On November 6, 2021, Austin paced one of ultrarunning's top competitors and human beings, Kaci Lickteig, during a 100 mile trail race. From mile 49 to mile 72, Austin ran alongside Kaci, in a race where every step took courage and grit. In this episode, Austin recounts the lessons he learned from watching Kaci's amazing performance, and we discuss why it's so important to block out the noise of expectations and meet yourself where you are at right now. On August 14th, 2021, Go Get It host Austin Meyer ran the Castle Peak 100km trail race. This 62.8 mile high altitude foot race in the mountains outside of Lake Tahoe took Austin 15 hours and 6 minutes to complete. He finished 12th overall, 10th male, and 1st in the 20-29 age group. In this episode, we go over that day in the mountains and discuss the lessons learned from going the distance and leaving it all out there on the trails.
