Zum Valentinstag am 14. Februar haben insbesondere die Anemonen ihren grossen Auftritt. Sie sind von einer beschwingten Leichtigkeit, die den nahenden Frühling erahnen lässt. Anemonen (Anemone coronaria) werden kombiniert mit Ranunkeln und Tulpen zu einem Frühlingsstrauss gebunden. Gezogen werden sie energieeffizient in Norditalien kühl unter Tunnels. Ursprünglich stammt die Anemone aus dem Mittelmeergebiet. Dort kommt sie bis auf 1200 Meter über Meer vor. In tieferen Lagen überwiegen die roten Blüten. Sie werden von bestimmten Käfern bestäubt. In höheren Lagen dominieren blaue, violette, rosarote und weisse Farben. Ihre Blüten werden von Wild- und Honigbienen bestäubt. So hält der Blumenstrauss mit Anemonen länger Vase nur zur Hälfte mit Wasser füllen und täglich wechseln. Über Nacht an einen kühleren Ort stellen. .

 Daniel Day-Lewis is coming out of retirement, seven years after his last movie, for a film directed by his son Ronan Day-Lewis. The project was announced Tuesday by Focus Features and Plan B, who are partnering on “Anemone.” The film, Ronan Day-Lewis' directorial debut, will star his father along with Sean Bean and Samantha Morton. The two Day-Lewises co-wrote the film. Earlier Tuesday, Daniel Day-Lewis and Bean were spotted driving a motorbike through Manchester, England, stoking intrigue about his impending return to acting. After making Paul Thomas Anderson's 2017 film “Phantom Thread,” the 67-year-old said he was quitting acting. Given Day-Lewis's decades-long filmography, and 3 Academy Awards to his name, we thought it'd be good to look back at his legacy to help contextualize how significant his contributions have been.    With files from the Associated Press

Anything Goes Anemone and Pathway of Palms We're on the fifth episode of examining the challenges (weeds) and positive practices (seeds) in ministry leadership. This week's guest is a gentleman I had the pleasure of working with at Tucson PD. I first mentioned him in Episode 14 with Stacey Goodman. Richie and I were in Ops South on the morning of 9/11. It was my honor to host him and I learned a few things I hadn't known prior to our interview, like, the fact he started out as a cop in the New York Transit Police. Or the fact that prior to this he had been a craps dealer and DJ in Las Vegas, where he met his beautiful bride!!!Richie was instrumental in bringing a new Police Officers Association (Union) to the agency and he helped move working conditions and pay forward for the agency.
