The Lac du Flambeau Tribal Council voted to keep roads open that are at the heart of a longstanding dispute with the town. The Wisconsin-based Penzeys spice company has been mailing out tens of thousands of free spices to residents of Washington, D.C. And, a 157-year-old brewery is set to close this week, that's despite efforts from Leinenkugel family to save it.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources issued permits for a controversial project around a northern Wisconsin tribe's reservation. The Arrowhead School District is pushing a plan that would ban transgender athletes in school sports. And, Chippewa Falls lost a hospital earlier this year.
