In this episode, we welcome Joe Kennedy to the show. He used to be an assistant football coach at a public high school in Bremerton, Washington. After games, he would pray at the 50-yard line by himself. When some coaches and players noticed him doing that, some of them decided to join him at the 50 in prayer after the games. The members of his school board said that they were worried that it would violate the Establishment Clause of the US Constitution, and they tried to force Coach Kennedy to stop praying. He refused. The school responded by not renewing his coaching contract (essentially firing him). He, rightfully, sued the school board, and that fight made its way all the way to the Supreme Court in 2022, where the court ruled in favor of Kennedy, voting 6-3, that the government cannot suppress an individual's expression of religious observance, and if they do so then they are violating the rights to Free Exercise and Free Speech. The 2024 major motion picture “Average Joe” was made about Coach Kennedy and his struggle for religious liberty. In this interview, we discuss all of that in detail and much more. Let's get into it… Episode notes and links HERE. Donate to support our mission of equipping men to push back darkness. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Think of your sales process like a football field. At the 0-yard line, prospects are cold—they don't know you, their problem, or your solution. At the 100-yard line, they're ready to buy. The key to closing sales is understanding where each person is in the sales cycle and moving them to the next yard line. In this episode, I break down the 0-100 yard sales system. Learn how to: Identify where someone is in the sales process. Treat prospects differently at each stage of the journey. Push clients closer to the finish line without overwhelming them. Stop selling too early or too late—get damn good at having the right conversation at the right time. Whether they're at the 20-yard line, the 75-yard line, or ready to cross the finish line, mastering this process will transform your sales game and your coaching business.

Nine-time Emmy winner David Sams sits down with Joe to hear his life story first-hand before the major motion picture, "Average Joe," hits theaters nationwide. Matt and Dennis have just one episode for ya this week as they both prepare to head to the shore of New Jersey to celebrate the Wedding Day of Mateo and Social Media Manager, Lauren. The Giants suck, but they almost won, but we knew they weren't going to. Plus the tiniest of baseball and and a tease for a possible drunk pod.
Welcome to Jersey Guy Sports, your sports talk home for the Yankees, Giants, Rangers and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. I'm your host Don. Thanks for listening. Today I'll be discussing:The NY Giants compete well, but lose in crushing fashion 14-9 to Buffalo Sunday night. The Giants D was valiant and Tyrod Taylor looked capable , but it wasn't enough to overcome the Bills. The Giants were stopped on the 1 yard line at the end of both halves.Jersey Guy Sports information: The Jersey Guy Sports Podcast is available on all podcasting platforms. Hour 2 Boomer is eating a liverwurst sandwich. Boomer also hates the new fair catch rule in the NFL which allows a fair catch anywhere and it places the ball at the 25 yard line. Boomer thinks they are going to add an 18th game at some point in the future. Jerry returns for another update and does a game show with a contestant. The Mets beat the Cubs and Pete Alonso hit another HR. Are there more Mets or Yankees fans here right now? There are more Yankees fans. There are more Rangers fans than Devils bans but not a huge amount. Buck SHOWALTER talked about Pete Alonso continuing to hit HRs. SHOWALTER is as boring as Aaron Boone now. The Yankees lost to the Orioles. Clarke Schmidt thought he did a decent job in the loss. The Celtics have life winning their second straight to get the series to 3-2. In the final segment of the hour, we did some Q&A.
It's an early Spring Break hiatus for us this week - but not before sitting down for a very fun interview with CFL America blog/podcast publisher and friend-of-the-show Greg James - as a guest on his popular Sports History Network podcast "From the 55 Yard Line." Tim and Greg go deep into the origin story of Good Seats Still Available, as well as a veritable audio potpourri of hot takes on what we've learned from doing the show over the course of nearly 300 episodes - and where we think pro football (and sports generally) might be headed in the years ahead. Please enjoy this conversation we recorded a few weeks back - and be sure to check out all the other great podcasts across the Sports History Network!

The Supreme Court ruled today on a case about prayer in public schools. So what does that, and other recent judicial opinions, mean for "freedom of religion"? On Today's Show:A series of recent Supreme Court cases, including the right to abortion, privileges the religious freedoms of Christians. In episode 51 of Elite Seekers, we give you the 6th installment of the #ELITEregion series. This week @TheBenEby visits the “50-yard line of America” to find you speed, speed, and more speed! The region we reviewed included Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. The theme? BLAZING SPEED. High school class of 2023 QBs Avery Johnson and Reed Harris both will clock around 4.5 40 times. The RB, John Randle II, has the bloodline to be a superstar. At WR, Cole Adams will blow the off of whatever defense he sees and there is a reason Alabama wants him. And lastly at TE, how about a Dawson Knox clone who loves to block guys into the dirt? The moral of the story is that this region could be equally good at forming a track team as they will be on the gridiron! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
