Follow @screendoor This mix is a snapshot of (mostly) current house, techno and electro sounds that DJ Screendoor showcases in decades-spanning marathon sets in the lush forests, mossy cabins, leftist clubs, antifa hotspots and natty wine bars of the Pacific Northwest underground electronic music scene. DJ Screendoor is a 25+ years multi-genre dj veteran, promoter, label runner and producer based out of Portland, OR but with early ties to the midwest 90s rave scene.  His label Disposable Commodities (est 2014)  is an anything goes techno/electronic outlet. A vinyl hoarder, he also ran a brick and mortar vinyl shop from 2004-2008 where many of his classic tracks were culled from 1990s OG DJs' collections.

(The Most Haunted Village in Norway) *** There are more than a few stories from upright citizens around the world who claim to have seen tiny humans. I'm not talking about the diminutive human beings we used to classify as dwarves or midgets until we became more enlightened. I'm talking about short, maybe two-foot tall, perfectly proportioned people. (Big Stories About Little People)==========HOUR TWO: Like many desolate places, the Arctic has its share of ghost stories and haunted legends floating around the frigid, wild areas of its domain. It might be the frights rather than the cold that gives you goosebumps. (Ghostly Shivers of the Arctic Circle) *** You never know what might be lurking just out of sight – in the shadows, behind a door. I'll share a few true stories that might make you double-check the locks at night and check the closet before going to bed. There are two incorrect assumption about that mental picture. First, most of the accused were hung, and none have been truly verified to be burned alive. And second, sorcery and Satan worship were not seen to be bound by gender, and so either a man, woman, boy, or girl could be a witch. And one of those unfortunate men was Giles Corey – but his punishment went beyond the norm, and into the gruesome. A 40 hour long raid. This was Derrick McManus' day at work in May 1994. Shot 14 times in a mere 5 seconds, and bleeding out on the ground for 3 hours.  Derrick is a 40-year veteran of the South Australia Police. After joining the force in 1976, he moved up the ranks and was eventually selected for the exclusive STAR Group, an elite tactical special operations unit that took on some of the state's most intense cases.  In this episode, Derrick tells host, Brent Sanders, how an arrest warrant turned into what would become South Australia's largest siege, with the offender firing over 2500 rounds in 40 hours, and how he managed to survive against all odds.
