When Archer finds a new species of Xindi in the database, he takes a shuttlepod down to the last Sears Garden Center they visited to see what he can learn from their ship. But when the away team starts mutating and goons with flamethrowers show up to contain the infected, Phlox uses T'Pol's resistance to create an antidote. Which beverage requires trust? What's more desperate than finger gruel? Who always ruins a good dream? It's the episode with a soft descent into meeting. When the Entrepreneur is flying Winnie the Poo style through the expanse, anomalies bring them out of warp near a vessel full of deads. But when they're boarded and robbed by space pirates, Captain Archer turns his prisoner into a plan to retrieve their booty. Who is going inside out first? What is the Cochran equation? When the Entrepreneur is six weeks into the expanse, the Captain's only lead is an unscrupulous foreman with a Xindi miner. But when Archer and Trip get trapped with the prisoner, their sewer-based escape ends tragically at a set of useless coordinates that push them deeper into the expanse. Where's the fresh content for a Florence Nightingale foot fetish? What could have made Trip's nightmare better? Who is turning professional compliance inside out? Star Trek: Enterprise, Series 3, Episode 23. First broadcast on Wednesday 19 May 2004. Stardate: Unknown (2154). It's the second last episode of the Xindi arc, which can only mean one thing: a big, dumb spectacle in which we're all trying to prevent a bunch of lizards wearing slinkies from hurling a massive lethal wiffle ball into planet Earth. Fortunately, Connor, Jolene and Billingsley are here with some acting for us to enjoy as well.
“Exile” 20th-anniversary reflections Contacted telepathically by an alien who says he might be able to help find the Xindi, Hoshi decides to take advantage of the opportunity by packing her nicest dresses and high heels for a stay at his mysterious castle. At first she's happy to be his guest and even enjoys a lavish dinner of her Earth favorites—despite being creeped out by his mind-reading. But the mood is soured when she discovers the graves of past guests just outside, leaving little more to do until the Enterprise returns but translate a book written in an undecipherable alien language while staying comfortable in leisure wear. In this episode of Warp Five, hosts C Bryan Jones and Matthew Rushing continue our 20th-anniversary retrospective that takes you through all of Star Trek: Enterprise, one episode at a time. In this installment, we continue Season 3 with “Exile” as we discuss Star Trek's attempt to do Beauty and the Beast in space. Chapters Intro (00:00:00) Be Our Guest! “Rajiin” 20th-anniversary reflections While the Xindi Council continues to debate how best to destroy Earth, the Enterprise welcomes aboard a beautiful passenger. Archer rescued the lingerie-clad alien from a slave market on the Xanathan planet where he, Tucker, and Reed sought clues about the Xindi and a way to synthesize trellium-D. It turns out that the freed woman may not have the information they need, but she does have ulterior motives … and the hots for everyone. Things take an even weirder turn when the Xindi Reptilions and Insectoids show up looking for their electric Barbarella. The jet is tens of millions of times larger than the black hole's event horizon. The galaxy M87, located in the Virgo constellation, provided the first-ever photo of a black hole in 2019, when the Event Horizon Telescope captured an image of the supermassive black hole at the galaxy's center. An international research team has now observed a teraelectronvolt gamma-ray flare seven orders of magnitude -- tens of millions of times -- larger than the event horizon, or surface of the black hole itself. A flare of this intensity -- which has not been observed in over a decade -- can offer crucial insights into how particles, such as electrons and positrons, are accelerated in the extreme environments near black holes. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2024/12/241213140634.htm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_87 Black holes and why they look like that: https://youtu.be/zUyH3XhpLTo?si=7drAgoVloX9hytmo New Technology Could Keep Communications Going During Disasters RNZ (12/6) News from New Zealand: “The 'mesh node' is a small black walkie-talkie sized box that connects to a cellphone through Bluetooth. While the Prodigy kids finally meet the REAL Janeway and her cronies, guest Kregg Castillo finally meets the XINDI! It's outrageous! Also, Okona is in this episode for some reason, and that we means we get to reminisce on all the ways that TNG Season 2 was such remarkable television. Kregg doesn&t remember Okona, and Jack also has some startling revelations about Prodigy that he already should have known. Oh, and ANDOR TALK! It's all here, and it's all outrageous!

