This week, Danny and Sadie explore the nuanced perspective around the prism of deconstruction. Both Danny and Sadie have deconstructed before becoming pastors (and have since as well!), but now they are looking at this conversation from a different vantage point. This week, they'll explore the importance of perspective and nuance in understanding deconstruction's greater meaning, impact, and experience. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/deconstructionzone/message

In this unique and exciting podcast episode, host Doc Jake interviews Danny Matta, the original founder of Athletes' Potential and the current founder and owner of PT Biz. It's a full circle moment as Danny was one of the very first guests on the podcast when Doc Jake took over AP.Danny takes us on a journey of how Athletes' Potential started as a side project while he was teaching, serving as a means to validate and test the concepts he was teaching clinicians. Through word-of-mouth, the business grew organically as Danny saw patients individually or in small groups. This allowed for a deeper level of education and personal connection with each patient. Danny's passion lies in working with diverse patients, and he values learning about their unique lives and values and using this knowledge to help others. The discussion delves into the benefits of the cash-based, one-on-one model that Athletes' Potential follows. This model allows for more time with patients, enabling a better understanding of their goals and the provision of personalized care, rather than solely focusing on their baseline health. Both Danny and Jake agree that this model attracts self-motivated individuals seeking something different from the traditional physical therapy practice. Interestingly, Danny shares that the most memorable patients are those with intriguing lives and values, rather than elite athletes.Danny's vision extended beyond Athletes' Potential when he founded PT Biz, aiming to have a greater impact by teaching other clinicians based on his experiences. Today, PT Biz helps over 60,000 patients annually. Both of Danny's businesses focus on helping people live active, pain-free lives so they can pursue their passions. Jake commends Danny for maintaining his high values and positive impact as his businesses have grown significantly in scale. As the episode concludes, Danny expresses the joy he finds in continuing to be involved in the physical therapy profession through his successful businesses.

