This week I will be highlighting The Poverty Mentality and how I have personally seen it take a toll on my life as a first-generation Latina grad student. Furthermore, the whole concept of being an academic with a personality I feel really needs to be highlighted for all of us who work so hard to pave the way and may need reassurance and an amiga to tell them that they are doing a great job!
