It's not for everyone, but it is worth exploring. As humans, it is our nature to label and define things. In its simplest form, this allows us to quickly asses things as helpful or harmful. Good or bad. Right or wrong, and so on.When changes happen in our life, by our choice or by an external choice, we do well to start defining where we were, where we are and where we want to go. However, if we embrace the undefined season in our life, meaning we let go of the idea of figuring everything out, it opens up the possibility of us learning more about the things we otherwise would completely miss. But be warned... It should be treated as a season, not a permanent way to live life. Unless that's your thing, in which case let go and live!Thank you for listening to We All Have Something. ❤️Click here and become a SUPPORTER of We All Have Something!❤️Who am I? That's a question we tend to ask ourselves when life gets shaken like a snow-globe. But instead of a flurry of snow, its pieces of the life we had and pieces of who we thought we were.Often we identify with our position in family, or a title work has given us. More commonly we identify with what others have told us we are as we were growing up. But what if we took the time to sit and ask ourselves "Who am I?" before life flipped and turned upside-down? The idea that we only pour into others because that feels good or because it is good to be in service to others, is a disillusioned idea. Have you ever wanted to purse something greater, but then avoided it? Or maybe you started down that path and even seemed to be gaining momentum to only stop yourself from continuing. The term "Fear of Success" may not make sense at first. I mean, why wouldn't you run towards success and embrace it? Why avoid it? What is there to be afraid of? But it ends up there is a lot more to it than you might expect.
From Highschool to college and well into my career I always heard about how important time management was. And today I still hear about time management tips and tricks. Or even better, hacks to improve your time management skills.I call it BS.In this episode we dive into the concept of managing yourself in the time you have - not managing time that ticks away every second no matter what you do. It's TIME for you to have success every day of every week - Let's Go!
We tend to understand how our mood and our emotions can influence our behavior. Having a really good day, or a bad day, can influence the music we decide to listen to, the food we eat, and the activities we choose to do, or do not do.But get this - the reverse is true too. We can influence our mood and emotions by choosing specific behaviors. For example, I often do not feel like doing my weekly run, but once I am out there running, I am loving it and so glad to be out for a run. In this episode we look at how behavior activation helps us understand how behavior effects and even influences our emotions.
Why am I here? What's the purpose of life? It's a question that comes up, sometime more than once, in our lifetime. In this episode we explore the what, when and why we question our purpose in life and possibly - just maybe - discover a strategy to find the answer.
Forgiveness is incredibly powerful. And, it can be incredibly hard to do - especially if the individual you need to forgive has wronged you in what feels like the most unforgivable way.In this episode we explore the concept that forgiving someone is more for you than them. And the value in seeking counseling, therapy or professional support in working through the process so you may heal.
WELCOME TO SEASON 3!We kick off Season 3 with the reminder that our words have definitions and therefore carry weight. In this case, I am curious to know if you can replace the idea of "good habits and bad habits" with "habits that serve me and habits that don't serve me."It may seem like a silly and simple change, but research supports that what we tell ourselves impacts us. Thanks to our cultures and the world of language we grow up in, the words we choose matter. So choose them wisely - be mindful and empower yourself!

In this episode I share an episode from Season 1 that is worth revisiting. Next week will offer a fresh episode and new guests will be stopping by for interviews in November.Yes, we often see the memes and posts about living with no regrets. But let's be honest, we are humans and we are perfectly imperfect. So instead of pretending we do not have regrets, let's bring those regrets out of the shadows - Embrace them, own them and figure out what we can learn from them. Then, let's show some gratitude for the lessons learned so we may grow and move on.Thank you for listening to We All Have Something. We had the Great Resignation era. We are in the middle of the "Quiet Quitting" phenomenon. But before all of that, back in 2017/2018 most working adults (70%) that were polled stated they HATED their job. Some would rage quit and cause more challenges for themselves in the long run, while others trudged on hating life. What's the alternative? Well, in this episode we look at ways you can evaluate what you want to do with the 40 to 50 hours a week you spend at work. We discuss actionable strategies you can create that will prepare you to move into the career that serves you well. And we wrap it up reviewing the structure of SMART goals that will be pivotal in your success of transforming your life in to the life YOU want.I challenge you to live YOUR life on YOUR terms!Book mentioned in this episode:From Strength to Strength by Arthur C. In this episode I share with you how a book set my life on the course to becoming a certified Life Coach. That book: Oola - Find Balance in an Unbalanced World.BUY THE BOOK HERE (Click on BOOKS once you are at the site) I came across this book after going through some difficult times. I was in the process of rebuilding and restructuring how I was living my life. This book, Oola - Find Balance in an Unbalanced World, brought together all of the concepts I had been studying into one book that actually mapped out the formula. Throughout the book Dr. Dave & Dr. Troy share their stories & experiences, mapping out how the framework of Oola works. The book wraps up with the steps on how to figure out where you are now and how to blaze the path forward, in to the life you were truly born to live.
