Tuesday is primary election day in Missouri and Kansas and we'll offer up who's running in the biggest races. In national politics, a Kamala ally apparently leaked her VP choice this weekend. It's a clown show. Thanks to a listener, we're encouraging everyone to start a new trend supporting no tax on tips. Disgraced former coach Jon Gruden, dressed in Chiefs coaching clothes, was on the field with the team this weekend in St. Joe. We'll tell you why. Morgan Wallen wore a #7 Chiefs jersey for his show at Arrowhead Friday night where there was nothing but drama surrounding the event. Of course he knows it's Butker's jersey but there is more to this story. MJ Melendez doesn't get a lot of hits but when he does, they seem to be HUGE. None bigger than pinch hitting in the 9th inning on Sunday. Scottie Scheffler cries his eyes out after winning the gold in golf and a famous singer punishes his fantasy football league losers by making them sing on stage.... and they can't sing at all.

There will be no easing into the new season for the Wellington Phoenix when they open their 2020/21 A-League football campaign tonight. After their best regular-season finish in 2019/20, Wellington welcome defending champions Sydney FC to their temporary home of WIN Stadium in Wollongong. The Sky Blues were the only side the Phoenix didn't beat last season, losing twice and drawing the other meeting between the two.But head coach Ufuk Talay - who joined Wellington from Sydney FC at the start of last season - is undaunted by that record."Last season we played our best games against Sydney," Talay said."We play a very similar style. We let them go a couple of times when we had them by the throat."Sydney are a very settled squad - they've had the same squad for quite a while - but it's a great occasion to play the champions in the first game."The boys will definitely be up for it. We're very excited and can't wait to start."Covid-19 has forced the Phoenix to relocate to Wollongong, 90km south of Sydney, and while there's hope they may play some games in New Zealand if a transtasman travel bubble opens, plans are in place to stay in Australia until June. But in a marked change from last season, where the side also lived across the Tasman to complete their campaign, the players and coaching staff have sourced their own accommodation as they try to create as much normality as possible. Several have their wives or partners with them, with the likes of David Ball and Luke DeVere shifting their families to Wollongong. On the field, Talay has had to deal with the departures of a quartet of key players from last season with defenders Libby Cacace and Steven Taylor, midfielder Matti Steinmann and striker Gary Hooper all gone, along with utilities Callan Elliot and Callum McCowatt. The Phoenix mentor has proven himself to be a canny recruiter though, and has brought seasoned Israeli striker Tomer Hemed and age-group Australian international Josh Laws to the club, along with Kiwi Clayton Lewis and young attacker Mirza Muratovic. James McGarry and Matthew Ridenton also return for a second spell. Some of the standouts from last season in All Whites goalkeeper Stefan Marinovic, dependable defender DeVere, combative midfielder Cam Devlin, Mexican star Ulises Davila and workhorse English attacker Ball are all back. One area where Talay wants to see improvement is in front of goal, with Wellington scoring just 38 goals in 27 games last season."We created a lot of scoring opportunities last season," noted Talay."If we can be more clinical this season - whether that's against Sydney or any other team - we'll be headed in the right direction."Talay's tenure as Phoenix coach could hardly have started in worse fashion, with Wellington losing their first four matches last season. But a nine-game unbeaten run, and a stretch of 16 matches during which they lost just twice, propelled the Phoenix to third on the ladder before Covid hit. Wellington were being talked about as title contenders, but failed to recapture that form when the season resumed and dipped out in week one of the finals."Pre-season has been good, playing some A-League opponents," said Talay."Also, not having to start from scratch has been very important to us, building on what we achieved last season."Having the core of the group has helped to continue the work we did last season and the new players have settled in very quickly."They're new faces but they've played alongside each other in the All Whites."Whether Hemed is fit enough to start the opening game remains to be seen, with the 34-year-old joining his new side from quarantine less than three weeks ago.New captain Davila may also be short of match fitness, having isolated upon his return. The Mexican was a pre-Covid standout last season and if he can recapture the form that saw him talked about as a potential Johnny Warren medallist, he'll again be a key cog in the side's attacking arsenal. The only player d...

