Growing up on the streets of Louisiana, Albert Antoine was drinking, smoking, and carrying a gun by the time he was twelve years old. His parents were divorced and his father worked graveyard, so he was left to virtually raise himself. Listen to how God miraculously moved him to a place of repentance and reconciliation, drawing Albert to Himself through Christ!!!
In this final episode of our Gospel series, we discuss the infilling of the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost). We've walked through the death/repentance in episode 3, and burial/baptism in episode 4, and now we round things out by tying the resurrection of Christ with our "new life", according to scripture....What is the Holy Spirit?...Is receiving the Spirit necessary?...How do I know if I've received the Spirit?...How does the Holy Spirit tie into the gospel message?#biblestudy #church #jesus #jesuschrist
In the last episode, we discussed Christ's death, and how that relates to our spiritual death to sin, what scripture refers to as repentance. Now, we continue in our study and examine Christ's burial, and what implications that has for our lives....What is baptism?...Is baptism necessary?...How does baptism tie into the gospel message?#biblestudy #church #jesus #jesuschrist
Now that we've examined the scriptural support for the gospel and seen that it is incredibly consistent throughout the Book of Acts, let's review repentance in more detail....What is repentance?...Is repentance necessary?...How does repentance tie into the gospel message?#biblestudy #church #jesus #jesuschrist
In the last installment, we discussed the critical nature of the gospel message, and asked the what, why, how, when, and where of the gospel. In this episode we track through the Book of Acts and review the remarkable consistency of both the gospel message and the response to the gospel....What was preached on the Day of Pentecost?...What was preached when the gospel moved to Samaria?...What was preached to the Gentiles?...Did Paul and the other apostles preach the same gospel?#biblestudy #church #jesus #jesuschrist
Perhaps the most critical, single question for any believer or unbeliever centers around the gospel. The entire message of Jesus Christ revolves around the centrality of the gospel. In this series, we explore questions such as... ...WHAT is the gospel? ...WHY is the gospel important? ...HOW does the gospel apply to us today? ...WHEN was the gospel, as we know it, first preached and taught? ...WHERE in scripture do we turn to understand the gospel, and see it in Action? Show Notes for the first installment: ✳️What is the gospel? Matt 1:21 - She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Rom 1:16 - I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 1 Cor 15:1-4 ✳️What does it mean to "obey" the gospel? 2 Thess 1:6-9 - God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power Rom 6:1-2 - What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Rom 6:3-4 - Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. 2 Cor 3:6 - He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant- — not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Romans 8:1–11 (ESV) #biblestudy #church #jesus #jesuschrist
In this episode, we continue our discussion on the church, specifically, the role of deacons. What are the differences between deacons and elders? What is the purpose of a deacon? Let's discuss... #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
In this episode, we continue our discussion on the church, specifically, the calling of elders. What are elders, what are their requirements, and who should or should not become an elder? Let's discuss... #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
We've discussed who and what the church is according to the scriptures, but how is it supposed to be governed? Is there any scriptural authority, structure, or leadership in the body of Christ? Let's discuss? #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
Ready for your New Year's resolutions? We're a few days in, and some of us have probably already broken some of them. So how can we really grow with Christ in the New Year? In this episode, listen to 3 essential keys that will propel you to success. #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
In this wrap-up of our discussion on the differences between the kingdom of God in the Old Testament and New Testament, we address how the NT focuses on walking in the Spirit. #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
Let's discuss some of the major differences in the "institutions" in the Old Testament versus how they are lived out in the New Testament church. Specifically, we'll see how kings, priests, and prophets translate into the kingdom of God and the church for today!!! #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
In this episode we discuss how the church is a WHO not a WHAT, it's PEOPLE not PLACES, and how it's an ORGANISM not an ORGANIZATION. We dive into where the early church "had church" and gathered together, and what the implications are in turning from a western model of church into a biblical one. #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
In this episode we discuss the next mountain of society, Religion. After the family, this is the most important institution for Christians to solidify before we try to take the rest of our cultural institutions. We discuss the need to push the "reformation" beyond the ecumenical councils and get back to the original plan that Jesus had for his body, the church. We also discuss the 3 important things that God brought forth when He established the church in the Book of Acts: the new covenant, the new law, and the new institution. #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
In this conclusion of our mini-series of the Family, we discuss the "prayer request" God gives in Malachi, that marriages would produce godly offspring. What roles do the parents play in raising up their children, what dangers might there be in our culture, and what are some tips for navigating the waters of the family. #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
In this episode we discuss the roles of men and women and how they are to play out together in the home, in ministry, and in life. #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
God made men and women different...VERY DIFFERENT. His incredible design wasn't just arbitrary, but rather to equip them for the roles they were to play in His grand design for the family. Here, we talk about the roles, callings, and responsibilities of both men and women in marriage. Let's discuss... #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
In the last episode, we discussed the general hierarchical structure of marriage, and the beauty of Biblical patriarchy. Now, we examine some of the differences between men and women, and how each should approach the covenantal institution of marriage. Let's discuss...
