Furthermore, we address the nightmare inducing art direction. This includes Jack Pumpkinhead, an obvious inspiration for Jack Skellington. In news, Brandi adopts a new life path which requires us to cook more often. Also, she receives a promotion within STARFLEET International. In reviews, we watch Peacemaker and Vox Machina, both violent and vulgar yet entertaining television programs. Additionally, we talk video games. Brandi plays the adorable Cat Quest. Meanwhile, Dave climbs his way up from the bottom in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The Dark Track is Nightmare by The Glass House Museum from Tales From The Aftermath. This British gothic rock band features Joe and Jon Cummings on guitars and vocals as well as Lee Meadows, DJ Batboy Slim himself, on bass. Finally, we shout out our friends, Lt. Welcome to episode 81! In this episode, I have the honor of interviewing Deacon Mir Plemmons. Chaplain Mir Plemmons is a brand-new Deacon in the Ecumenical Catholic Communion and a Novice of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans. He has been a Franciscan for 28 years and has served as a chaplain for 34 years. He and his wife live *almost* far enough from Seattle to enjoy the natural terrain Washington has to offer, and he teaches high school special education. He does disaster mental health as a Field Traumatologist. He has extensively taught socio-emotional skills. He is a writer and an editor and serves and advocates for Intersex, QUILTBAG+, and Science Fiction & Fantasy Fandom. He volunteers extensively in multiple organizations including, but not limited to, the Society for Creative Anachronism, Civil Air Patrol, and Okanogan Fire Protection District 12. He tries hard to pay attention to his wife’s reminders to get enough self-care and rest to at least not be a bad example… Links: Convergent Streams: The Premier ISM Magazine. The Fandom Experience. When it comes to experiencing the different levels of fandom of The Next Generation, it's safe to say that "the sky's the limit." Darren, Phillip, and Daniel explore the various ways of expressing TNG and general Star Trek fandom. They talk cosplaying (even including wearing a blue shirt!), attending Trek/general scifi & comic conventions, and what it's like to be members of a fan association like Starfleet International (www.sfi.org). Darren and Phillip share their personal SFI experiences, including the various types of chapters and methods of membership.Earl Grey also discusses their own Trek game experiences, including the trio playing Star Trek Scene-It, the Last Unicorn version of a TNG tabletop role-playing game, #BridgeMates, and Star Trek: The Next Generation Interactive VCR Board Game: A Klingon Challenge. They also speculate on what the official Earl Grey fan club would look like, what it would be called, and imagine their Mirror Universe Star Wars podcast. So grab that Starfleet uniform from the closet, purchase your con ticket, and update your Next Gen RPG character sheet as Earl Grey tackles the fandom experience.
