Background - We first want to say that we do not want to minimize anyone's problems or challenges. They are real, and they can be difficult. The other thing to keep in mind is that no matter who you are, no one escapes the challenges of life. Rich, poor, black, white, urban, rural, Christian, atheist, it doesn't matter, we all have problems. Having problems reveals a deeper side of ourselves that many of us would like to keep hidden. Problems actually can have benefits. In the moment they may seem overwhelmingly painful, but over time we often can see good on the other side. Advice - Recognize and accept that mankind lives in a fallen world where God has allowed bad things to happen. He allows us free will and we can and have rejected His ways. Therefore, we have separated ourselves from him and for that we will suffer the natural consequences. Disease, selfishness, broken relationships, greed, war, etc…Ask the right questions when you're in a bad time. Not, “Why me?”, but rather, “What can I learn from this?”, “What is my part in this?”, “What can I do about this?”Problems can trigger us into victimhood or empowerment, we decide!1 Timothy 6:12 “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”Problems offer us a great opportunity to get closer to God and rest on him. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances..." “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” Problems can be handled intentionally or not. When handled with intention we become more in tune with our resourcefulness, our need for others, our human weaknesses, our strength of faith, and our ability to persevere. Psalm 9:9 “The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.”Problems actually make us stronger - “whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger”Problems can and should help us to understand that God wants our heart!Psalm 55:22 “Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”Undoubtedly, we can all share our stories of hardship. But no matter the story, we are called and encouraged to seek and honor God. The pain we suffer on this earth will be erased and replaced with pure joy in heaven. This is the motivation to have hope and look to the future. Without this hope, our problems are truly life ending. Challenge - Take some time this week to actively think about your blessings. Certain people, faith, opportunities, health, wealth, home, whatever it is that you consider a blessing, take time to focus on those things and practice having gratitude in the storms. https://rocksolidfamilies.orgSupport the show#Rocksolidfamilies, #familytherapy, #marriagecounseling, #parenting, #faithbasedcounseling, #counseling, #Strongdads, #coaching, #lifecoach, #lifecoaching, #marriagecoaching, #marriageandfamily, #control, #security, #respect, #affection, #love, #purpose, #faith, #affairs, #infidelity

Burn the manifestation guide and step away from the affirmations. Here are some unusual but realistic ways to build happiness, wonder and gratitude for the world around you. We all know we "should" build more gratitude if we want to be happier. You may have heard of gratitude journalling or even be practising it. Today we explore ideas that aren't spoken about but make a difference to your baseline enjoyment of life. Some themes we highlight: The recurring problem with goals Fighting the natural focus on flaws Building a polymathic curiosity Raising our baseline everyday gratitude Zero affirmations Whether you are highly sceptical of the positive or spiritual aspects of gratitude or just fed up with the endless bad news. It can feel hard to feel grateful when things seem so overwhelmingly difficult but this episode will teach you two ways to fight our focus on flaws and see reality with greater clarity. Host, Commissioner and despondent man Zach Osowski is back with more fantasy football entertainment. He recaps his own personal hell on Thursday and yells about Sean Payton and his insane usage of Courtland Sutton. Then more gambling and Zach talks himself into OBJ for his DFS lineup.
In this episode, Bryan and Kristen discuss how their son is on a poor flag football team with a lot of kids who don't care, and share why they believe their son would learn more if he were on a team with really athletic kids. Life Level 1 is a general topic podcast about life from the humorous perspective of Bryan and his broad, Kristen. Bryan has a background in video game development and Kristen has a background in life. The thoughts and opinions expressed on this podcast are those of the individual contributors alone and are not a reflection of their employers.

In this week's bite-size Seven Figure Secrets episode, I'm talking about business growth plans for your seven figure business (and why aiming for 10% growth in 2024 is a sucky goal!). Maintaining revenue is an achievement and all growth is good, but 10% growth goals result in a slow journey to seven figures when in all likelihood, as a consultant you could get there in 2-3 years or less. Tune in to find out more, be inspired by your seven figure self, and discover playing with the variable of speed. Quotes: “It's not a race, we don't have to be in a rush, but why go in the slow lane when there are better options available?” “Entrepreneurs want consistent, predictable revenue. They want the equivalent paycheck they are used to getting in corporate. But then if you get a big growth bump in revenue in 1 quarter of the year, are we then saying this is a bad thing because it didn't show up in 4 equal pieces? Of course not!” Useful Links The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Business – Free Download The Seven Figures Club Get in touch with Jessica to discuss your consulting business Download the entire Seven Figure Consultant mini-season Submit your questions for this season's Q&A episode Leave a rating and review for the Seven Figure Consultant Podcast Jessica's LinkedIn

If you have years of your life you would prefer to forget, relationships or lifestyle choices that make you cringe when you look back at them, Laura will empower you to reframe your life story, and possibly share it with others. As Laura says, what is the fun in reading about other people's success, when you can read about the juicy details of their struggles before they finally made it. After laughing your way through the chapters of Laura's life, go to Talkingshrimp.com, where Laura will teach you how to write copy that people actually want to read. Laura has classes and online materials that teach you how to write email lines that people want to open, and how to stop boring people with your writing.
