What Are You Thinking About? Psalm 40:17 & Philippians 4:8 26 January 2025 - Sunday Morning Dr. Brad Weniger, Pastor
We are excited to be back with a brand new episode featuring Legendary Radio Host, Voice Over Artist, and new Filmmaker Gerald McBride. He recently directed and produced the new film entitled, "Black Ice: The Rhythm" which is powerful story of redemption and second chances that is centered around the sport of hockey. Gerald was inspired to write this story as way to promote the sport of hockey in the urban community. The film is currently playing in the Imagine Theatres in the Metro Detroit Area, and the Riviera Theatre in Farmington, Michigan. The movie will be playing in theatres until June 13th. It is definitely a MUST SEE! In addition, to our interview we decided to go back in our archives and pull out of one of our favorite Thoughts of the Weeks to share with you as apart of this week's show. This week's Thought ask the question, "What Are You Thinking About," which in many ways is the mantra for our podcast. We endeavor to give you something positive, motivating and empowering to think about in every episode of the show. What drives and inspires us, is our desire to inspire others. And, that's what sets our podcast apart, because the Bible says,"...as a man thinketh in his heart so is he." We want this show to be the impetus for positive thinking, we in turn becomes the reality of positive actions. This is who we are, and this is why we do this show. We hope you enjoy this week's show, the interview, the thought and we even have a few surprises in store for you as well. What Are You Thinking About? (broadcast date: 05/23/2021)
HOW MUCH TIME HAVE YOU SPENT THINKING ABOUT YOUR COME BACK AFTER THE GLOBAL SHIFT OF COVID 19? The question should not be “Will I mount a come back when all this isolation is over?”, but rather, “How will I mount a comeback when this is all over?” Some are focused only on how to make money in lean times. Some are focused on the fear of contracting the disease. Some are focused on the loss of life, finances, status, opportunity. Some are focused on the suspected “bigger agenda.” I believe the wisest are those who are focused on becoming a better version of themself in this season. Like my friend Cheri Garcia in this video she shared on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/cherigarcia_stayinghome-ugcPost-6650840991563595777-kvBx) We all have opportunity to grow, to learn, to improve in this season. We have all been given an incredible opportunity to slow down and smell the roses. We have all been challenged, pushed, pressed and restrained to GUARD OUR OWN LIVES! What if we applied this opportunity to BECOMING BETTER, a better friend, a better spouse, a better leader, a better employee, A BETTER HUMAN in this season? John Maxwell says, “Its not experience which makes us wise, it experience we take time to reflect on that makes us wise.” WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT in this time of isolation? It's March; and it's Women's History Month and boy do we kick this month off with a BANG with the debut of Christian Rapper & Spoken Word Artist Ty Scott King's new single "Shine." We talk about Christian Hop, and the direction the genre is headed, who she likes, we even talk Fred Hammond & "Ye." That's right! A lot on the docket during this interview, but we always love when Ty comes through, because not only are debuting her new single, but she also dropped some doped poetry on us in honor of "Women's History Month." The poem is called "Queen," and it is definitely an empowering and motivating word of encouragement for every woman that tune's into this show.