George Elek is joined by Ed Quigley and Danny Archer who calls in from sunny Morocco to preview the UK Christmas racing schedule from Kempton. The guys take a look at both the 26th and 27th, as well as a look at the Welsh Grand National from Chepstow and a brief look at the action from Leopardstown in Ireland. The King George takes centre stage as ever at Kempton with Bravemansgame and L'Homme Presse at the top of the market with the former current favourite at a best price of 15/8 but as short as 13/8 in places. Hitman is another in the field who takes Ed's eye as Paul Nicholls looks to win the race for a record 13th time, lining up with Bravemansgame and Frodon also to complete his treble. After being abandoned due to frozen ground last week, the Long walk Hurdle was added to Kempton's card. Champ and Paisley Park retain favouritism with the former looking to go back-to-back having won it last year. Both Danny and Ed have their reservations and are looking elsewhere for this one. McFabulous is the favourite to land the Kauto Star Novices' Chase next up and now into 11/10 having been as big as 13/8.The Christmas Hurdle gives us another chance to see the brilliant Consitution Hill in action as he takes on Epatante once more. The question in this one is how many will line up on the day itself with ten entered at present. The final race on the card at Kempton is the Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle with Danny Archer very keen on Theatre Glory.Over at Chepstow on Tuesday meanwhile, Ed has his best bet of the festive period in the Welsh Grand National. This week we're being raw and real with my husband Danny about why even though we would be bomb ass parents for sure, it's just not in the cards for us.We have so much respect for parents, to put someone else's need before your own can take a lot of courage. But neither of us really felt the desire, want or even need to have our own children. We love kids, but we also love being able to give them back to their own parents. In a lot of cases, people's upbringing and childhood can play a huge part in their decision to want or not want to have kids. Both Danny and I come from divorced parents, step parents, and much younger step siblings. Danny was raised with and was and still is very close to his younger sister. While I was raised an only child, and had a very hard time not being able to see my younger half sister Morgan consistently when Morgan was growing up. Thankfully, I'm so much closer with my sister now thanks to her moving in last year when she needed a new start and a place to stay. How did we feel about kids through our lives before making the decision not to have kids?I always envisioned having children, mostly sports related things like; “Man it would be so cool to watch my kid playing sports”. Yeah, I could want to have children for all those kinds of reasons, but at the end of the day it's the child's life, I wouldn't want to be the parent that's living vicariously through them. Danny has always been a heavy proponent to not having kids, so when we got together, the conversation around kids was always “Well, maybe. Maybe one day”.What options did we explore once we decided not to have kids? There's a few different ways to go, a vasectomy, getting my tubes tied, staying on birth control, or using condoms for the rest of our life. I asked if Danny changed his mind would I give into having kids, or if I changed her mind would Danny give into having kids? If one of us very strongly wanted to have kids, we would, because we love each other. So with me not being able to be on birth control any longer, the best option for us was a vasectomy and freezing sperm as a just in case backup plan. We go in depth about Danny's experience with his appointments for freezing sperm in this episode, but we'll do another one on the vasectomy because that deserves an episode on it's own. We're talking about this just to normalize the choice to not have kids. With our generation and the way the world is right now, the amount of people choosing to not have kids is increasing. At the end of the day, we live an amazing life together. We love the life we're living right now, and the life we're continuing to build together. In a special Father's Day episode, Danny Meyer (Shake Shack, Union Square Hospitality Group) and his daughter Hallie Meyer (NYC's Caffè Panna) share what they have learned from each other and how it has shaped their lives, particularly during the challenges of 2020. Both Danny and Hallie found their way to food by following their desire to do what they love. Hallie's path ran parallel to her father's and she describes how she made it her own. “I do credit you for that, Dad: for setting an example that I can do whatever I want with the business… that there's not one way to do it,” she says. Danny shares how Hallie has equally taught and inspired him. “I'm so proud of the way she does business and the spirit that she brings to the business… Hallie had a courage and an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to pivot that really inspired me,” says Danny about his daughter's response to the pandemic. Hallie and Danny talk about building purpose into their business. For Hallie, that has meant creating a business with social justice at its core and creating partnerships with organizations like Drive Change and Emma's Torch that connect youth and refugees with career opportunities in the food industry. For Danny, he remarks on his luck to be in his industry. “What a privilege to be in a business whose outcome is making feeling people feel better. Who couldn't use more of that?”
For this stop, the team reunites to talk about how Disneyland reopening after being closed for over a year! Both Danny and Jordan, discuss their experiences at the park after being away for so long and how it is changed.
Geekorama is Produced by Superhero-Fiction.comhttps://www.superhero-fiction.com For this week’s episode of Geekorama, we’re talking about T.L. Heinrich! How did she get into writing and what the hell turned her onto superheroes? We’ll find out what got her to this point, and what steamy stories she’s cooking up next. Pop-Culture Trivia - Becky Cloonan, the first woman artist for BatmanBecky Cloonan was born in Pisa, Italy. She went to New York's School of Visual Arts, which offered the kind of rigorous training that Cloonan had been searching for. She also collaborated with writer Steven T. Seagle on the Vertigo Comics series American Virgin, which was cancelled with the 23rd issue. In 2012 she became the first woman to draw the main Batman title. (Her issues included Ghost in the Machine, The Wedding Batman Black and White and Gotham Academy) GEEK OUTSTrish - Cobra Kai never say die! Yes, I’m totally geeking out about the series based on the 80’s sensation that was The Karate Kid. Both Danny and Johnny are back in this series that takes place many decades later. While the characters might be the same, the story is not. In fact, there is no clear villain or hero in the first season, unless you count the characters’ own inner demons. It’s a redemption story, a comedy, a drama. It’s got everything. Including nostalgia dripping from every episode. Both season now on Netflix.Jeremy - We’re going old school and revisiting some early 2000’s science fiction. The first is a hyper saturated movie with all the glitz and none of the glam: Ultra Violet. But why stop there? Let’s throw Aeon Flux into the mix. Even an outstanding job by Theron can’t save this sinking ship. They might lack in story, but they’re perfect for low-key popcorn munching.Deep Dive - All about TrishThis week Trish interviews Jeremy about all things zombies and superheroes. Regis Philbin's list of accomplishments as infinite as his appeal was universal. And having known him over the years—for a while we even went to the same gym—I wanted to add my personal tribute to the avalanche of accolades that have come pouring in. Regis had a way of making everyone he met feel instantly at ease. While some stars are totally different in real life, his sense of humor and sincere warmth were exactly the same as his on-air persona. We all appreciated it, even those of us about to go through the grueling workouts of trainer Radu. When my first book, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner of Champions, was published, I was asked to appear on his morning talk show. (His beautiful wife Joy was his co-host that day, and the other guest was Danny DeVito.) Regis had wanted me to recreate the baked stuffed potato that a superstar athlete in my book had heralded for pregame dinners. I must admit I was a bit nervous. It certainly didn’t help when he said, albeit with a twinkle, “You better be good!” Right then the little red light went on and we were off and running. All went well with the interview. Until, that is, it was time to stuff the potato. Unfortunately, as I was putting in the cheese, it slipped out of my hand—and right into Regis’ shoe. Both Danny and Regis were overcome with hysteria. I, on the other hand, was mortified. But soon after I was laughing along with them. That was the kind of guy Regis was! You just couldn’t stay down around him.Not too long ago, I had the opportunity to have both Regis and Joy on MY show, which my producer, Laurie, decided to rerun below. He talked about his coronary bypass and what changes he made to his daily routine because of it. Alas, sometimes the powers that be have other plans and he was taken away from us way too soon. Suffice it to say, however, that he left the world a better place — and the heavens are shining infinitely brighter from his light.

Both Danny and Ed are looking to beat the favorites in each division and have a few Risen Star double plays mapped out that could return anywhere from 100- to 250-to-1! Danny aka "D-Lux". Danny Shuler from the legendary Brooklyn band, "Biohazard" met with me at the Park Place Diner in New Jersey (of all places) to be my guest on Episode 93. Both Danny and I grew up in Canarsie, a neighborhood in Brooklyn, which I knew but completely forgot about until we started talking. We talk about the "old neighborhood" and a bunch of people that we both knew from way back. We get into him joining Biohazard and how that all came about. The ups and downs of the band as a whole, touring, the break up and reforming of the band. As well as what the future holds. This was a lot of fun to do. Especially because, being born and raised in Brooklyn, Biohazard was a huge part of my life for many years. I hope you enjoy this. Respect.
