Los canadienses Dallas Good (The Sadies), y Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire), formaron un proyecto en 2009 llamado The Watchtowers. Las grabaciones para un primer disco tardaron una década en llegar pero el plan quedó truncado con la muerte de Dallas en 2022. Dex Romweber abandonó este mundo en febrero de 2024.En el día en que cumpliría 60 años celebramos el legado de uno de los artistas más genuinos y cautivadores en el underground de las últimas cuatro décadas. En junio de 1976 se lanzó el cuarto álbum de los Flamin’ Groovies, que también fue el primero de la segunda etapa de esta banda con dos historias bien diferenciadas. “Shake some action” marcó un nuevo rumbo para el grupo californiano, con el fundador Cyril Jordan convertido en capitán y un joven Chris Wilson incorporado como segundo de a bordo. Juntos dieron forma a un fantástico trabajo, álbum pionero del power pop.
