I'm back after a short break from the podcast after running the Emotions Decoded program. This week, I share some personal updates while we talk about the importance of honoring our body's needs for rest and lessons learned from an intense period of work, travel, and emotional growth. The episode dives into themes of emotional resilience, the power of slowing down, and tuning into seasonal shifts in our lives and bodies.Key Takeaways:Honor Your Body's Needs: Listening to when your body needs a break, rather than pushing through, is essential for long-term health.Balance Output and Rest: Embrace quieter seasons as necessary for growth, akin to how plants need dormant periods to thrive.Lean into Discomfort: Rather than avoiding difficult emotions, allow them to be felt and processed. This fosters resilience.Seasonal Shifts Are Real: As seasons change, so should your routines. Allow your body's needs to guide your choices in work, rest, and activities.Unplug for Peace: Regularly unplugging from collective noise can help ground your energy and keep emotional stability.*Mentioned in this Episode:Emotions Decoded Waitlist French Onion MeatballsEpisode 143: Financial FastingWinter Indulgence Waitlist -- Find the natural rhythm of your body and lean into the gift of the seasonVitamin D NewsletterSend us a text

This episode talks about grief, unprocessed emotions, and the power of releasing in community. I share my unexpected experience of release, the pain that came with it, and the beautiful resolution. If you've ever mourned something but didn't understand *what* or *why* you were in mourning, this episode will be extra supportive. Episode 125 is a follow up to Episode 124 so I recommend listening to 124 first. The squirrel saga continued as I realized I had not, in fact, fully processed that event. I came to realize that the squirrel was a catalyst for a deep, unprocessed grief that was stuck in my body. This episode explores the events leading up to my release, and the difference between messages from the mind verses the body.Mentioned in this episode:Want to join the Emotional Edit Waitlist? In today's episode, I share a heart-breakig story of a little squirrel. I share the full experience and explore how powerful it is to BE WITH THE PAIN and emotions that arise. I also reflect on the beautiful way my husband responded to my pain and the gift we can give each other by allowing ourselves to be witnessed in our pain. This episode is a powerful representation of the emotional process and what it means to truly FEEL and allow emotions to fully express themselves. I also highlight the importance of emotional charges, the difference between experiencing and event vs processing it, and how an intense even supports us in processing the *current* charge and old unprocessed emotions. In today's episode I give you an update from my trip to Block Island, Rhode Island. It was a magical trip that helped me reflect on where I am out of balance in my “at home” life. After two weeks of play - making cocktails, running on the beach, morning swims, sunset walks, fireworks, fire pits, calling in aliens and clamming, I feel so happy and grateful. Beyond that, on day 11 of my trip, I had a powerful download arrive just as I was falling asleep. I grabbed my phone and furiously typed to try to capture the words and they were swirling in my body. I felt electric, inspired, tearful, delighted. As my heart raced, my mind thought: “this is too much, it's too good to be true.” But I allowed it, I breathed it in and opened myself to the wisdom and Truth that needed to come through. From THAT, a new online experience was born - The Emotional Edit. In today's episode I share how that experience unfolded and some of the exact words that came through. If you can feel the vibration and the pull from this episode, I invite you to join me for The Emotional Edit Experience.Mentioned in this Episode:Join The Emotional Edit Waitlist: (coming this month!)Sign up for the Vitamin D Newsletter:Follow me on Instagram @dana_evans
It's story time! Episode 122 of the podcast is a fun, lively and candid conversation with Dorothy Johnson - a past client, fellow projector and all around amazing human. She's best known as “Breakup Coach Dorothy” and the work she does in the world to help you get over your ex in three-months or less. This conversation touches on some BIG experiences that Dorothy went through while working with me. She talks about an ectopic pregnancy, lessons from her Tinkerbell the dog, what the Marshmallow Experiment is, paying off debt in full, trusting in yourself, and the value of emotional processing and support during an intense period of time. This conversation gives you a behind the scenes look and what really happens when you start to release emotional charges and use your Inner Voice as your guiding post.Mentioned in this Episode:Find Dorothy on Instagram @breakupcoachdorothyDorothy's Program - Get Over Your Ex: https://dorothyabjohnson.com Dana Interviews Dorothy on The Get Over Your Ex Podcast: The Marshmallow ExperimentJoin The Emotional Edit: https://www.alignful.com/email-capture Quotes from the Episode:“Deciding isn't even a thing, it's a Knowing.” - Dana“The more unexpected crazy shit that happens in life, the more it's preparing you for something bigger and better than you could expect or plan for. Ever wake up in the middle of the night with extreme fear or panic? Like your mind is hooked on everything wrong or bad that could happen? I've been there and it's exhausting! In those moments it feels *essential* to listen to the mind, to be carried away by the fear and stay up ruminating. What if there was a way to calm the mind, release the grip, reassure yourself and fall back to sleep? That's what we talk about in this week's podcast episode. In fact, I included a full audio to listen to when your mind wakes you up in fear. You can listen to that on the podcast or download the edited version with music with the link below.Mentioned in this Episode:Download the Middle of the Night Fear Audio Join the Emotional Edit Waitlist: Ready to learn how to express, process, integrate and regulate your emotions?
