True Crime Tuesday presents: Fiend: Supernatural Secrets in Business, Family, and Tragedy with Ex-CIA Agent/Author, Alma Katsu! Imagine if the Sackler family had a demon at their beck and call. The Berisha family runs one of the largest import-export companies in the world, and they've always been lucky. Their rivals suffer strokes. Inconvenient buildings catch on fire. Earthquakes swallow up manufacturing plants, destroying harmful evidence. Things always seem to work out for the Berishas. They're blessed. At least that is what Zef, the patriarch, has always told his three children. And each of them knows their place in the family—Dardan, as the only male heir, must prepare to take over as keeper of the Berisha secrets, Maris's most powerful contribution, much to her dismay, will be to marry strategically, and Nora's job, as the youngest, is to just stay out of the way. But when things stop going as planned, and the family blessing starts looking more like a curse, the Berishas begin to splinter, each hatching their own secret scheme. They didn't get to be one of the richest families in the world without spilling a little blood, but this time, it might be their own. On Today's TCT, We sit down with Alma Katsu to talk about her background in the CIA, how the agency has changed in today's times and threats, and then we launch into the Berisha family! What makes them tick, What makes their moral code "questionable", and what sets them all up to be perfect to carry the "family Secret"! 199. I made a decision that didn't make sense on paper—but made complete sense in my body. I pressed pause on an entire podcast series I'd already recorded. In this episode, I pull back the curtain on why alignment beats appearances, how to tell the difference somatically (heaviness vs. spaciousness), and what to do when sunk costs and other people's expectations try to override your intuition. You'll hear the exact moment I knew to pivot, what I'm changing on the show (more potent solos; guests only when deeply aligned), and an invitation to honor the inconvenient decisions that lead to ease. Mentioned: Ellen Yin's and Cubicle to CEO's Bloom Together Soirée; Her First $100K (Tori Dunlap); She's So Lucky (Les Alfred); Storyboards by Melora and Melora Hardin, Lyrik Fryer (Work Play Branding), and Amy Lacey (first to market califlower pizza and SourSop) Start your own realignment with my free Energy Audit: brendawinkle.com/audit Want to go deeper? Recently a documentary series entitled "An Inconvenient Faith" appeared on YouTube, produced by Robert Reynolds and Jim Bennett (among others). The documentary seeks to promote progressive Mormonism within LDS church membership. The documentary is groundbreaking in the sense that it includes both Ex-Mormons (e.g. Jeremy Runnells, Sandra Tanner, John Dehlin, Bill Reel) and faithful Mormon scholars (e.g. Richard Bushman, Terryl & Fiona Givens, Patrick Mason). The series has also received a considerable amount of excitement and critique on the Internet. Please join Mormon Stories for a livestream as a panel (John Dehlin, Bishop Beau Oyler, Julie Hanks, and Jana Spangler) react to the documentary. We welcome your participation as well!View the documentary here.___________________YouTubeAt Mormon Stories we explore, celebrate, and challenge Mormon culture through in-depth stories told by members and former members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as scholars, authors, LDS apologists, and other professionals. Our overall mission is to: 1. Facilitate informed consent amongst LDS Church members, investigators, and non-members regarding Mormon history, doctrine, and theology2. Support Mormons (and members of other high-demand religions) who are experiencing a religious faith crisis3. Promote healing, growth and community for those who choose to leave the LDS Church or other high demand religions

In this warm, idea-packed episode of The Forest School Podcast, Lewis and Wem move from personal updates to a deep dive on resilience. Using Looby McNamara's Cultural Emergence and Chris Johnstone's framing, they explore recovery, adaptive, transformative, and spreading resilience. They challenge the “just power through” myth, contrast perseverance with true resilience, and look at how groups become more sustainable through transparency, shared roles, and flatter hierarchies. Expect practical examples from fire-lighting to policy writing, plus reflections on neurodivergence, school attendance narratives, and how adults can model resilience when there's a supportive team around them.⏱ Chapter Timings:00:00 – Patreon intro and setting the scene for a busy month01:39 – London “bird orchestra,” road trip vibes, and upcoming FSA plans04:26 – What the FSA road shows are and why mini-conferences matter06:03 – Workshop picks: coil baskets, nature connection, and “dangerous toys”07:24 – A secret embargoed event, outfit chat, and Wem begins a PhD10:28 – Four types of resilience via Looby McNamara and Chris Johnstone12:53 – Oxford definitions: beyond “hardness” to bouncing and recovery20:12 – Adaptive resilience vs perseverance: the fire-lighting example22:42 – Community resilience: transparency, small teams, and avoiding burnout41:54 – Modelling resilience, flatter hierarchies, and support networks

When things don't go as planned — like a broken laptop, a delayed flight, or missing luggage — it's easy to spiral into frustration. But what if those moments are actually powerful opportunities for growth? In this episode, I'm sharing the inconvenient (and unglamorous) lessons I've learned while traveling across Australia with my family. Focus: Christians often suffer from indecisiveness or wishing they knew what God's will was for them in a decision. Once decided, we often suffer from tunnel vision. Sometimes God wants to change our direction even mid journey. Listening and discerning isn't limited to convenience, and it doesn't end once we start executing a plan. Acts 16:6-10

After Arsenal's chances of not winning the title were rubber stamped last weekend, a defeat at home to PSG in the Champions League has left them with a lot to do in Paris. With second place as good as confirmed, and little left to fight for in the league, fans are wondering if Arteta might hold back his first choice players on Saturday ahead of Bournemouth's visit. Both teams are going to be angry, with the visitors also having a disappointing last match-week, dropping points to Manchester United late into the game, and with Bournemouth's European dream alive, but fading, a result at the Emirates could well re-ignite the season. So how is this match going to play out? Sam and Tom are at the Queens Park hotel to pick apart a big game in North London. Visit the QP at 482 Holdenhurst Rd, Bournemouth, BH8 9AR. In this follow-up to last week's Calling All “Good Girls” episode, Dr. Becky dives deeper into embracing the role of the “inconvenient woman.” What begins with a simple “I want my coffee my way” moment evolves into a powerful realization: Identifying, owning, and articulating our desires as women can be incredibly uncomfortable. Jesus made it clear: the most powerful way to impact the world is by loving others, even when it's inconvenient, uncomfortable, and messy. (John 13:35) In a culture that's self-seeking, the way to stand out is by doing the opposite: to pick up a towel, lean low, and wash feet. But let's be real—this kind of love is impossible without first understanding and receiving God's never-ending love for us. We can't pour out what we haven't first received. When we understand God's love for us, the power of His love can be unleashed through us, transforming our world. This kind of love is unstoppable. If you're ready to receive God's unstoppable love for you especially when you don't deserve it, so that in turn you can love others, tune in to this episode! "That's why it's hard to make friends when you're older," she said. "Friendship is rude." Her friend's eyes widened. "What?" "Think about it! When we're kids we decide who we like and stick by them no matter what. As adults, we're taught to be polite. But, friendship is an imposition— at least, I want it to be. Call me after nine o'clock.
