Follow @fleet_dreams This mix was recorded live during an All Night Long session at Mansions in Queens, NY on November 15th, 2024. Consisting of primarily vinyl selections ranging from dub tinged electronica, sultry progressive, percussive tech house, funky pumpers, deep techno & psychedelic electro. The room was electric, sweat dripping from swaying bodies. Thrilled to share a 2 hour section from one of my favorite sets in recent memory. I'll be releasing a new record "Limbs of a Lion" on April 4th, 2025 & celebrating with a release party going b2b with the inimitable Kiernan Laveaux. “Limbs of a Lion” arrives in a dazzling array of shimmering psychedelia, the newest offering on fleet.dreams' own Vinezza records. Following “Echoes of Ego” his acclaimed inaugural 12”, “Limbs of a Lion” sees fleet.dreams' artistry and form blossoming into realms of kaleidoscopic cadence & textural buoyancy. The production flows through a classically dubwise live analog mixing setup, new spheres of delays & echoes evolving fleet.dreams' process to embody a unique & fully realized intersection of live instrumentation & dynamic synthesis. Aaron Davis, the visionary behind Acid Camp, tells the tale of an inspiring journey that spans from the streets of Brooklyn to the sunny vibes of Los Angeles. His adventure began in Brooklyn in 2008, where he landed on the scene by producing events for groups like Discovery and the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival. In 2012, he brought his love of promoting events to LA, co-founding an all-vinyl radio show that serendipitously led to the creation of Acid Camp during a trip to Joshua Tree. In a short amount of time, Acid Camp quickly became a beloved staple of the underground scene, due to the collective energy of passionate friends and a community-driven spirit, as well as iconic merch and branding that added to the underground allure and helped build a dedicated following. Despite the challenges of organizing underground events, Davis's unwavering passion for hosting parties and sharing music has always seen him through, and his dedication to music curation and collaboration with talented artists and engineers has been key to crafting the unique and joyful vibe of Acid Camp events. Ever one to keep it real, Davis sees himself as a raver with a passion for the music rather than a veteran DJ and promoter, and he continues to relish the journey of creating unforgettable experiences with friends and music lovers every event. Here he shares his story with us ahead of his latest mix for As You Like It, let's press play and dive in.

Originally, this 3 part series was meant to come out June 1st, but in light of the murder of George Floyd and the collective righteous anger in pursuit of justice and an end to the cancer that is policing, all of us involved felt it was necessary to put it aside. Taking a step back, being thoughtful about your actions, and critically analyzing what you are doing - and why - is really important to us. To be clear: Black erasure in dance music is horribly real and requires deep examination and decisive action. In relation to the wider world, we believe that the emancipation of Black people is the crest of a revolutionary wave for a better world. Without humanity restoring the personhood that Black people have been stripped of and denied, we will never build a better world. Personally, as “artists” we struggle with the rabidly individualistic self-promotion culture that is deeply entrenched in the dance music “scene”. Production fetishization, Rise-&-Grind culture, and Techno as a shallow signifier to be worn by white colonizers are all part of the same issues. Anti-capitalism without intersectionality is class reductionist and intersectionality without anti-capitalism is (neo)liberal defanged identity politics. Both of these are tools of oppression too, so let’s miscegenate our political ideologies. You cannot fight capitalism with “woke” capitalism. Shifting the balance and power of capital is important - for now - but it is only just that: morphing the shape and color of a gruesome and irredeemable system. Much like the police, the system and industry that brought you “woke” capitalism cannot be redeemed or reformed. But constant suffering is also not the answer. Nor is remaining silent. The failure of the Boomer “New Left” was olive-drab-sour-dour-no-fun-misery-politics. The newer never-ending circular firing squad and permanent state of self-criticism do not lead to full emancipation, either. We are looking for a movement, a culture, a community, a heaving mass. Of accomplices. Armed With Joy. So, after 6 weeks of putting it off, we decided to try to share a little joy, but also to make sure we added a spoonful of medicine to help the sugar go down. Black Lives Matter. All Cops Are Bastards. Fuck the police, no more prisons. Eliminate the carceral state. We are all racist, and we must all listen, learn, struggle and strive to be better. So, see you in the streets. Be safe, take care of each other, watch your backs, never talk to the police and please don't give your heart to a world system based on exploitation of the luckless, give your heart to US! -Pablo (Beaner), Jason (Olin), Tano (might be nice), & Aaron (Acid Camp) Part 1 hosted by Beaner at @beaner Part 2 hosted by Might Be Nice including VIDEO PREMIERE at mightbenice.org Part 3 hosted by Acid Camp at @acidcamp