The Crusaders will wear the unusual title of curtain-raisers in round seven of the Super Rugby season, with their match against the Sunwolves relocated out of Japan due to concerns from the global coronavirus outbreak. The Crusaders were scheduled to meet the Japanese franchise in Tokyo on March 14, but will now play at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, prior to the Reds' match against the Bulls. This follows the Japanese government's decision to postpone sporting events in the country for at least the next two weeks and ongoing concerns around the world, including within Super Rugby territories, of the potential further spread of the coronavirus. The Sunwolves' round six clash against the Brumbies, scheduled to be played in Osaka next Sunday, has also been relocated. The match will now take place at WIN Stadium in Wollongong and will be played prior to the Chiefs' match against the Waratahs at the same venue next Friday.Addressing the situation, Super Rugby chief executive Andy Marinos said in a statement it was clear the changes needed to be made to ensure the wellbeing of players, management teams, officials and spectators."For the integrity of the tournament we also believe relocating the matches was the right thing to do regardless of the complexities involved," Marinos said."Due to the fact that the Sunwolves were due in Australia for two matches following the Brumbies and Crusaders matches in Japan, and the availability of stadiums and suitable broadcast windows, the matches have been relocated to Australia. This has enabled us to create a series of double-header matches which we hope will prove popular with rugby fans in Wollongong and Brisbane."The relocation of these matches has involved an incredible amount of detailed logistical and operational work and these efforts reflect the great spirit within the rugby family at times like these."No decisions have been made at the stage in regards to the Sunwolves' remaining four fixtures scheduled to be played in Asia.

The Kiwis will get their long awaited re-match against Mate Ma'a Tonga at Mt Smart Stadium next June and will play the first of two home tests against Great Britain in a triple-header clash at Eden Park in November.New Zealand will face off against Tonga mid-season in the opening game of the inaugural Oceania Cup tournament on June 22, in the first meeting between the two sides since Tonga's upset quarter-final win over the Kiwis in Hamilton at the 2017 World Cup.The match will be a double-header with the Kiwi Ferns women's side also set to take on a yet to be confirmed Pacific Island team.Following the end of the NRL season, the Michael Maguire-coached Kiwis will head across to Australia to play the world champion Kangaroos at Wollongong's WIN Stadium on October 25.That test will be the first transtasman clash since New Zealand scored a boil-over victory against their green and gold rivals in Auckland last October. The double-header bill will also feature a test between the Kiwi Ferns and Australian Jillaroos.Kiwi-based Tongan fans will have a second chance to see their team in action when they play Great Britain at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton on October 26, in the opening test of the Lions tour of New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. The Lions visit will be their first tour down under since 2006, with current England coach Wayne Bennett to also oversee the composite side.Eden Park will then host a triple-header on November 2, headlined by the Kiwis first encounter with Great Britain, following two Oceania Cup tests between Australia and Tonga - in a re-match of last November's sell-out match in Auckland - and Samoa lining up against Fiji. The Kiwis will then head to Christchurch Stadium a week later for their second and final test against the Lions, in another double-header that will also see Papua New Guinea face off against Fiji in their Oceania Cup clash.Confirmation of the Kiwis calendar addresses longstanding complaints from local fans that, outside of the 2017 World Cup, have only had one opportunity per year to see the national side in action on these shores since the 2014 Four Nations."Our rugby league community in New Zealand has been hoping for more international and Kiwi fixtures in our backyard for a while now so I'm pleased we'll be able to deliver on this for them," said New Zealand Rugby League CEO Greg Peters."The Kiwis versus Tonga at Mt Smart Stadium will be a blockbuster occasion to kick off a momentous year for international rugby league fans in New Zealand."The Lions will not meet the Kangaroos on this tour and instead will head to Papua New Guinea to play a one-off test in Port Moresby on November 16."The return of the famous Great Britain jersey is something people have been talking about for a long time so this is an exciting announcement for us," said Rugby Football League chief executive Ralph Rimmer."It's 12 years since Great Britain last played a test, and 13 since they last travelled to the southern hemisphere, for the Tri-Nations series of 2006."There is such history and tradition around that Great Britain shirt, it's great to have it back and we'll be committed to respecting and honouring that tradition."The Oceania Cup will see Pool A sides (New Zealand, Australia, and Tonga) compete for the Oceania Cup trophy, while Pool B teams (Samoa, Fiji and Papua New Guinea) fight for promotion into Pool A in 2020.2019 international rugby league scheduleJune 22: Mt Smart Stadium, AucklandKiwis v Tonga (Oceania Cup Pool A)Kiwi Ferns v TBCJune 22: Campbelltown Stadium, SydneySamoa v PNG (Oceania Cup Pool B)Fiji v Cook IslandsOctober 25: WIN Stadium, WollongongAustralia v Kiwis (Oceania Cup Pool B)Jillaroos v Kiwi FernsOctober 26: Waikato Stadium, HamiltonTonga v Great Britain (Lions tour)November 2: Eden Park, AucklandKiwis v Great Britain first test (Lions tour)Australia v Tonga (Oceania Cup Pool A)Samoa v Fiji (Oceania Cup Pool B)November 9: Christchurch StadiumKiwis v Great Bri...
