German indie alternative rock duo Para Lia will be releasing their latest album "In Clash With The Zeitgeist" on August 25, 2023 via the Berlin label About Us Records. "In Clash With The Zeitgeist" was mastered by Thommy Hein (Die Ärzte, Nina Hagen, Udo Lindenberg ) which blends their love for the late 80s and early 90s indie rock with some 60s influences, psychedelic, garage rock and early prog rock elements. For their love of Greece, their band name is Para Lia, meaning "coast" or "beach" in Greek (παραλία) -a name full of mystery but optimism, which both has history and evokes a balance of the masculine and feminine. Para Lia is multi-instrumentalist René Methner and vocalist  Cindy Methner.For this duo, symbolism and lyricism are of importance. Their second single,'Yellow Rose' is an ode to losing a loved one who can never be forgotten and keeping a piece of them in your heart. Unser erstes Album "Generation Depression" behandelt das Thema seelische Gesundheit, da wir selbst bzw. teilweise mit Depressionen zu kämpfen hatten / haben und durch die offene Kommunikation darüber erfahren haben, wie viele im Bekannten & Freundeskreis eigentlich damit zu kämpfen haben. Ich selber lebe mit einer Bipolaren Störung und habe immer wieder Depressive Episoden (Jona). Uns liegt die Entstigmatisierung zu dem Thema sehr am Herzen. 2022 geht es weiter und nicht nur mit ein paar Songs: Wir gehen auf's Ganze, alle 3 Wochen kommt ein neuer Track. "I’m of the opinion that every mix I make has its own story, because the selections are not made randomly. I’ve heard many artists give advice on how to create mixes based on where you need to play them, if you are in a club or on a radio. Gain experience is important, but these are things that annoy me because it always seems that there’s someone who has to dictate the rules when, instead, my thought is that everyone can play what they want and when they want, with the awareness of being able to accept diversity, which also applies to listeners. I mean, I’ve started booking myself with radios and stuff like that on the internet because I just want to share my feelings and thoughts throught music selections and this could help me to travel and meet a lot of new people, ‘cause I don’t want my life to be only here in Naples / Italy where people are absolutely closed minded (or they apparently act like open minded). 
So that’s why you will find Future Beats (with R&B/Trap influences) + Baile Funk vibes in this mix. However, we have a lot of time to change things and work on ourselves also because of this pandemic situation, enjoy the bass sound experience as I would enjoy it." Luca Capaldo (RDSBD) is an independent DJ / music selector born and based in Naples.
He defines himself as a music lover since childhood, thanks to his older brother Vincenzo who has always put him in contact with different forms of art. His feelings with music started with Rap / Hip-Hop from the early 2000’s accompained by his basketball passion, and a lot of Rock music with Indie/Alternative influences.
When he met SANS in 2013 he was introduced to the SoundCloud world and FutureBeats, Baile-Funk productions and everything related to that world (which are now his main influences). This changed his point of view on music tastes.
In 2017 he joined the Neapolitan collective SUEDE, starting to write articles and musical reviews, moving later on the mixing and the art of DJing (following the same passion of his brother).
After deciding to publish his mixes on SoundCloud and trying to create connections with artist from all over the world, he made his first appearance with a Guest-Mix on Night Swim Radio (now based in Portugal) and later on NAS RADIO SHOW (Brazil), FutureSound (Bordeaux), 0106.FM (Los Angeles), Source Radio (Paris), Dylerz (Paris), CHRYSALISM RADIO (South Africa) and Early Bird Radio (Maryland). Episode 31: San Antonio Women of Rock Volume 1This episode, we're focusing on some great San Antonio bands with female vocalists. Huge shout out to Nina Diaz of Girl in a Coma who's already in the studio recording her solo album and another shout out to Phanie and Jenn from Girl in a Coma for starting their riot girl side project, Fea. This doesn't mean the band's breaking up, just exploring new things. Honestly, I'm hopeful in the idea that this means that they're using these projects to work things out creatively and return to Girl in a Coma refreshed and raring to go. Now, I've got to apologize that there won't be any GIAC songs in this episode, but I don't have any releases to play them on the show. It seems to me that when a band is on a label, it makes it that much more difficult to work with them. This isn't a reflection on the band, just the process and red tape that comes with dealing with legal entities and people who are trying to watch their backs and are being use to getting taken advantage of. I'm planning on trying to work with the Girls during their time in these side projects, which are unrelated to GIAC, which means they are independent from any label or record exec issues. I know the girls would be down, they're really down to earth and want what every other musician wants, to be heard.I know I've been saying this for almost a month now, but the changes that are coming are still moving along very slowly. No biggie though, it just means I can build up the excitement for when it does happen. One thing that might start happening that I haven't mentioned are on air song or album reviews.