On May 8th, social distancing rules in the capital loosened, and so Miguel and a few friends met for the first time in months for dinner and some Twitch troubleshooting. That session turned into an 11 hour mix session, a portion of which was live-streamed on Twitch and hosted by Tim Sweeney's Beats in Space channel featuring EVA, Jasen Loveland, and Miguel. This mix was captured after they shut off the stream, had some breakfast, and decided to ride months of pent up energy and a lengthy warmup behind them into the afternoon sun. The result is a fresh and wild mix of new favorites and old, played impatiently, without channel level EQ, and at times too fast. Miguel has made his mark in dance music as a supporter and contributor through his time at Ghostly International as well as behind the decks — we hope you enjoy the mix that fueled a mischievous, socially awkward, tiny dance party.

Follow @lemonfacer Lemonfacer is the pseudonym of Jacob Gronberg, a DJ and electronic music producer from California. Growing up in the suburbs of Orange County he and his friends would spend most of their time recording music and sharing homemade mixes with each other. Between them they had a small collection of instruments and cheap production equipment that they used to make home recordings of jams and experimentations. For a time they had an online record label to house these recordings which spanned different styles of folk, punk, ambient, noise, and other genres. Eventually the group split but Lemonfacer continued to pursue music as a solo act and DJ. After some exposure to underground dance clubs, Lemonfacer eventually shifted focus to house, techno and other more club-friendly genres. Since relocating to Taipei he has self released collections of demos originally composed for live sets at various music festivals and clubs in Taiwan.

Her selections consist of an intersection of stripped down house, electro, and atmospheric techno, but she doesn’t like to be constricted by genre — rather, by feeling (and a tight groove.) In her day-to-day, she is a medical researcher and poet, curious to draw a thread through seemingly disparate disciplines. Her Acid Camp mix is influenced by the texture and energy contrast which has been the basis much of her recent work on and off the dance floor: that of the soft/tender versus the sharp/harsh. It features broken beats which have lifted her up in unexpected moments at the rave, and euphoric atmospheres which have rounded out the edges. The femme artists she has had the pleasure of seeing perform and work with over the last year have been a huge source of influence for this mix.

Meeting in 2018 having both moved from Europe to California, they discovered a unique bond in their worldly music selections. Originating as a radio show and event series with leading independent radio station DUBLAB, SOS’ mission is to bring eclectic left field music from all over the world to the dance floors of LA. This quickly transcended into regular DJ sets, events & brand collaborations. Maddy has worked in independent music for over ten years, and is now A&R director for iconic British indie label Ninja Tune. She co-founded and curated an array of successful club nights, festival stages and multidisciplinary events, signing critically acclaimed and gold selling artists along the way. Tottie is director of events and special projects at DUBLAB and curates music, art and cultural programming that reflects the diverse landscape of the city working with an array of institutions, collectives and brands. Both are avid music collectors with a focus on leftfield disco, house, techno, world music & ambient sounds. Sisters Of Sound will release their first compilation in Spring 2020; a new mixtape series showcasing new tracks from some of the most groundbreaking international female and female identifying talent. Artists involved in the release include Minimal Violence, Nightwave, Via App, rRoxymore, Nene H, Maral, Ivy Barkakati, Masha, C Love & Hinako Omori. The release will be accompanied by a North American tour and selected European festival dates. Opening with The Gagosians called Run For My Honey—a retro futuristic, 4 minute Rock’N’Roll Drama full of narcotic synths and deformed blues guitars. We picked this up on a trip down to see our guys at Pacific Beach Vinyl in San Diego last year. Following is 2 hrs of new beat and synth oddities, breaks and seductive up-tempo house. We included some of our favorite producers of late, rRoxymore, C Love, Chaos in the CBD, Urulu, Flora FM and Desert Sound Colony…. its definitely a mix to get you warmed up for the rave but also a bit of an odyssey. Book-ending with our dear friend Damon Eliza Palermo, and his ambient closer Uplands released on Acid Camp’s All Stars 1 Comp. Enjoy!