Hierarchy is the shape of almost any organization we encounter today. From sports, to hobbies, from politics to business, we are surrounded by hierarchies. In fact, your local 4H club, bowling league, and homeowner's association all have a hierarchy. Is it any surprise that the Bible lays out God's plan for the family, and that plan includes a hierarchy of roles, responsibilities, benefits and obligations? What does the Biblical hierarchy of the family look like? God - Christ - Man - Woman (See 1 Corinthians 11, Ephesians 5, and 1 Peter 3) And since the family is governed or ruled by the father (the patriarch), what is the proper name for such a hierarchy? DRUM ROLL PLEASE...... It's a PATRIARCHY....A loving, safe, secure, highly functional patriarchy.... Let's discuss...
The family is the basic unit that God uses to build society. It is the raw material, the bricks used to construct everything else. It's no wonder the family is under such vicious attack from demonic and satanic forces. After all, it was the first institution established by God in Genesis. In our modern, western culture, we've forgotten a moral-mathematical truth: the family is GREATER THAN the individual. Let's take a look at the scriptural underpinnings and emphasis on this essential component of God's plan for dominion on the earth!!! #family #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
What is the scriptural mission of the church? Should Christians be involved in politics, law, education, and other institutions of culture? If so, what should that involvement look like? In this series, we will dive into these questions and more. But first....Let's talk about the importance of being Spirit-Led in all our actions and application of scriptural principles in the world around us... #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
Jesus really seemed to go out of His way to make the discourse in Matthew 24 crystal clear, yet many seem to be as confused as ever. Could it be that the plain and simple statements are just too mundane, and boring for moderns, and so we don't want to take Him at His word? Let's discuss... #eschatology #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
One day Jesus is going to come down to earth, on a cloud, and every eye in the face of the planet will behold this phenomenon. In the United States, this sounds like a boring truism based on well-founded church dogma, but is it scriptural? More importantly, is this something Jesus taught in His discourse found in Matthew 24? Let's discuss... #eschatology #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
Many people read futuristic wars, cataclysmic weather phenomena, and nuclear explosions into the text of Matthew 24. Are these beliefs warranted given the Biblical evidence? Let's discuss... #eschatology #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
An ominous figure looming in the shadows until the LAST DAYS, when he will launch an epic battle against the forces of good, which will culminate in a global, nuclear holocaust....This must be the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION!!! Or is it..... Let's discuss... #eschatology #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
The first few verses of Matthew 24 establish an interpretive rubric for the rest of the chapter. It's important to look at time indicators, audience, and other factors that allow the scriptures to interpret themselves. Instead of the sensational fearmongering found in many deceptive "Christian" books and articles, listen to Jesus explain what this chapter is really about, and allow Him to tell us what to look for, and what to ignore... Let's discuss... #eschatology #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
Come get your free tacos, vasectomies, and abortions...It must be the DNC!!! Let's discuss how Christians can think Biblically about the evil we are seeing rise up in our society, and let's talk candidly about those who want to remain faithful Christians who still consider themselves part of the Democratic party. Do they actually still want or care about you? #dnc #kamalaharris #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
Before we get to Matthew 24, we must understand the immediate context, found in chapters 21 through 23. This is where Jesus pronounces judgment and destruction on the temple, the rulers, and the city over and over again. He ends with a seven-fold set of woes and a final mic drop and promise of desolation. This is the context of Matthew 24. Let's discuss... #eschatology #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
