She discusses her interest in performance and achievement from a young age and how it led her to start her own coaching practice. Dr. Fowler defines performance science as the collection of ideas and research that help individuals achieve their goals. She highlights two key principles of performance science: brutal focus and cultivating power. Cultivating power involves developing the ability to start and sustain efforts towards a goal, as well as continuously improving and iterating on one's approach. In this conversation, Carla Fowler, MD PhD, discusses the principles of performance science and how they can be applied to personal and professional growth. Some of you remember how the Sony Walkman made listening to recordings conveniently easy and is a good example of maximizing your potential. It was revolutionary to listen on a portable cassette player and the Walkman happened because Masaru Ibuka and Norio Ohga took the risk to revolutionize the way people listened to music. Sony was concerned about the marketability of a portable audio device as well as miniaturizing the necessary technology for high-quality sound. Would people be willing to pay for such a device? It's a good thing they forged ahead as it revolutionized the way we were able to access media. Get full article here: https://goalsforyourlife.com/maximizing-your-potential J.K. Rowling is another example of someone who faced significant challenges. Her inspiring story is another demonstration of maximizing your potential. As a single mother living on welfare, she never gave up on her dream of being a writer. She spent hours and hours working on her manuscript for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in local cafes, pouring her imagination and creativity into the magical world she envisioned. Because she didn't quit, even after a number of rejections, she ended up achieving tremendous success as a best-selling author as well as gained the freedom to support charitable causes. Maximizing your potential largely relies on the actions you take that are aligned with your core beliefs and values. Those values, when fleshed out, lead to a strong purpose-driven life. (see Appendix in Stop Circling book: https://amzn.to/3NTdM6t) To develop that purpose in maximizing your potential, we cover five principles: belief in yourself, continuous learning, setting clear goals, developing resilience and adaptability and consistent habits and routines. Hey Misfit Entrepreneurs! Welcome to this special episode of the Misfit Entrepreneur. I recently took some time off and did an Ironman race in Hawaii as well as spent time there with family to recharge and get some R&R. I promised myself that I would set aside work as much as I could while I was there and focus in on having a good time and digging into a number of books I've had on my stack. But rest assured, we'll be caught up on episodes over the next few weeks. I spent a lot of time reading some of my favorite fiction spy novels by others like Jack Slater, James Rollins, and Saul Herzog. But I also spent a good amount of time digging in on 2 books on health and how to optimize all areas of yourself to increase your quality of life. Those 2 books are Life Force by Tony Robbins and Why We Sleep by Mathew Walker and I want share some of the best health hacks I took for maximizing your potential and success in this episode. Matthew 25:14-29 NLT14 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone.15 He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip.16 “The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more. 17 The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more.18 But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master's money.19 “After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money. 20 The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came forward with five more and said, ‘Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.'21 “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!'22 “The servant who had received the two bags of silver came forward and said, ‘Master, you gave me two bags of silver to invest, and I have earned two more.'23 “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!'24 “Then the servant with the one bag of silver came and said, ‘Master, I knew you were a harsh man, harvesting crops you didn't plant and gathering crops you didn't cultivate. 25 I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back.'26 “But the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn't plant and gathered crops I didn't cultivate, 27 why didn't you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.'28 “Then he ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver. 29 To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. How Diamonds are made: Diamond formation occurs when carbon deposits deep within the earth(approximately 90 to 125 miles below the surface) are subject to high temperature and pressure. Some stones take shape in a matter of days or months, while others take millions of years to materialize. Notable Quotes: "What is most alarming to me is that we're willing to absorb so much pressure from outside forces like work but shy away from the pressure needed to be successful in our health." "We put health on the back burner while the other pressures in life subside - which it never will, by the way, meanwhile life passes us by." "The rent of your health and fitness is due every day." "If it feels like you're going in circles, it's probably because you're cutting corners." "A positive cycle of self-motivation and results starts with you owning your health." Maximizing Your Potential Through the Power of the Internet and Social Media - Minute Mondays EP_88 The Internet and social media is not going away. And the more you try to avoid it doesn't mean that it's going to go away. So you can look at it as an opportunity or you can look at it as something that's holding you back. Either case, you can get on the bandwagon and prosper and find your opportunity. Using social media platforms, using the Internet to better yourself and your business. Or you can live in the dark ages and keep doing what you're doing and hopes that you're going to keep getting the results you're getting or better. More than likely, what will happen is you will start to notice a decline in everything, because if you're not growing, you are dying. And that is the typical response to everything. So always look for opportunities. Look for ways to improve. Look for ways to grow. Social media with the internet is the tool of 2022, 2023, and beyond. So look for the opportunities grow. Thanks for watching this episode of Mondays.

A coach can help you set goals and figure out a plan to achieve them. They can also provide guidance and support as you navigate your career journey. If you need to figure out whether coaching is right for you, Misty suggests taking a chance and giving it a try. After all, what do you have to lose? Coaching is all about helping individuals reach their goals, and that means tailoring the coaching process to fit each person's needs. One-size-fits-all coaching approaches simply don't work because everyone is different. That's why it's essential to have a coaching process that is all about the individual and not just a cookie-cutter process that looks at what the individual needs to be more relevant. When coaching is all about the individual, it helps the person reach their goals faster and more effectively.

It is crucial always to know your place and your vocation. For example, a great agent does not need to be part of a 200-agent team. Just because a team has 200 agents does not automatically mean the company is better than yours. Therefore, it is essential to know your strengths and engage in self-evaluation. Brian Charlesworth joins Ryan O'Neill, The founder of the Minnesota Real Estate Team of RE/MAX Advantage Plus. In 2021, the team closed over 2200 transactions and 750 million in sales. With almost 200 agents, the team continues to be the Number 1 Selling Real Estate Team in Minnesota every year from 2006 through today. Among the most crucial pieces of advice, Ryan emphasizes how he always encourages his agents, partners, and people to focus on what they can control daily. In addition, according to him, one of the most common problems that can affect performance is overthinking, which leads to a lack of confidence in being bold and taking action. So, the more we focus on the efforts we put forth daily, rather than worrying about the noise, meaning the media, market conditions, and predictions, the better. This is what will make a difference in the long run. Tune in to learn about the current real estate space and how you can maintain a strong position using Ryan's insights. This episode is for any woman who wants to be certain she is living, loving and serving others to her greatest God-given capacity and potential. As I read "Maximizing Your Potential" by Myles Munroe, I was struck with the realization that we often unknowingly play smaller than what God intended. My goal is that by the end of this podcast episode you will start to question what you've previously believed you were capable of and start asking yourself… What else do I have in me? What else might God have for me to experience and give? I know you are a leader and a visionary. Your vision is SO BIG there is no doubt in your mind that it was God provided. Me too! And yet, Myles Munroe provided such a powerful example of being conditioned to play small that I had to share. When we become more aware, we get to dive deeper into our personal relationship with God and our understanding of what He wants for us. I hope you find this episode helpful. I would love to hear your thoughts on this episode. What was your biggest takeaway? You can share on social media and tag me (Rebecca Tabbert on FB and IG) and/or go to www.rebeccatabbert.com and you will find a couple of ways to connect with me there. If you are a Christian women entrepreneur and you'd like to know what it might be like to work together please go to www.rebeccatabbert.com/kingdomfitacademy, enter your email address and you will be given the opportunity to book a 20 minute next step call.