The Warriors have finally got their monkey off the back and have won their first game at WIN Stadium against the Dragons with a 18-12 win, after being in front at Half Time 18-0. Here is how our team of Julian Daw, Gary Belcher and Laurie Daley saw the clash.
Scott grew up suffering my from depression, low self esteem and insecurity after his parents divorced when he was 6. He felt inferior to the other kids whose parents were still together, and always compared himself to others finding any reason to make another person better than him. He didn't know how to make himself feel good and felt as if he didn't have positive role models in his life. In high school and university he suffered from anxiety, stress and pressure. In particular social anxiety where he was constantly feeling shy, awkward, uncomfortable, unconfident, and fearing rejection. After completing his degree in Exercise Science at Wollongong University, he found himself emotionally trapped in running his first gym. Not knowing how to get out or find genuine help he ended up with severe depression as the business didn't work out how he imagined it would. He lacked emotional intelligence, business skills, communication skills and basic life skills. From there he started his journey to find help. Psychologist/ psychiatrists/ life coaches/ nlp practitioners/ reiki coaches , you name it no one could get him emotionally get him to where he wanted to be, and this led him to feeling frustrated, helpless and hopeless. From there he started partying a lot. He would party for days. It was the only way he knew how to feel confident, happy and relaxed. But, he paid the price dealing with the come downs and numbing himself to life. He then attempted to work and train all week at his gym. Needless to say, he suffered, his business suffered, his clients suffered, and eventually he ended up leaving the lot as his ego had the better of him and his addictions took over his life. He moved interstate and then overseas, only having to be flown home not long after by his family after being rushed to hospital in an ambulance suffering severe panic attacks. He was emotionally more out of control than ever. After returning home to Australia he decided he needed help. He was in and out hospitals seeing more doctors/psychs/counsellors no one could help him. He was lost. He was now at a point in his life where he had to face up to facts. He had an unresolved court case in Victoria where he flew down on his own accord to hand himself in and have his court date re set, only to be arrested and jailed for 18 months for drugs charges. He had finally hit his rock bottom. He felt incredible amounts of guilt for what he had put his family and friends through over the past 5 years. He was scared, intimidated and fearful for his life, not knowing what to expect. It was the first time in his life, he was all alone. He had to think for himself to survive. At this point he realised he didn't know how his mind worked, he didn't know who he was or what his purpose in life was meant to be. At this point he found a spiritual teacher in there. She teaches small business courses but teaches more about life and life skills to those who would listen. His way of thinking had led him to that place, he didn't want to be there, and he didn't want to go back, so he listened and implemented everything she taught him. She helped him realise that there is no difference between being in jail emotionally and being in jail in reality. If he wanted to free him himself of jail he needed to learn how to do it emotionally first. At this point Scott created a method that he uses today, that switches off and releases negative emotions out your body. He was amazed how powerful it was and how quickly it worked. He showed his teacher the method, it worked for her too! She said Scotty your onto something very powerful here you need to get it out there and help people with this, the world we live in needs a lot of healing and more healers like you. So from that day Scott realised his life's purpose is to get his method out there and help people. Scott has been out for 4 years now. In that time he has set up a business and helped many people with mental health and emotional issues, relationship issues, performance coaching for athletes, body and wellbeing transformations, the lot! Scott has a degree in Exercise Science, cert 3 & 4 in Fitness and Personal Training, is a qualified reiki practitioner and has his cert 4 in Training & Assessment. Scott has helped emotionally transform the lives of hundreds of people in The Sutherland Shire, and Australia wide, in his 1 on 1 private consultations, workshops, seminars and retreats. He has been a presenter at Seminars & Workshops on his area of expertise for the following: -Men's Mental Health & Wellbeing at Orana Hub Coastal Caringbah in 2015 -Cyber Bullying at Concord Library 2015 -Mental Health & Wellbeing Workshop at Tradies Gymea in The Sutherland Shire 2016 -CPC Psychic Expo at WIN Stadium in Wollongong 2016 -Psychic Expo at Sutherland Serviceman's Club 2016 Scott believes in leading by example because actions speak louder than words. He says to have credibility in the eye of another, you must possess the qualities that those who follow want for themselves. He follows this by stating if a teacher does their job properly, the student will overtake the teacher and take the learnings to the next level. Scott's goals that he has achieved since hitting rock bottom in jail are inspiring. He symbolises motivation, inspiration, overcoming adversity and leadership.
