Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!This week Pip is joined by RHYS & EGGSY of GOLDIE LOOKIN CHAIN!Pip is joined by 2 remaining members of the Newport rap crew whose classic jam "Guns Don't Kill People (Rappers Do)" will surely be in your mind already... If you're unfamiliar, that would be a really good starting place to capture the vibe of these fun loving rap folks. For those of us who were around and present at the time the crew blew up, you'll have a mix of fond and irritating memories (through pure catchiness of said single), but it's all done with tongue in cheek and a good spirit of playfulness. Actually the beat on 'Guns...' is pretty tight tho... So enjoy this three-way chat covering many elements including working in retail, the road to music and fame, how's life in Newport, understanding accents, global success and even a bonus on-air scam call up top! The timing couldn't be more perfect. Have fun with, it's a nice revisit to a time a couple of decades ago, a time which is now on a nostalgia shelf but always worth looking back on.PIP'S PATREON PAGE if you're of a supporting natureGLC PODCAST (and HERE)GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLEHOMEPAGEINSTAGRAMSPEECH DEVELOPMENT WEBSTOREPIP TWITCH • (music stuff)PIP INSTAGRAMPIP TWITTERPIP PATREONPIP IMDBPOD BIBLE Hosted on Acast. With The Golden Circle making almost as much as the original Kingsman movie, Fox felt like they had a franchise on its hands. Yet, director Matthew Vaughn had plans that had nothing to do with continuing the story of Eggsy. Instead, he wanted to pull a George Lucas and go back to the beginning. The result is 2021's The King's Man, a WW1 set prequel that tells the story about how The Kingsman came to be. Or does it? Join Matt, Adam, and Garrett as they review the perceived flop and determine whether the film is worth the derision it has received. And be sure to NOT play a drinking game to how many times Adam or Matt mention 2017's Wonder Woman. Otherwise you will fall dead by the podcast's end. Come back next week as the boys close out this leg of Marvel by reviewing 2024's Argylle.

The boys discuss the costs of creating an album, the disappointing Glastonbury line up, snoring on tour buses, playing the Swansea Arena, signing a record deal with Revolver and the Swans turning Cardiff over again plus much much more….@ambitioniscritcal1997 on Instagram @TheAiCPodcast on Twitter

Robby Hoffman is a comedian from New York and Montreal, living in Los Angeles. We've actually gone and done it. We've made a TV show for the BBC! Treats all round if you live in the UK and you're a fully paid up BBC TV license fee payer upper because you can now feast your eyes on our unexplainable comedy TV festival! For a limited time only our episodes are freely available on the BBC iPlayer - just go to the BBC iPlayer, sign in or sign up if you haven't already done so and search for The Unexplainers. Dare to believe!
The Unexplainers visit the small Welsh village of Pentyrch near Cardiff. John's hunting down a UFO, but Mike's wants to find a favourite sweet shop from his childhood memory. When the village notice board starts talking to John in code, his paranoia grows. Are they being watched by something worse than the Men in Black? A trip to a reported UFO landing site with some UFO hunters could solve everything. But a field full of sheep and a football field sized pizza slice only adds to the mystery.
A taste of Mike's blood sets John on a mission to prove Vampires are real. After folklore expert Dr Juliette Wood tells of undead revenants, the Unexplainers visit the welsh village of Marford. Strange vampire fighting architecture in the village is nothing compared to an even stranger tale of a window tapping vampire bride. To discover more, Mike and John spend a night in an ancient local pub and not only provoke resident vampire entities but somehow end up getting accidentally married.
When Mike's gammy knee brings some deep research to an abrupt end, John realises he needs to do something. When you're investigating the paranormal, there's nothing worse than having a skeptic with a sports injury on the team. To help Mike's body return to its former skeptical glory, John drags his fellow unexplainer on a quest to rid him of ailments. John thinks modern medicine is a bit boring and instead opts to hunt down the healing power of the Holy Grail. But when the cup of Christ is tracked down to a welsh manor house, it doesn't quite seem to yield fast enough results. The duo begin an epic quest for alternative therapies, and conclude with a final experiment that not only blows John's mind, but perhaps changes Mike's belief system for ever.
John hopes to become the first dry human to prove that wet Mermaids exist. Mike's worried, because whilst the UK braces itself for a winter onslaught of hurricane force winds, John's latest water-based quest for the truth looks like it'll end up with both of them in Davy Jones' Locker. A trip to see a local storyteller leaves John believing he's found some 'solid mermaidy fact' but as storm winds build, a visit to the national library of Wales provides the opposite of evidence and leaves John stormy with anger. John's not going to give up on his Mermaid obsession. Mike's attempts to wash away the theory with help from a marine biologist backfires spectacularly and The Unexplainers find themselves heading out on the high seas using the mystical and magical floating powers of something called "a boat".
When John discovers a real scientist who has proven the existence of a Ghost Slug, the duo begin an adventure into phantom animals. Heading to a mysterious castle, sleeping in a tent and setting up John's home made ghost traps, will they make contact with an infamous Ghost Monkey?
A chance discovery sets John on an anxious mission to protect The Unexplainers from impending doom. The end of the world starts to look like a welcome prospect for Mike as John's doomsday panic leads to the exploration a nuclear bunker and a chat with the man people call Dr. Apocalypse.
After a long wait Mike and John with be back to unexplain the most unexplainable mysteries.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the follow-up to the wildly popular Kingsman: The Secret Service directed and co-written once again by Matthew Vaughn. The Kingsman universe lives somewhere between James Bond and Austin Powers, with a bit of almost superhero level action sprinkled in for good measure. Starring Taron Egerton once again as the young charismatic spy Eggsy. Egerton is joined by Colin Firth, Mark Strong, and Sophie Cookson all reprising their roles from Kingsman: The Secret Service. They are joined by the Statesman, the American version of the Kingsman, lead by Jeff Bridges, Pedro Pascal, Halle Berry, and Channing Tatum. The two teams have to come together to take on Julianne Moore who plays Poppy Adams, the head of an organization called “The Golden Circle.” Taking the best of what worked in the first film, and cranking them up while leaning heavily into the world that director Matthew Vaughn has created (based on the comic “Secret Service” by Mark Millar) makes for one of the more fun films this year. Balls to the wall action, well-placed comedy, and over the top international spycraft is a great combination this is ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle.' Amazing. Amazing - of course!” When asked to compare Eggsy to Bond, Egerton said the following: “I don't know how much better [Eggsy] is ... I think he's quite a nice alternative. Bond is, you know, eternally super cool and clean cut and sharp. Eggsy is too, but Eggsy doesn't always get it right and I think that's the fun of Eggsy. He's not quite formed yet. Maybe one day he'll be James Bond but, for now, he isn't.”Q Branch:- ELEMENTS installationAccording to 007.com, 007 ELEMENTS will be an installation celebrating the cinematic history of Bond.
