” A Muslim Prayer for Peace: "In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful. Praise be to the Lord of the Universe who has created us and made us into tribes and nations, that we may know each other, not that we may despise each other. If the enemy incline towards peace, do thou also incline towards peace, and trust in God, for the Lord is the one that heareth and knoweth all things. And the servants of God, Most Gracious are those who walk on the Earth in humility, and when we address them, we say “PEACE.”" —Based on the Koran, 49:13, 8:61 https://www.uua.org/worship/words/prayer/muslim-prayer-peace *Album Art courtesy John Hain via Pixabay* *This Set is for promotion purpose only!* *Buy your tracks from any authorized retailers of respect to the artists*

The Supreme Court recently upheld a football coach's right to pray on the 50 yard line after a football game. His freedom to exercise his religious beliefs was protected and not seen, despite being a teacher and public employee, as a separation of church and state problem. KSL Newsradio's Amanda Dickson asked her guests on A Woman's View if the Court would have ruled the same if the coach had been saying a Muslim prayer on the field, if the players had gathered with him to join in a Muslim prayer. Her guests this week include Dr. Laurie Sakaeda, psychologist and founder of A Helping Hoof, and Liz Sollis, Associate Director of Community Engagement for Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation. If you are a follower of one the main religions, it is more than likely that you will have undergone a bathing ritual. Cleansing with water is an integral part of Christian Baptism, Muslim Prayer and Jewish purification. Hindus aspire to bathe in the waters of the River Ganges. Why are rituals in water important to so many faiths? What do they mean? And how do they differ from religion to religion? Joining Ernie to discuss ritual bathing are Dr Diana Lipton (teaching fellow in the department of biblical studies at Tel Aviv University), Sudipta Sen (professor of history at the University of California, Davis and author of 'Ganges: the Many Pasts of an Indian River') and the Venerable Peter Robinson (Dean of Derby whose doctoral thesis was on Christian Initiation focusing on Baptism). Producer: Helen Lee
