They may have made it safely out of Africa. They may have food.but now the Israelites are thirsty. Here in the Book of Exodus, the people set out from the Desert of Sin, following wherever God leads them. With nothing to drink, they vent their frustration at Moses. Moses too is unhappy: he wishes that they would simply trust God and not test him by these outbursts of anger.Seriously worried that some of them might actually pick up rocks and hurl them at him, Moses begs God to throw him some kind of a lifeline. Gavin Webster is the king of the service stations. Ask anyone, they'll tell you that. But is he clever enough to get into Oxbridge University? Only one way to fine out, by getting him on this podcast that I'm doing every bloody day of the Edinburgh Fringe where I ask him some questions to decide just that. So I did. I'm Lee Kyle by the way, come to my show if you want, although I'm off til Friday for my anniversary so I'm currently not bothered so go to Gavin's in the meantime. I've seen it, it has a good bit with a finger puppet. He's the king of the service stations for crying out loud. Like this nonsense? Subscribe to 'Which is the best?' wherever you get podcasts, except some places. He's also the Pirate King.
Holy shit! Comedian's Comedian type comedian Gavin Webster comes on my podcast and then my face! One of the mostly widely loved and respected acts on the comedy circuit has a chin wag with me about everything and nothing. Gavin is an honourable man and I regularly phone his show The Comedy Results which is available live through Mixlr on Saturday night at midnight. Comedians call in and tell him how their gigs went. Or I phone in, put on a funny voice and pretend to be someone else. It's a ton of fun and you should give it a listen. 2012 #7: Dude Love - Mick Foley and Gavin Webster. Wrestling legend Mick Foley is coming on to the tiny Stand wrestling arena and Richard is determined that only one of them will leave the stage alive. Which is probably foolish of him. But he's had a good life. Rich has some predictions for the Scottish Premier League title and some stuff to say about partisan football supporters and there's a chance that he might be ripped apart before Foley has even arrived. But together Foley and Herring can take on all the Scotch and will mispronounce city names as much as they want. What you gonna do about it? The chat is mainly about wrestling, from Big Daddy to Stone Cold Steve Austin, ripped off ears, teeth in noses and how many explosives you need to put on top of barbed wire to make a really exciting pretend fight. Foley has swapped the ring for the stand-up stage, a much more dangerous place. Stand-up from Gavin Webster, who has a broken wrist which would seem impressive on any other day, but it's hardly competition is it?