We're slowly moving into our eschatology series, but first..... Let's make sure we know how to read and study our Bible. This skill will help with any topic, but especially as we dive into the nuances of eschatology. So suit up, put on those thinking caps, and let's get ready to study our Bibles!!! Let's discuss... #eschatology #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church #bible
Many people believe eschatology is a topic reserved for those who've exhausted the rest of the Bible, have grown bored, and now want something else to do. Maybe they think Revelation is just in the Bible because God wanted 66 books instead of 65. Of course, many believe they're alive now, so the world can't possibly last much longer. After all, if they are going through something dreadful, it must be the time of the end. None of these is true, and ESCHATOLOGY MATTERS. It matters a lot. It matters because it generally influences what we think of the past, how we behave in the present, and how we position ourselves for the future. Let's discuss... #eschatology #world #culture #gospel #jesus #church
The Olympics go full demonic, but what is the Christian response? #olympics #sports #culture #gospel #jesus #church
The chaos continues, but God is faithful... #trump #donaldtrump #gospel #jesus #church
We discussed the "Year of Chaos" in our first episode of 2024, and now things get even crazier!!! Let's discuss how a Biblical worldview should inform and instruct us in light of the recent assassination attempt on the president... #trump #donaldtrump #gospel #jesus #church
In this installment of our deep dive into the gospel, we dive deeper into what it means to "obey" the gospel. Many people will say that faith is all that is needed, but is this scriptural? Let's explore the Bible evidence as it relates to faith, works, obedience, and the gospel... #biblestudy #church #jesus #jesuschrist #gospel
In this installment of our deep dive into the gospel, we explore the consistency in the message that was preached. Last time we saw what Peter said when people who believed the gospel asked what they needed to do. Peter told them to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and that they would receive the Holy Spirit... If someone came to you or your church and said they believed the gospel, but wanted to know what was required of them next, would your answer be the same as Peter's? Here we will see that the apostles and the first Christians held a consistent message of what response was require by God of those who believed the gospel. #biblestudy #church #jesus #jesuschrist #gospel
Of all the important questions a Christian should be able to answer, what is of prime or first importance? There are MANY Christians, "churches", and leaders who do not teach, can't explain, and don't even know what the gospel is, according to the Bible. So, in this episode, we dive into the scripture to ask this critical question, "what is the gospel?"

So, in this episode, we dive into the scripture to ask this critical question, "what is the gospel?"
Why are so many modern churches, especially in western culture, so powerless, fickle, and feckless? Why is there virtually no difference from many "church members" and your average member of western society? Why do so many attend church and still struggle with the same issues, problems, sins, temptations, worries, and fears? The answer is that many churches do not actually know or teach the gospel. They pay lip service to Jesus and the Bible, but only in passing, while continuing the program of an uplifting Ted Talk and a watered down (sometimes) rock concert. DO YOU WANT MORE? Then let's get back to the basics and discuss the gospel at length and in depth... In this installment of our Back 2 Basics series, we provide a detailed look at the bad side of the "good news". In other words, why do we need the gospel? Why do we need Jesus? What impact does the death, burial resurrection, and life of Jesus Christ have on us today? Let's discuss...
In this episode we begin a mini series on scriptural foundations. We'll discuss questions like "what is the gospel?", "how can we be saved?", and "what is God's kingdom?". In this first installment, we provide an overview of the scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, and lay the groundwork for the rest of the series. We hope these videos help you in your walk with Christ!!!
We recently saw an interesting development at the Iowa Caucus with #donaldtrump smashing the competition in a record-breaking blowout against #rondesantis and #nikkihaley but what do such things have to do with Christians, discipleship, the kingdom of God, and the like? Should Christians leave such things to others and avoid the political sphere altogether? Should Christians stick to spiritual and religious matters, and relegate their participation in government and culture to quietly voting every few years? Let's discuss...
