Fear has a way of making everything feel slippery, so we go back to something solid: Scripture. We start with Psalm 71 and its blunt, human plea for protection, then we pray the Lord's Prayer and ask God to guard our hearts, guide our words, and steady our families. Along the way, I reference real-world stories of violence and exploitation that are hard to hear, not to dwell on shock, but to name the reality of evil and the responsibility we carry to protect the vulnerable and seek what is right. From there we turn to the Bible's practical wisdom and hope. Proverbs speaks plainly about conflict in the home, and Luke 8 brings us face-to-face with Jesus' power and compassion as He heals a woman who can't be hidden in the crowd and tells a grieving father not to be afraid. These Gospel moments aren't abstract theology, they're a call to persistent faith when your situation looks final.I also share my conviction that salvation is a choice and that every person decides what they will trust: money, government, cultural narratives, or Jesus Christ. We close with Psalm 71 again, a Medal of Honor account of courage, and a Woodrow Wilson quote about the Bible's role in shaping a nation, ending in prayer and blessing. If this strengthened you, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find this Christian podcast on Psalm 71, the Gospel of Luke, and choosing Jesus when it counts.#WoodrowWilson#ChristianNation#DailyScripture Support the showThe American Soul Podcasthttps://www.buzzsprout.com/1791934/subscribeCountryside Book Serieshttps://www.amazon.com/Countryside-Book-J-T-Cope-IV-ebook/dp/B00MPIXOB2

This thought-provoking Bible Talk presents an insightful and expositional examination of a core Christian doctrine: the resurrection of the dead. In this revealing report, we confront a widespread departure from biblical truth within modern Christendom. Are popular teachings about death and the afterlife based on the Bible or on human tradition? We go directly to the Scriptures to uncover the outstanding hope God offers through a future resurrection, a promise underwritten by the God who created us. This outstanding presentation clarifies what the Bible truly says about the state of the dead, the timing of judgment, and the wonderful hope of immortality granted only through Christ. Segment 1 • Charlie Kirk's memorial pleasantly shocked man who heard hours of Christ-exalting preaching. • Sin, repentance, and the gospel were actually spoken from the stage. • Rob McCoy set the tone: the guest of honor was the King of kings. Segment 2 • Frank Turek gave a bold, gospel-centered proclamation—Charlie is in heaven only because of Christ's sacrifice. • Even political figures like Marco Rubio clearly pointed people to Jesus. • Memorial wasn't just about Charlie—it was about the Savior he served. Segment 3 • Tucker Carlson showed genuine hunger for Christianity but mixed in politics that need clarity. • He highlighted that repentance, not politics, is the starting point for answers. • Other high-profile voices (RFK Jr., Donald Trump Jr.) also mentioned Jesus, surprising many. Segment 4 • The widow Erika Kirk delivered the most Christ-saturated message of all. • Her words cut deep: “Charlie wanted to do God's will” and “Choose Christ above all.” • She even extended forgiveness to the man who killed her husband—radical love on display. ___ Thanks for listening! Mass hysteria has taken over the most veteranized believers, and extreme emotionalism now reigns as king. It reminds me exactly of what happened that day in Ephesus after Paul cast out a spirit of divination from a girl. "And the whole city was filled with confusion...they rushed with one accord into the theatre...Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together." (Acts 19:29,32). I cannot think of a better descriptive picture of what "Christian" landscape has now sadly become. Its our time right now to focus on only one Person...Jesus Christ, who's been such a good friend to us, who has walked us through everything, who fought all our battles and won them for us. Who loved us when no one else did, who forgave us and called us His friends. There is only one Person that we must behold now, "and not another." Kingdoms come and kingdoms go, people live and people die, but Who and what is eternal is our sight. Never forget Him for one moment, never take the eyes of your love off of Jesus Christ. One glance away is all it takes to begin the fading away of His Presence."All that is not God is death.”― George MacDonald, Unspoken Sermons

We refuse to face the truth: the transgender movement is built on a Satanic lie. No one can change the sex God gave them. Pretending otherwise doesn't heal broken souls, it destroys them and puts others in danger.Christians must speak plainly. Love does not mean affirming sin or confusion. Love means pointing people back to Christ, who alone gives us our identity. Until our nation repents and turns back to God, tragedies like this will only increase.Pray for the victims and their families.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

