GOOS (QATAR) With a combination of steady, yet very well received gigs, Goos brings a distinctive energy to the floor. His sound ranges from intricate melodies to chunky basslines, often inspired by earthy tones from around the world. Goos was born in Doha, Qatar to musically inclined parents who introduced him to rock music at a very young age. This early onset of music led to a gamut of musical influences in his life ranging from Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Pink Floyd. His deep- seated love for percussion instruments led Goos on a pursuit to learn the Mridangam. This subsequently enabled him to also take up drumming, giving him a well-rounded understanding of percussion. Goos discovered his passion for dance music through the unique sounds of Eric Prydz and Roger Sanchez. Goos hosted his own showcase at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) in 2018 titled Journey onTour presenting artists from around the world apart from Journey on Tour gigs across India. Goos has played alongside international artists such as Acid Pauli, Viken Arman, Julian Jeweil,Olivier Giacomotto, Denis Horvat, Toto Chiavetta, Ten Walls, Paji, Lane 8, Yotto, Ben Bohmer, Gallago, Nils Hoffman, Dee Montero, Tinlicker, Kora, Theo Kottis, Kevin De Serna, Eelke Kleijn,Sebastien Leger, Joseph Ashworth, Roger Martinez, Dousk, Just Her, Roger Sanchez, Kid Crème and Funkagenda to name a few. Goos has also played at the Echoes of Earth Festival, Satellite Beachside festival in Goa and Go:Madras in Chennai alongside many local acts apart from international artists. Goos was picked as one of ten rising DJ's worldwide by Pioneer DJ for their Kuvo service. Author Gunivortus Goos joins me to talk about the long awaited (by me especially) English translation of his book on Nehalennia.  The book is avaialable in German, Dutch, and now English.  The English title is: Nehalennia: Divine Lady of Prosperity, Trade and Safe Crossings.  It is now available via Amazon throughout the world and in Europe on BoD Buchshop.  Nehalennia is a Dutch Goddess who was revered and honored in the area controlled by the Romans of the first - second centuries in what is now the southern west coast of the Netherlands.  After that time, Nehalennia was lost to the oceans and time and evidence was literally fished up in the 17th century in the form of votive stones, revealing an acitive practice of honoring her.  Goos and I talk about Nehalennia, a bit about her origins,  about the process of researching and bringing the information together for the original printing of the book, and about bringing in into an English version.    The book has minor updates of new finds and information not in the German or English editions.  Goos has many other books available on a variety of other Gods, Goddesses, and topics which you can find more about at his website Boudicca. GOOS (QATAR) With a combination of steady, yet very well received gigs, Goos brings a distinctive energy to the floor. His sound ranges from intricate melodies to chunky basslines, often inspired by earthy tones from around the world. Goos was born in Doha, Qatar to musically inclined parents who introduced him to rock music at a very young age. This early onset of music led to a gamut of musical influences in his life ranging from Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Pink Floyd. His deep- seated love for percussion instruments led Goos on a pursuit to learn the Mridangam. This subsequently enabled him to also take up drumming, giving him a well-rounded understanding of percussion. Goos discovered his passion for dance music through the unique sounds of Eric Prydz and Roger Sanchez. Goos hosted his own showcase at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) in 2018 titled Journey on Tour presenting artists from around the world apart from Journey on Tour gigs across India. Goos has played alongside international artists such as Acid Pauli, Viken Arman, Julian Jeweil, Olivier Giacomotto, Denis Horvat, Toto Chiavetta, Ten Walls, Paji, Lane 8, Yotto, Ben Bohmer, Gallago, Nils Hoffman, Dee Montero, Tinlicker, Kora, Theo Kottis, Kevin De Serna, Eelke Kleijn, Sebastien Leger, Joseph Ashworth, Roger Martinez, Dousk, Just Her, Roger Sanchez, Kid Crème and Funkagenda to name a few. ESB's Venture Innovation Team, X_Site, in partnership with Granular Energy has successfully completed the first phase of a pilot integration that has made generating hourly matched green energy reports feasible for several sample commercial customers. To support targets that address climate change, large companies increasingly seeking a guarantee of green energy from their energy suppliers before switching. These guarantees of origin energy certificates (GOOs)?are matched on an annual or monthly basis so it can often prove difficult for energy companies, and their customers, to report on their green energy usage on an accurate basis. As part of this pilot, data from ESB's Carnsore wind farm was directly matched to test customers hourly consumption, demonstrating that the data could be matched accurately and reported immediately to customers. Working in partnership with Granular Energy - winners of the ESB supported Free Electrons global accelerator programme in 2023 - the pilot exploring the potential of providing a new platform for GOO certificates which will benefit ESB's customers and internal trading teams. Geraldine Moloney, Head of New Ventures at ESB, said: "We are committed to making it easier for commercial customers to track their green energy reporting - a crucial step for many in meeting important climate targets - and this innovative project demonstrates our continued commitment to finding innovative solutions to enable the delivery of such solutions. We are delighted with the results of our pilot with Granular Energy into the future and I am excited to see how this can help support the delivery of our own Net Zero by 2040 strategy."
