In this compelling episode, Pastor Karl dives into Romans 14, exploring what he calls "Applied Christianity." This chapter challenges both seasoned and new believers to navigate the balance between personal freedom in Christ and public restraint for the sake of others. Pastor Karl unpacks the concept of spiritual maturity, emphasizing private liberty and public restriction as biblical principles rooted in love. He addresses the tension between those strong in faith, who live in the freedom of grace, and those weak in faith, who adhere to stricter rules, using the historical context of meat sacrificed to idols to illustrate disputable matters. Through practical examples like alcohol, Halloween, and homeschooling, Pastor Karl highlights how non-essential issues should not divide the church. He introduces the "law of love," urging listeners to prioritize others' faith over personal freedoms, and explains the Bema Seat judgment, where Christians are rewarded for their sacrifices, not judged for salvation. Join Pastor Karl for a thought-provoking discussion on living out faith with grace, love, and unity.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

Conversations about the environment, climate change, and “going green” quickly become mired in controversy and fierce debate. But what does God say? Are there principles from Scripture that can teach us how to be proper stewards of the world God has made, and how have Anabaptists in the past cared about the creation?More episodes with Matt Landis This is the 241st episode of Anabaptist Perspectives, a podcast, blog, and YouTube channel that examines various aspects of conservative Anabaptist life and thought. In this Bible study titled "Grace Giving," part of the 2024 series "Growing Up and Getting Along: Lessons from 2nd Corinthians," Pastor James D. Gailliard explores the principles of generosity found in 2 Corinthians 8. Pastor Gailliard teaches about the grace of giving, showing how the Macedonian churches exemplified sacrificial giving despite their own challenges. This lesson emphasizes that generosity is not about wealth but about a heart transformed by God's grace and a willingness to trust Him with our resources.Through practical applications and biblical insights, this study encourages believers to embrace giving as an act of worship and a way to reflect God's love. Whether you're looking to grow in stewardship or deepen your understanding of generosity, this lesson provides powerful tools to honor God with your gifts.
In this message, JFK highlights what makes time so critical a resource for every human being and especially for Christians. He urges us to be good stewards of our time as Jesus was, since it will determine our eternal placement. God bless you as you listen.

David Forsyth delves into the sins of wealth as outlined in James 5:1-6. He examines four temptations common to the prosperous: hoarding, fraud, self-indulgence, and oppression. Forsyth warns that these sins of wealth are baked into our culture, potentially robbing believers of joy and blunting their testimony for Christ. He emphasizes the importance of seeking satisfaction in Christ rather than worldly possessions to avoid the corrosive effects of prosperity. ★ Support this podcast ★

What if you were granted the keys to unlock success, not only in your earthly endeavors but in your spiritual journey as well? In our enlightening conversation, we explore the teachings of Christ on using other people's money (OPM) as a strategy for financial prosperity. We debunk popular misconceptions promoted by health and wealth ministries and share our personal experiences with the transformative power of OPM.We delve into the profound parable of the talents and its implications for our lives as followers of Christ. Leo Sabo is President of the Christian Stewardship Network (CSN), which provides training and resources for pastors seeking to disciple their congregations in the area of wise stewardship. Leo shares his remarkable story, from growing up in Romania to a successful ministry as a stewardship pastor at a large church, to taking over as President of CSN. His personal experience led him to his future role in ministry, helping others reshape their relationship with finances and encouraging stepping into joy-filled generosity. Leo is passionate about encouraging discussion of finances within the church. He addresses the hesitation pastors and other church leaders often feel in breaching the subject and offers wisdom and advice for those seeking to do so wisely. Major Topics Include: The mission of the Christian Stewardship Network (CSN) to equip church leaders for stewardship teaching. The need for senior leaders to prioritize teaching stewardship principles in their congregations. The challenges of incorporating stewardship teaching into church culture. Differentiating between obedience and heart-driven generosity. Trusting God's provision through financial offerings. Aligning financial principles with biblical truths for heart change. QUOTES TO REMEMBER “God, whatever you want to do, that's what I want to do.” “I quickly realized that it was not a money issue. It was a heart issue, a spiritual issue.” “Generosity is a byproduct of being a good steward. If you're managing God's resources, then you're going to do it his way.” “You're teaching people how to align their faith with their finances. In this episode, Sam and Dan discuss the biblical doctrine of stewardship. God has given you all that you have. And God gives gifts to men in order for them to steward those gifts to the glory of God. Stewardship, then, is taking all that God has given you, maximizing the potential of each gift according to biblical priorities, and directing all to the glory of God.