On this episode of our show, Captain Ingle and I set a course for the 22nd century and the mysteries of the Delphic Expanse. When they enter the disabled craft, the episode becomes a full-on horror film as they encounter a crew gone insane. Join us as we go boldly!
We're racing to the finale but we have to have some filler on the way! In "The Forgotten" John is too busy talking to the Xindi to write a letter so he makes Trip do it. After that, endure a crappy rehash of "Children of Time" with "E²". Also this week: a narratively pointless blaze, a narrative device person, and Gul Dukat! The Xindi arc continues this week, and the investigation gets stupid. First up: it's a little "Phantom of the Opera", a little "Beauty and the Beast" and maybe a big pile of tell don't show when Hoshi becomes unwilling roommates with a lonely telepath in "Exile". After that, Archer learns a lesson about the Xindi he'll almost definitely forget by next week in "The Shipment". Also this week: someone's lonely, someone was cocky, and the someone for the blog this week is Quark! [timestamps: Exile: 00:48; Shipment: 29:39; Quark: 55:53] [don't walk, run to the tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/sshbpodcast/746764947445448704/character-spotlight-quark?source=share]
When you've got a stun setting, just follow Muldoon's advice and all your problems will be solved. First up: the Xindi come up with a needlessly convoluted plan to get information on human biology in "Rajiin". After that, "Trek" decides to do a pretty humdrum zombie story in "Impulse". Also this week: rewrites, running short, and Odo! [timestamps: Rajiin: 01:46; Impulse: 42:36; The Constable: 1:05:53] [No running to the tumblr!: https://www.tumblr.com/sshbpodcast/746133762181677056/character-spotlight-odo?source=share]
The Consolidation loop consolidates nothing and yet provides another Expansion Cube style loop with subpar payouts, ridiculously slow sourcing, and horrible math. Listen to DJz push through a throat infection to actually rant about why this is the worst addition to the game in months.
Well, it's here. The end of Season 2 and start of Season 3, where the producers decided "let's do 9/11". First up: the dumbest aliens ever decide to try the test version of their planet-killer ray on their ultimate target, thus giving Earth ample time to plan in "The Expanse". After that, "Enterprise" starts its bold new season with yet ANOTHER prison break episode in "The Xindi". Also this week: Time Daddy, idiot villains, and wrapping season 2! Things get a lot worse as we wrap up the NX-01's prior season Quest Log as we review "Storm Front, Part 2"! The writers can't get of the Temporal Cold War fast enough as we straight speed run to the finish, spawn camp some Germans, and get back to the plot we actually want to see.
With the Xindi arc now (mostly) behind us, Peter and Joseph review the season-that-was of Enterprise! Season 3 was a banger as predicted, but what made it work so well? What could be improved? Why did they make 'Extinction'? What was the weakest you-know what? Listen and find out!

The crew of the NX-01 digs deep on the heavy questions - death, grief, perseverance - as Trip finds himself in choking distance of Space Oppenheimer. Also, will Reed finally achieve his fondest wish of dying on the ship's hull?
Your hosts continue to revel in the sudden hard upshift in quality of this roller coaster they call Enterprise as we review "Damage". After the NX-01 gets half its hull plates blown off, the crew survives...but Archer is meeting Sea World People, the crew goes full pirate, and T'Pol has the most unfortunate addiction ever.
Strap yourselves in, as a whole new show starts as we arrive at "Azati Prime"! This one truly has everything - Time Zucc, relationship drama, murders, Trek lady weak zone exploitation, and all the traumatic brain injury you can handle (also lots of compelling drama and action good grief this was good)!