On today's episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we're taking a hard look at Taylor Swift's new pornographic-themed album cover, The Life of a Showgirl. From the drinking and partying she parades as normal to her descent into porn culture, Swift has become a dangerous influence on young girls—and really, on everyone. We'll also address the cult-like following surrounding her, and why parents have a biblical responsibility to guard their children from this idolatry and from being exposed to Taylor Swift's sinful pornographic example. Darkness must be exposed, and the Word of God gives us the standard by which to measure it. We will also discuss how disgusting it is to excuse sin by simply labeling it “adult entertainment.” Unfriendly reminder: Civilization is currently collapsing. They had security. They had geographic advantage.- Obadiah 1:3-4 - 3 The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, in your lofty dwelling, who say in your heart, “Who will bring me down to the ground?”4 Though you soar aloft like the eagle, though your nest is set among the stars, from there I will bring you down, declares the Lord.- Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?- Self-reliance quickly leads to self-deception- Has your heart ever deceived you?- BUT Yahweh will never be defeated.- Obadiah 1:8 - 8 Will I not on that day, declares the Lord, destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of Mount Esau?- They placed their hope in the wisdom of man.- Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”- 1 Corinthians 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.- Obadiah 1:10-12 - 10 Because of the violence done to your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever. 11 On the day that you stood aloof, on the day that strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them. 12 But do not gloat over the day of your brother in the day of his misfortune; do not rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their ruin; do not boast in the day of distress.- Edom's choice was to fulfill their plan rather than participate in God's- Are we ever like the Edomites?- Obadiah 1:15-16 - 15 For the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations. As you have done, it shall be done to you; your deeds shall return on your own head. 16 For as you have drunk on my holy mountain, so all the nations shall drink continually; they shall drink and swallow, and shall be as though they had never been.- Romans 6:23 - “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”- Obadiah 1:21 - Saviors (deliverers) shall go up to Mount Zion to rule Mount Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lord's.- How often are we the Edomite?- Are you building your own kingdom like Edom? Or are you surrendering to God's kingdom?- In His kingdom there is no place for pride.- Choose humility over pride. Choose trust over control. Choose Christ over self.- “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6)- Faith in the One who humbly rules forever.LIFE Group Discussion QuestionsOpener: When was a time you got really upset over something small—and later realized it revealed something much deeper about your heart?1. Have you ever trusted yourself or others more than God—and how did that turn out?4. Why is it so hard to wait on God's plan instead of doing things our own way?5. Jesus chose humility instead of pride—even when He had all the power. What does that teach us about how we should respond when we feel wronged?6. Where Else Shall We Go? The Call to Choose Christ This Homily emphasizes the deep spiritual significance of preparing for the sacraments, . . . . . . particularly for young people approaching their first Holy Communion and Confirmation. It draws on the symbolism of wind as the presence of the Holy Spirit and focuses on the example of Saint Peter, the first pope, as a model of faith and clarity. The Homily underscores the challenge of living a Christian life authentically, reminding listeners that while the teachings of Jesus may be difficult, they are ultimately the path to true life and freedom. Through Peter's bold declaration . . . “Where else shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” . . . the homily also invites young people to reflect on their own choices, the meaning of the sacraments, and their relationship with Jesus and the Church. The Homily ends by highlighting the constancy of Christ's presence in the Eucharist and the personal invitation He offers to each believer to come forward in faith. Listen to Where Else Shall We Go? The Call to Choose Christ ------------------------------------------------- So, we see this wonderful example that where the church is found healing is found sometimes in miraculous ways. But more frequently in ways that are miraculous, but not so obvious. The healing of the heart, the healing of the mind, the healing of the wounds that come with life, and that's the big reminder in our first reading. The church is established for the sake of life, for the sake of healing the woundedness of the world and for the sake of guiding us to our true home. ------------------------------------------------- Image: Christ Charges Peter: Italian Painter: Raphael: 1515 ------------------------------------------------- Gospel Reading: John 6: 60-69 First Reading: Acts 9: 31-42

We left off with there being absolutely no doubt we have turned our backs on God and given him the infamous middle finger saluteIs there any wonder WHY things are going the way they are in this country right now? Many people, some in very influential ministry positions, claim “God will never forget the United States of America… He will preserve this nation… He will protect this nation…, etc.”WHY?If He didn't do it for Israel – what makes the United States any better than Israel when they turned their backs on God?Ok… Ok… so YOU say, you've chosen Christ. Ok. I get that…Do you know who He REALLY is?Do you know what His REAL MISSION is all about?Do you understand HOW He is planning on accomplishing His mission?Do you even know why the NUMBER 4 is so significant to His mission?Well, you are about to find the answers to these questions and more. Amen!Help me welcome back to the program, Scott Wright! Scott, it's great to talk to you again!Ok… We have a lot to talk about today and I could go off in any myriad numbers of directions. But let's try to stay focused today… amen?Ok, I gave a list of questions. Before we get to the first one, “Do you know who Christ really is?” – can you tell us WHY the answers to these questions we are about to go over are so significant to what we see happening right now, in this nation, the world and in Israel?First question, “Who is Christ?”What is so important about “His Mission” that we are not really aware of in our society today? How is He planning on accomplishing His mission and how far along on the plan is He now? What is so significant about the number “4” and why should we be aware of it today?Tie all of this up for us in a big, pretty bow and relate it to what the current events are telling us about to happen…Scott, as usual, you give us a lot to think about and pray about. If someone has a question or would like to reach out to you for more information, how can they do that?I'll put links to all of this in the show notes below…Folks, the information Scott Wright has shared with us today is vital for your life. Not just this physical life, but your spiritual life and that of your family as well. I want to encourage you to reach out to Scott. Ask your questions. If you have a podcast, invite him on to speak to your audience. Amen!Be sure to get into the Word. Study the Word. Apply the Word to your life. Not only will YOUR LIFE get better… but it will start to spread to those you meet as well. Amen! When you use the cross in conversation, people will come to know Him. The great commission is to share the gospel with all people. The best way to do that is to use the power of the cross to cause intrigue. If you do not believe in the death and resurrection of Christ, God wants you to have faith in Him.