Is it time for Christians to get extreme? What does that look like and what would that mean? What can Christians learn from the utopian ideas of Marxists, Zionists, and Muslim Extremists?
Patrick Bet-David of the @PBDPodcast recently predicted 2024 to be the "year of chaos". I fully agree!!! Buckle up and get ready for a wild ride!!! In this episode we discuss the latest developments and released court documents of the Jeffrey Epstein case, and how this relates to prominent figures such as Clinton, Trump, Prince Andrew, and others. We also discuss the implications of conflicts between nations: #israel & Hamas, #china and Taiwan, #russia and #ukraine Finally, we talk about #trump and the 2024 election season... This will indeed be a year of CHAOS!!! But remember that God has ALWAYS been able to preserve and protect His remnant of Kingdom-Minded saints, the true disciples of Jesus Christ. So, do not fear, but have faith and be ready to persevere!!!
Should women wear pants, or does the Bible prohibit women from wearing them? Some would argue there is a scriptural command that women not dress in pants of any kind, but is that accurate? In the last episode, we discussed the Biblical view of tradition, and in this episode we tackle one tradition that some people adhere to, but is it Biblical. We discuss the following: What does Deuteronomy 22:5 say? What is the Biblical prohibition and/or warning? What is God's created design for gender, masculinity, and femininity? What does scripture teach about modesty? Are pants a man's garment and therefore an abomination if worn by women?
What is the scriptural significance of Christmas? Is it merely that those who believe in Christ can escape Hell when they die? Should we celebrate the baby in the manger as a cutesy story once a year, or does God intend for more? Let's discuss.... Jesus said we should love God with our heart, soul, MIND, and strength. We are expected to use our minds and engage our intellect as disciples of Christ. However......Too many Christians emphasize this area without a proper balance in other critical areas, and they do so to the detriment of Christianity as a whole... Let's discuss.... Check out this and other episodes of our Word of Exhortation series for short, thought-provoking discussions that supplement our lengthier full episodes.
In this episode we discuss Jesus' rebuke of the religious leaders of His day, and their strict adherence to man-made traditions, even nullifying the very word of God because of their traditions. We examine the validity and scriptural view of tradition. We discuss whether Christians should hold to traditions and how much prominence they should have in our lives. Let's examine what the Bible says, good or bad, on the topic.
Your interpretation, my interpretation, my pastor's interpretation, our organization's interpretation...But what "interpretation" of the scripture is the correct one? Some people are under the false impression that all interpretations are equal. Some find it so cumbersome to navigate through the noise, and so they give up on understanding the Bible altogether. INSTEAD.....We should let the Bible speak for itself, and go with the scriptural interpretation, even if that leads us in a direction that's temporarily uncomfortable. Check out this and other episodes of our Word of Exhortation series for short, thought-provoking discussions that supplement our lengthier full episodes.
Have you ever stopped to wonder how you or others formed specific beliefs or doctrines? Do they come from a study and knowledge of the scripture, or do we hold to things that we were merely told by others? Concerning things eternal, is this adequate? Do we believe true disciples are made that way? Let's discuss... Check out this and other episodes of our Word of Exhortation series for short, thought-provoking discussions that supplement our lengthier full episodes.
In this episode, we take a step back and up to examine the high-level battle that wages on between the kingdom of God and every other kingdom. As we examine the key passages in Ephesians that reveal where our true battle lies, and who our true enemy is, let us keep our eyes on the ball and always remember to advance the kingdom of God.
Christian Nationalism is a term often thrown around in our society, but what does it mean? In most instances, it appears to be nothing more than name calling, or used as a slur to incite fear, similar to the boogeyman of "fundamentalism". In this episode, we explore what if would mean to be Christian, and what it means to be a nationalist, and how that might fit in the current societal milieu. We also look at what the scriptures say about establishing a national identity under the rulership of God, and whether that fits into a "Christian Nationalism" framework.
